Kogenji Temple has served as a Jodo Shinshu Honganji-ha temple for 426 years.
The main hall was destroyed in the Satsuma Rebellion in Meiji 10 (1877).
The current ceiling dragon in the main hall was created to recreate the cloud-dragon painting that was said to have once adorned the ceiling.

Measuring 11 meters wide by 8 meters long and weighing a total of 800 kg, the work combines Souhakuryu, Hanamaru, and Higo Rokka and ranks among the largest in Japan. Its layered composition of carved colorwork and painting is unique.
The best way to admire the ceiling dragon painted overhead is to lie back and look up!!

For this plan, a bed is placed directly beneath the carved painted ceiling while Hanae Yamamoto, a therapist based in Kikuchi City, performs the treatment.

By night, the ceiling carving lit by soft light reveals shadows and highlights that give it a different character from daytime.

Based in Kikuchi City.
She offers highly regarded, original beauty chiropractic treatments developed from 25 years of experience and over 50,000 treatments.
She studied techniques such as pelvic correction and symmetric facial alignment in the school division of Beauty Chiropractic Acupuncture Clinic corp and completed a therapist training course.
Aiming to provide community-centered beauty chiropractic care, she opened her practice in 2021 in Kumamoto Prefecture’s Kikuchi County.
