Minagi Station on the Bobi Line in Okayama Prefecture. During a recent visit to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter in Japan, I was enchanted by the beautiful white-walled townscape and the rich history and art it held. The serene atmosphere along the Kurashiki River, with its white-walled warehouses and willow trees, offered a truly unique and charming experience. Exploring the traditional buildings and modern shops, such as the Kurashiki Canvas and Kurashiki Denim stores, was a delight. The area was bustling with tourists. I spent an entire day enjoying myself in the history, art, and culture of this remarkable quarter and look forward to returning in the future.

Rice fields in Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture. It is not rezoned, and it is not possible to mow all of it with a combine, so I mow it by hand. The children also mobilize to harvest rice with all three generations of relatives. It is also accustomed to use a sickle to reap, and two bunches are reaped in one pull. The harvested rice is bundled up and hung on a bamboo pole. The children are smiling and happily helping from beginning to end. Rice, delicious! And I eat a lot. Along with the scenery, I would like to preserve this traditional culture.
