#009 There are about 50 restaurants and confectionery shops in Tonomachi. This is the second installment of the Gourmet series! We would like to introduce an Udon noodles restaurant that opened in May of the first year of Reiwa and is now popular outside Tonomachi. ~Now it's all "Specialties of Tono"~ Hidenoya Udon noodles (Hinoya Udon noodles) Gari off the Tono Interchange, turn left at the first traffic light, and after a short distance, you will see a sign for "Udon noodles" on your left. That is the "Hidenoya Udon noodles" introduced this time. In most cases, the Car parking lot at lunchtime is Car full. We will introduce the recommended menu of Hidenoya Udon noodles, desserts that only those in the know know, and when you should go at the Time Slot / Time of Day. ◆ Recommended menu (including my recommendation) 〇Vegetable tempura bukkake Udon noodles Vegetables are purchased at Roadside Stations or wholesale directly from farmers. Therefore, all of them are vegetables from Tonomachi. The vegetables are sweet and the batter is crispy! It's addictive!! 〇Meat ball bukkake Udon noodles The simmered beef goes well with the broth and hot balls, and it's delicious!! I recommend this to students and meat Udon noodles lovers! By the way, it is my recommendation. (laughs) In addition, there are also "Ume Plum Grated Bukkake Udon Noodles" and "Cold Zaru Udon Noodles" that you will want to eat this season, as well as a set menu of Udon noodles and tempura! Here, we will also introduce a surprisingly unknown dessert after a aftermeal. It is "homemade soy milk pudding". In fact, there are customers who come for this dessert and this pudding. I sometimes go there for this. But it's delicious because it's eaten after Udon noodles! Homemade looks delicious, doesn't it? Black honey and powder are sprinkled from the top of the pudding, and its smoothness and slight sweetness give you an Impression that you have never eaten before. I lived in Kagawa for university, so I ate a lot of Chewy Udon noodles and delicious Udon noodles. However, the noodles at "Hidenoya Udon noodles" are chewy, and you can feel the Commitment in the broth and ingredients, and they are unique, so I personally think that "Hidenoya Udon noodles" is the most delicious. I was surprised by the Commitment and delicacy of the manager of this shop. When you stop by Tonomachi, be sure to come and eat the exquisite Udon noodles. Finally, when is the best Time Slot / Time of Day? Weekdays, it is recommended to come at the same time as the store opens or after 1:30. It depends on the day, but this Time Slot / Time of Day is good! On Vacation days, it is basically full! ◆ Outline of the store Business hours 11:00~14:30 Regular holiday Tuesday (with temporary closure) ☎ 0983-32-8311 Instagram⇒@hinoyaudon

#008 【Sightseeing spot Special Feature Part 2 ✨】 Introducing the Sightseeing spot "Tono Winery" where you can overlook Tono Town! I will do my best to make you want to go! Tono wine has won numerous awards both in Japan and abroad! The Tono Winery where the wine is produced is packed with various charms. We will introduce such wines and Winery. ◆ About Tono Wine Originally, Miyazaki Prefecture had a shochu culture, so wine had not penetrated easily, and it was said that the environment was unfavorable for grape cultivation. Nevertheless, Tono Wine is made with the idea of "making world-class wines" by inheriting the foundation built by "Eitomo Hyakuji", who continued to challenge Cultivation of grapes. Speaking of Tono wine, it is a Rose wine from Campbell Early, but in fact, this wine was selected as one of the "100 Best Wines in the World" by the wine report in 2004, and this Rose has many repeat customers even now. Many wines are awarded in domestic and international competitions and awards every year, so there are many people who come to buy Tono wine not only from within the prefecture but also from outside the prefecture and from outside the country, and order online. There are wines that are easy to drink even for those who are not good at wine, and there are wines that use not only grapes but also Miyazaki's Specialties "Mango". What kind of place is Tono Winery where such Tono wine is made? ◆What kind of place is Tono Winery? Tono Winery spreads out on the Makiuchi Plateau surrounded by the Hyuga-nada and Osuzu mountain range. Since you can overlook Tonomachi, it is also famous as a night view Spot and a superb view Spot for the town's fireworks festival. Visiting the site is also available, as this place has shops with wine and bakeries, Brewery and vineyards. Thereare is not usually allowed into the Brewery, so I don't know much about how it is made, but there is a place in the shop where you can see a little inside. You'll be surprised at how big the machine is! Also, I have never been to and vineyard myself. However, there is a row of grapes planted next to the cars parking lot, so you can have a simulated experience. And most of all, the shop! There are dozens of wines in this shop, and the descriptions are written in detail, making it easy to choose even if you don't know. Also, if you can't choose, it's a good idea to ask someone nearby who is familiar with wine. In addition to wine, there are many "Snacks" that go well with the wine, so it will be a time of happiness for wine lovers. In addition, this shop also has a bakery, so many people come for bread. There are many types of bread, and the type changes from day to day, so it is one of the Traditional Japanese straw raincoats. Please stop by when you come to Tonomachi. Now, the next Sightseeing spot Special Feature is "Roadside Station", the gateway to the road in Tonomachi. Please look forward to!!

#004 It's getting a little hotter! I heard that the rainy season has started today in southern Kyushu, but I don't hate rain! Now, as the rainy season ends, summer will come all at once. Since it is already summer on the calendar, we will introduce the "Tono Shrine Summer Grand Festival", which is a summer tradition in Tonomachi, Miyazaki Prefecture! 【Minamoto of the Tono Shrine Summer Grand Festival】 When you think of summer, you think of fireworks, stalls, and Bon Dancing. Depending on the region, various traditional events such as the Nebuta Festival in Aomori and the Gion Festival There are. What is the traditional event in Tsunomachi, it is the "Tsuno Shrine Summer Festival". In the first place, festivals are not held for no reason, but are almost always held for some purpose. For example, to protect against pests and Nature disasters, to ward off epidemics, and to interact with local residents. So, what about the Miyano Shrine Summer Grand Festival? In fact, it There are Minamoto at the Miyano Shrine Summer Grand Festival. It is said that the origin of this Festival Minamoto was due to the fact that Empress Jingong invited a festival to Mifune during the Silla expedition. The meaning of this Festival is that since Tonomachi is a town where the agriculture and livestock industry is thriving, the purpose There are is to ward off pests that hinder a good harvest, as well as typhoons in Miyazaki Prefecture, and to pray for the expulsion of epidemics. However, in fact, Ooanamuchinomikoto, who is enshrined in the Tono Shrine, is also the god of water, so it rained on festival days, and a few years ago a typhoon hit directly. Nevertheless, the Town residents continue to hold this festival without stopping. 【Charm of this Festival】 It is a summer festival that people who were born and raised in Tonomachi look forward to every year, so much so that they say, "I don't go home for Bon or New Year, but I only go home for the summer festival," or "It's not summer if I don't go to the summer festival." That much? You might think so, but I'm one of them. Born and raised in Tonomachi, I have loved this festival since I was a child, and whenever I am in the third year of junior high school, I carry the Float of the junior high school. When you experience this, you will feel the coolness and satisfaction of the Float Stand, and you will also feel that you want to carry the Float Stand somewhere someday. We would like to introduce the charm of the "Miyano Shrine Summer Grand Festival". ◆About the schedule of the Festival August 1 and 2 of each year ◆Introduction of Float Stand In addition to the golden Mikoshi of the shrine, there are several Float stands in this Festival. It is no exaggeration to say that this Float is the charm of this Festival. ・Hamawaka Float (Shimohama area) ・Shinmachi Float (Shinmachi District) ・Kitawaka Float (Kitamachi District) ・Village Pump Float (mainly in the pine grove area) Float drums from these four towns Parade around the town for two days, and after entering the palace on the second day, they fight. In addition, there are Ands of Tono Junior High School Float, Shimohama Children's Float, Shimachi Children's Float, Ichinomiya Nursery School Mikoshi, etc., which liven up the festival. In addition, this is not the only thing that enlivens the festival, but there are also Tono Youth Drums, Djebe Drums, Pine Grove Lions, Yosakoi Maitreya Ren, and dances by each elementary school, and the sound of Drums echoes in various places over the two days. ◆ Contents of 2 days First of all, on the first day, "beach descent" is held, and Sarutahiko and a lion lead the Mikoshi while dispelling evil spirits from the path. The good Saruta Hiko Taki a tree branch to the ground, and a lion bites the heads of the onlookers as they walk. Some children cry because it is so powerful. As I do so, a golden Mikoshi carrying a junior high school boy comes from behind. The next thing that appears is the Float stand of Tono Junior High School. Girls carry the Float stand until the beach descent. Next, Float stands from the four towns will be lined up while carrying shouts that are as good as junior high school students. That's how we go down the beach. On the second day, a Float drum stand parades through the town, and in the evening, a Mikoshi departs along the shopping street, followed by other Float stands. Beyond that, the Finale place, "Hyuga Province Ichinomiya Tono Shrine" awaits. Thousands of onlookers gather in front of the Torii (shrine gate) gate on the east side of the Tono Shrine to catch a glimpse of the powerful scene, waiting for the sound of the Float to be heard. At 7 p.m., all the Mikoshi and Float drums pass through the Torii (shrine gate) gate to enter the shrine. In fact, the purpose of the visitors is after entering the palace. As I mentioned above, what happens after entering the palace is a "fight between Float Stands". When you hear the word "fight", you think of many things that come to mind, such as fistfights! All right! There are no fistfights, and there are good police officers. It seems that in the old days there were accidents and real fights, but now there are no such things. Festival fights are fought by hitting each other with Float stands. If you press a few meters, you win. There are also people who come from outside the prefecture and foreign countries just to see this. This festival is worth coming to. ◆Summary One of the charms of Tsunomachi is the "Tsuno Shrine Summer Grand Festival", which contains the history and the thoughts of the people who have inherited it so far. There are many similar festivals all over the country. However, each festival has its own history, charm, and scenery. Please come to the summer grand festival that the residents of Tono Town residents have created for decades.

🍵 Yamashigi no Kama Roasted Tea 🍵 The delicious season 🍵 of New Tea Raised kama-roasted tea grown in Yamashigi no Mori is now available! A forest kominka in the mountains over 600 meters Elevation "Yamashigi no Mori" This kominka house, which is over 140 years old, was used as an important place for transportation in the era when there were no cars. It was crowded. In the old days, travelers and luggage exchanges were not in the lowlands along the river, but on the ridges with a good view. They were going back and forth. Raised sprouts that have grown in such a forest of yamashigi, Made in the old-fashioned way, this "Yamashigi no Kamaricha 🍵" It was made only with the most tea. When it comes to the Golden Week season, the houses with tea plantations are all about tea picking. Several tea factories in the Village are in full operation from morning to night. Gari's kama-roasted tea was also made in such a situation. Until it reaches everyone's house, it is a "boxed" that has never left Morotsuka. It's kama-fried. (Actually, it arrives in a bag) Kamaricha is a manufacturing method that the people of Morotsuka have been making for a long time. It was introduced from China a long time ago and now remains only here and there in Kyushu. Tea distributed nationwide accounts for only about 0.02%. Squid with a hint of sweetness and a little aroma. Squid tea leaves after boiling and waiting for a while, pour it in, drink it quickly and drink the third cup of tea leaves It is "kamaka" that opens up sufficiently and drifts in. It is popular in Morotsuka Village, but it is rare 🍵 in Japan Online shop "Morotsuka Store", "Donkotei storefront", etc. You can purchase it at "Morokko House". * Please 🙇 ♀️ order as soon as possible because the quantity is limited.

In the Account of the "Tonomachi Tourism Association", we will Broadcasting Information that will make you want to go to Tonomachi, so please look forward to it! Since this is my first post, I would like to tell you what kind of town Tsunomachi is, Information I would like to introduce you to us, the Tonomachi Tourism Association. 【Access to Tonomachi】 🛫 🚗 By plane By Automobile Haneda → Miyazaki about 1 hour and a half From Fukuoka about 4 hours Itami → Miyazaki about 1 hour From Kumamoto about 3 hours Fukuoka → Miyazaki about 40 minutes from Kagoshima about 2 and a half hours From Miyazaki Airports 🚋About 1 hour to Tono Station on the JR Nippo Main Line 🚗 Use the Higashi Kyushu Expressway to Tono IC for about 1 hour and 10 minutes [What kind of town is Tonomachi?] 】 ◆ First of all, I will introduce what kind of town Tonomachi is! With a total population of about 9,300 people (April 2025), the production of agricultural and livestock products is very active. Currently, we are taking on the challenge of land-based aquaculture called the Water Industry Dream Future Project, and we are also putting our efforts into revitalizing the water industry. In addition, there are many historical places such as the History Shrine "Hyuga Kuni Ichinomiya Tono Shrine", which is listed in the "Enki Shiki" Shinto Name Book, and the valuable residence "Akagi Family Residence", which was used as a Accommodation for Lords and Shogunate officials during the Edo period. In addition, on August 1 and 2 every year, the largest summer Events in Tsunomachi, the "Tsuno Shrine Summer Grand Festival" is held, and the In the town is parade with gold Mikoshi and Float from the four towns. It is a festival that attracts many tourists not only from In the town, but also from outside the town and There are prefecture. ◆Town Tree, Ginkgo, Town Flower, Osuzu Kanran, Town Bird, Mejiro [About the history of Tonomachi] ◆ Next, I would like to introduce a little history of Tonomachi. The current Tono Town was formed by the merger of Tsunomachi and Kawakita Village in 1889 (Meiji 22), and the Tokyo Farming Village was established. Thirty-one years later, in 1920 (Taisho 9)), the town system was enforced, and in 2020 (Reiwa 2)), it celebrated the 100th anniversary of the enforcement of the town system. Currently, Kawakita is used for the large letters of Tonomachi from the remnants of that time. 【Sightseeing spots in Tonomachi】 ◆Next is the Sightseeing spot of Tonomachi. There are many Famous Sightseeing spots and surprisingly unknown Sightseeing spots in Tonomachi. In this article, we will introduce two of the best of them. (1) Hyuga Kuni Ichinomiya Miyano Shrine Adored by the Town residents as "Ichinomiya Shrine", it is indispensable for talking about Miyazaki mythology. It is the Ichinomiya Miyano Shrine in Hyuga Province. Precincts have a solemn air and you can feel the power. It is said that six years before Emperor Jimmu ascended to the throne, he stopped by this place on his way to the east to pray for national peace, Ocean tranquility, and good luck Nagahisa, and enshrined the God of worship. And there are Benefits such as "Prosperity in business" because "Ooanamuchinomikoto," which is a divine virtue, gave birth to many wives and had many children with them, "peace of illness" because he established medical laws and helped many people, and "Prosperity in business" in Other. (2) Roadside Station Opened in 2013 (2013 (Heisei 25)) with the aim of revitalizing the town that was devastated by the foot-and-mouth disease of 2010 (2010 (Heisei 22)), "Roadside Station" has a variety of Fresh and delicious ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, and seafood that the "capital of agriculture" Tonomachi is proud of. In addition, Original products made with Local ingredients are also sold at this "Roadside Station", and among them, the popular NO.1 "Tomato Twist Fried" is a product that has repeat customers not only from within the In the town, but also from outside the town and prefecture! The "Roadside Station" filled with the charm of Tonomachi is worth visiting! 【Specialty products Gourmet of Tonomachi】 Next is the Specialty products and Gourmet of Tonomachi! Specialty products and gourmet foods including Many agricultural and livestock products exist in Tonomachi. This time, we will introduce three of them! (1) Tomato Tonomachi is the perfect environment for growing tomatoes! Water from the Osuzu Mountains, sea breeze from Hyuga-nada, and warm climate are exquisite. In addition, there are various types of tomatoes in Tonomachi, such as "Nigo 25," which is ordered from all over the country, and "Frutica," which boasts a honey-like sweetness, and it is good to and them! (2) Grapes More than 30 varieties of grapes are grown in Tonomachi. There are various types of There are such as Shine muscat, Sunny Roux ju, and Kyoho grapes, but in recent years it has also been called black muscat, and as the name suggests, the variety "Suzuka" that spreads a refreshing taste and flavor like muscat in the mouth is also noteworthy! (3) Tono Wine Speaking of the grapes introduced above、、、 wine! Commitment to using 100% Osuzu grapes (around Tonomachi) as raw materials, it is a wine that allows you to feel the climate of Tono. In 2004, a rosé wine made from the Campbell Early variety was selected as one of the "100 Best Wines in the World" by the Wine Report, and many other wines have won numerous awards both in Japan and abroad. Tono's wines are not limited to Japan, but there are many delicious wines that attract repeat customers from overseas! 【Tonomachi Tourism Association】 ◆ Finally, I would like to touch on the tourism association. We, the Tonomachi Tourism Association, are engaged in various activities such as promoting Tonomachi using social media and other means, and preparing and operating In the town Events. Recently, we have been renting out the Osuzu campsite on Mt. Osuzu and renting out electric cars. At Cool Japan, we will do our best to Broadcasting the charm of Tonomachi and provide Information that you can enjoy when you come for sightseeing, so Best regards!

It is a very large deciduous broad-leaved tree of the genus Azalea of the family Azaleaceae and is found on rocky cliffs in high mountains above 1000 m.
