This Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido Is a Natural Miracle Created by Nature. The Beautiful Scenery of This Popular Sightseeing Spot Fascinates All Who See It!

A Look at the Beautiful Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido This video, titled "[Superb View / Drone Film] Blue Pond Biei, Hokkaido [4K]" (【絶景/空撮】青い池 北海道美瑛町《4K》 "Blue Pond" Hokkaido), was released by "Noriyuki Ichikawa 《4K Drone Film》." When you hear the name Hokkaido, you probably think of gourmet food like miso ramen and seafood, or perhaps you know of the historical and cultural landmarks, such as Goryokaku or the Brick Warehouses in Otaru. However, if there's one thing we shouldn't forget, it's that Hokkaido is one of the most magnificent natural areas of Japan. One such place in Hokkaido, Biei, has the wonderous "Blue Pond" ("Aoi-Ike" in Japanese) that can be seen in the video. It's as popular as the lavender field in Biei, Furano (富良野). In this article, we'll introduce the Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido. Be sure to follow along with the video to see the beautiful natural landscapes of Hokkaido! The Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido Photo:The Blue Pond The "Blue Pond" is a famous tourist attraction located in Shirogane (白金), Biei, Kamikawa District (上川郡), Hokkaido. Its official name is "Shirogane Blue Pond." As the name suggests, the surface of the pond is a brilliant blue. By nature, the pond does not appear blue, but there is a reason for its color. In the vicinity of Blue Pond, there's the "Shirahige Falls" in the Shirogane Hot Springs area." Shirahige Falls has groundwater welling up from the inside of the cliffs and this water contains aluminum components. When the falls merge with Biei River (美瑛川), colloidal particles that are invisible to the naked eye are created and scatter the rays of sun evenly. The particles tend to scatter short-wavelength blue light, which makes the pond appear blue. In addition, the sulfur and lime components in the Shirogane Hot Spring water flowing from the side of the waterfall also complement the scattering of light, making the stones and rocks on the riverbed appear white. It enhances the blue color of the pond and creates a spectacular view like nothing you've seen before. The Conditions for Seeing the Beautiful Blue Pond Photo:Shirokane Aoi Pond in Biei, Hokkaido A visit to the "Shirogane Blue Pond" does not necessarily mean that you will see the Blue Pond. The keys to seeing the Blue Pond are "weather" and "time of day". It is not recommended to go on rainy days, as the water will increase and the colors become lighter and murky afterwards. That being said, you should check the weather before visiting Shirogane Blue Pond. A good time to visit is in the afternoon. 12:00 - 1:00 PM is generally the best time to visit. The angle of the sun is also an important factor. The angle of the sun will determine whether the colloid glow blue or not. Access To Biei, Hokkaido's Blue Pond Photo:Shirogane Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido Shirogane Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido is a 25-minute bus ride from Biei Station. Take the Tohoku Bus bound for Shirogane Onsen and get off at the "Shirogane Blue Pond Entrance" (白金青い池入口, Shirogane Aoi-ike Iriguchi. If you go via the JR line, it's recommended that you take the JR and drive or use the bus to get to Aoi Pond, as it's far from the nearest station. Parking lots are available for those who come by car. There are various sightseeing destinations around Blue Pond in Biei Town, Hokkaido that are popular as well; "Tokachidake Observatory," "Seidai Park," "Chiyoda no Oka Observation Deck," "Sanai no Oka Observatory Park," "Shinei no Oka Observation Park," and "Shikisai-no-oka Hill." Be sure to check these out as well if you have the chance. Summary of Shirogane Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido Photo:An illumination at Shirogane Blue Pond in Hokkaido The blue pond in Biei, Hokkaido is a mysterious pond created by nature, and the stunning sight created by the blue pond and the four seasons of Hokkaido is sure to leave a lasting impression on all who see it. The Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido is also lit up during the winter months. During this time, you can enjoy the white snow coupled with the blue water, as well as the stars that fill the night sky. It'll make for some amazing Instagram pictures as well! Autumn Leaves on Mt. Takao: Video Introduction This video, titled "Autumn Leaves and Hiking on Mt. Takao|Travel|Sightseeing in Tokyo|Michelin Guide|Autumn Leaves in Japan|4K 2021" (4K 2021紅葉の秋の高尾山 TOKYO Autumn leaves of Mt. Takao 紅葉ハイキング 高尾山観光 旅行 Michelin Guides 東京観光 日本の紅葉 紅葉の名所), was uploaded by "Discover Nippon." Mt. Takao, a 599-meter-tall mountain in Hachioji, Tokyo, in Japan's Kanto region, is a national park that has received three stars in the Michelin Guide and is a tourist attraction where visitors can enjoy hiking. Mt. Fuji can be seen from the top of the mountain, and Takao Yakuoin Temple is crowded with many visitors. [Video] 1:55 - Takao Yakuoin Temple Be sure to check out the video to see the autumn leaves of Mt. Takao Hiking and Mountain Climbing – Recreational Activities on Mt. Takao Photo:Autumn leaves on Mt. Takao, Hachioji, Tokyo Mt. Takao, located in Hachioji, Tokyo, is 599 meters above sea level. As a relatively easy-to-climb low-lying mountain, it's gaining popularity as a mountain where hikers and climbers can enjoy casual hiking and mountain climbing. There are both full-scale mountain climbing courses and hiking courses that can be completed in casual clothing, making the mountain enjoyable for adults and children alike. From the observatory at the top of the mountain, visitors can view the symbol of Japan, Mt. Fuji. Mt. Takao is also home to legends of tengu, Japanese goblins, that have been passed down for generations. Takao Yakuoin Temple, a Shingon sect temple located halfway up Mt. Takao, is said to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits. The main deity, Izuna Daigongen, a deity worshipped by Japanese warlords during the Warring States Period, is said to be accompanied by a tengu, and you can see statues of tengu in many places on Mt. Takao. [Video] 2:00 - Takao Yakuoin Temple Mt. Takao is also famous for its autumn leaves, which attract many tourists in the fall. Even though the mountain is not very tall, the temperature is lower than that of the ground, so be sure to dress warm when visiting. When to View the Autumn Leaves on Mt. Takao Photo:The cable car on Mt. Takao, Hachioji, Tokyo Mt. Takao's annual autumn leaves are at their best from mid-November to early December. The best places to view the autumn leaves on Mt. Takao are around Takao-yamaguchi Station, in front of Kiyotaki Station on the cable car, and halfway up the mountain on the cable car. In addition, a festival to celebrate the autumn leaves is held every year from early November to coincide with the autumn foliage of Mt. Takao. On holidays, various events, such as demonstrations of Tokyo Kokeshi doll-making and masu-zake (sake served in small boxes) enliven the celebration of the autumn leaves. Be sure to check event schedules in advance, as they are subject to change. Advanced Hiking Courses and Crowding Information on Mt. Takao Photo:Autumn leaves on Mt. Takao, Hachioji, Tokyo As Mt. Takao can be climbed by cable car or lift to the midpoint of the mountain, it attracts many visitors. It's said to be the most visited mountain in the world, with 3 million climbers per year. During the high season, particularly during the fall when hikers can view the autumn leaves, it's not unusual for visitors to have to wait up to an hour for the cable car. If you're planning on climbing or hiking Mt. Takao, we recommend checking the latest information regarding crowding conditions on social networking sites before visiting the mountain. If you want to see the autumn leaves in a relaxed atmosphere, we recommend arriving at the mountain early in the morning. The cable cars start running at 8:00 a.m., and there are fewer people on the mountain first thing in the morning, making this the best time to arrive. If you're a beginner, Mt. Takao can be ascended in about an hour by cable car, but there is also a course that can be enjoyed by advanced climbers. However, there is also a trail that advanced climbers can enjoy. This is the advanced course located at the branch leading to the southern trails 2 and 6. Compared to the gently paved beginners' trails, this trail is not paved and climbs along a mountain path that's too slippery for ordinary sports shoes. Therefore, trekking shoes or other mountaineering shoes are required for this trail. It's the most mountain trail-like course on Mt. Takao. Mt. Takao is truly a mountain that can be enjoyed by both beginners and advanced climbers alike, so if you're a nature lover, or just looking to enjoy some wonderful scenery, consider going for a hike up the mountain while appreciating the autumn leaves. Summary of Autumn Leaves and Sightseeing on Mt. Takao We've introduced Mt. Takao during the fall foliage season, but you can also enjoy Mt. Takao lit up in the summer. At Takao Yakuoin Temple, the statues at Niomon gate and the bronze statues of tengu are lit up with green and red lights. The nighttime scenery is completely different from that of the daytime, and will have you feeling as though you're in a scene from some mythological story. Mt. Takao, a famous place for viewing the autumn leaves, can be reached in about an hour by train from Shinjuku Station in central Tokyo. There are parking lots in the area, but expect crowds during the fall when people come to view the autumn leaves. Be sure to check information in advance before visiting the mountain as well. Mt. Takao is a great spot for climbing and hiking to view the autumn foliage. It'd be a shame to miss such beautiful scenery! 【TripAdvisor】Mt. The beautiful Monet's Pond, has colored carp (錦鯉, Nishikigoi) swimming through its transparent waters and is great for taking Instagram photos. The History of Monet's Pond In 1999, the nearby flower seedling producers weeded and some carp were brought in by locals. It's purpose was not sightseeing, so it was mere chance that such natural beauty came to be. Golden Week in 2016 even attracted 3,000 tourists per day! This can be seen from 1:10 in the video. We also recommend going in early May when the spring greenery is fresh or in the winter to see the beautiful snowscape. As the appearance will change considerably depending on the weather, we recommend avoiding rainy days and going at night. Access to Monet's pond is about 35 minutes from the Mino IC on the Tokai Hokuriku Expressway. You can also go to Gifu Prefecture through a sightseeing bus tour around Monet's pond and other surrounding areas. Sightseeing at Monet's Pond Photo:Grilled sweetfish Around Monet's Pond you'll find shops selling the famous "chimaki" (a dumpling wrapped in bamboo leaf), so be sure to give it a try if you get the chance! We also recommend trying the specialty eel or sweetfish (ayu cuisine) lunch in Seki. When visiting Monet's pond, you can visit the Gifu Prefecture Hundred Year Park, Kasuga Shrine, Asakurayama Promenade, Kifune Shrine, Kaore Valley, Takaga Valley, Seki Blacksmithing Tradition Museum, Koka Shrine, Horado Enku Memorial Hall, Roadside Station "Rusten Hola Do," and more. The Itadori Hydrangea Festival is held in early summer in Seki, so be sure to visit Flower Park Itatori when the hydrangeas are at their best. Monet's Pond is perfect for those who want to enjoy the charming scenic beauty of nature, as well as photography lovers. Iheya Island - A Tropical Travel Destination in Okinawa!
Local PR Travel Nature- 293 plays

This Introductory Video of Iheya Island, Okinawa, Shows the Incredibly Beautiful, Dreamlike Scenery of the Island This introductory video, "The Mystic 'Iheya Island'" (神秘の島「伊平屋島」) was produced by the Iheya Island Tourist Association using aerial drone footage. You'll see the incredibly beautiful scenery of the isolated Iheya Island, in Okinawa. Iheya Island is a remote island with breathtakingly clear, pristine waters and nature. It is even famous in Okinawa, one of Japan's most popular tourist resorts. In this article, you'll find recommendations for places to see and things to do around Iheya Island, Okinawa. The video shows aerial photos of the emerald green coral reefs and the natural mountains of Iheya Island in Okinawa. You'll be astonished watching the video and realizing that such beauty exists in Japan. All About Iheya Island, Okinawa Photo:Iheya Island's sandy beach and sea Iheya Island is located 117 km north of Naha on the main island of Okinawa, a part of Japan's southwestern archipelago. It is also north of the main island of Okinawa, 41.1 km from Nakijinson Kamiunten harbor, a ferry depot in the northernmost inhabited island of Okinawa. At southern end of Iheya Island, there is Izena Island. Iheya Island is a mysterious island where the original landscape of Okinawa has been preserved, and many legends and gods continue to live on. Iheya Island (Area: 20.66km2 Perimeter: 34.23km) is a long, thin island connected to Noho Island (Area: 1.06km2 Perimeter: 4.8km) by the Noho bridge and as of July, 2009, has a population of 1,405. To get to Iheya Island, you can take a bus or car from Naha Airport on the main island of Okinawa to Unten Port in Nakijin Village where the ferry dock is located. An 80-minute ride on the ferry takes you to Iheya Island. As there are only two ferry services a day, and a day trip is difficult, we recommend spending at least one night on Iheya Island. Local transportation is either rental cars, taxis, the island's community bus, or rental bicycles, as well as the ferry that takes you to Iheya Island. It's also possible to bring your own car onto the ferry as well. If the weather is good, we recommend renting a bicycle to see the island and enjoy the natural scenery. Touristic Information to Enjoy Iheya's Beautiful Emerald Green Sea Photo:Sea turtle The brilliant emerald-green sea shown in the video is so beautiful that you might feel like you're dreaming. The sea is transparent up to 50 meters and the view of a small boat casting its shadow on the seafloor is fantastic. You can see this amazing scenery from 1:12 in the video. The sea of Iheya Island is comparably beautiful to that of popular Yaeyama Island and Miyako Island. In these beautiful waters, you can enjoy coral reefs, marine life, snorkeling, diving, sea kayaking and other marine sports, as well as fishing to your heart's content. The beaches which are worth visiting on Iheya Island are ‘Kumaya beach’ for fishing, and ‘Suga-hama’ and ‘Yonesaki-kaigan’ for enjoying beautiful scenery. Because there are only two ferries a day and no large tourist facilities, there are very few tourists in Okinawa, so you can enjoy the sea to your heart's content, as it is a lesser-known beach in Okinawa. White sandy beaches with endless blue skies and seas await you. Enjoy the Sights and Sounds of Iheya Island Photo:Hiramatsu Starting at 1:31 in the video, the sights of Iheya Island, with its unspoiled nature and culture, are introduced. One of the must-see spots is “Kumaya Cave” which is said to be the southernmost place related to a legend about Amaterasu Omikami. Japan has a lot of places where the “Amano Iwato legend” allegedly took place. The natural light that floods the cave is so magical and Instagram-worthy. It's also a popular power spot not to be missed when visiting Iheya Island. At 1:46 in the video, “Nento hiramatsu” is also a popular touristic spot on Iheya Island and visitors will be overwhelmed when they see the branches of the “Ryukyu matsu” looming over them. We also recommend visiting the Iheya Lighthouse from which you can overlook the whole of Iheya Island. This can be seen in the video from 1:51. You can enjoy a spectacular view of nature with 200-meter-high mountains and blue waters. There are also plenty of other places with beautiful scenery as well. From 1:58 on the video, “Yahe Rock” is a historical place and said to be the ruins of an old castle that protected the island from the Nakijin army. The sunset seen through the rocky mountains quite the spectacle as well. If you're looking for something good to eat, be sure to try the fresh seafood dishes on Iheya Island. As it's surrounded by the sea, it has some of the freshest seafood you can get! After a day of fishing, a seaside BBQ with the fish you caught will make for an unforgettable experience. Mozuku seaweed and local sea salt from Iheya Island make for great souvenirs as well. Other Tourist Attractions at Iheya Island There are even more tourist destinations on Iheya Island that weren't shown in the video! “Kuba mountain at Tana”, “Tiger head Rock”, “Yagurabaka”, “Iheya History and Folklore Museum” and “Kami asagi” are also places we recommend visiting. Shimogo is a town where ancient Japanese culture and traditions remain and where the present meets the past. Fukushima is best visited during winter as the snowfall in the region creates beautiful landscapes. There is an event called "Mizuki-no-hana-dango" (みずきの花団子) during Little New Year. From 2:07 in the video, you can see mountain cherries in Toaka, and at 3:51the Nakayama Snow, Moon, and Fire Festival, where igloos and lights decorate a snowy Aizu. There are many popular sightseeing spots in Shimogo, Fukushima, including a snowshoe experience which is filled with the wisdom of Fukushima's ancestors who have lived through the harsh winters. The Food Culture of Shimogo, Fukushima Photo:Minamiaizu's local cuisine, Shingoro The Aga River, a quiet, clear stream flowing through Shimogo, is an important river that nurtures abundant life and is necessary for preserving the local culinary culture of Aizu. Upstream, there are many hot spring hotels and inns where you can enjoy a steamy atmosphere. You can relax at hot springs such as Yunokami Onsen after a long day of sightseeing. Fukushima is also famous for rice production. Shingoro is a local delicacy of Shimogo. Popular Tourist Experiences in Itoman City Photo:Underwater In the opening scene of this video we're introduced to Ryukyu Glass Village's (琉球ガラス村, Ryuukyuu garasu mura) glass blowing experience. You can see this at 0:15 in the video. Ryukyu glassware is famous for it's characteristic air bubbles and thick, beautifully colored glass. Glass-blowing is a traditional Japanese craft by which you can create truly one of a kind glassware. At Ryukyu Glass Village you can also watch the craftsmen at work or purchase a variety of colorful glassware from the shop. Next, we'd like to introduce the glass boat tours. You can see these at 0:52 in the video. The glass boats have a glass floor which allows you to take a peek down at the sea floor below. You can enjoy looking at the beautiful Okinawan coral and tropical fish up close without the need to take part in a snorkeling or diving course. The next sightseeing experience we'd like to introduce is Hariko making. Hariko are traditional paper-mache dolls that you can decorate however you like. You can see them being made at 01:09 in the video. Have fun watching your cute, hand-painted Ucchiribukusa (traditional Okinawa doll) stand back up after knocking it over time and time again. The Shisa (lion dog) hariko is very typical of Okinawa. Okinawan traditional fishing boat/Sabani sail boat experiences are also very popular. Sabini are fishing boats used in the Tempuku Bare competition which is part of the biggest event held in Itoman city, the Itoman Hare. Tempuku Bare is a competition where as a team you attempt to flip over your overturned Sabani boat and row it to the finish line. It is used as a test of the village fishermens' boat skills, but don't worry, as a tourist you won't have to flip over any Sabani boats during your experience! Rowing your own Sabani with the cool wind brushing against your face is an exhilarating experience! You can see this at 2:15 in the video. Experience Making the Local Delicacies of Itoman Source :YouTube screenshot Taking part in the regional Japanese cuisine experience is sure to be one of the best memories of your trip to Okinawa. The area with highest consumption of tofu in Japan is thought to be Okinawa and there are many tofu shops in Itoman. You can see some of these shops being introduced at 1:43 in the video. If you take part in the Okinawa-style tofu (島豆腐, Shimadoufu) experience you will have the chance to make tofu the traditional way by grinding soy beans using a stone mortar. The taste of freshly made Okinawan tofu will bring a smile to your face! Summary of Itoman, Okinawa Itoman city is famous as a sightseeing destination in Japan. I'm sure after watching this video you'll be eager to try some of the experiences and food that Itoman city, Okinawa has to offer! If you're headed to Itoman, be sure to use this video as a guide! -
