Please take a look here if you like.
Kumano Hongu Taisha, known as a World Heritage Site in Wakayama Prefecture, is a shrine that constitutes the "Kumano Three Mountains" along with Kumano Nachi Taisha and Kumano Hayatama Taisha. Yuto Shinto Shrine, which is the largest Annual Grand Festival, is a designated intangible folk cultural property of Wakayama Prefecture.
At the Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, the Funama Grand Festival and the Eve Festival are held on April 14, and the most important festivals, the Main Shrine Festival, the Main Shrine Festival, and the glittering Watari Festival of 400 people dressed in Heian costumes are solemnly held on April 5.
One of the highlights is the Mita Festival (Mita Ue Shrine), where juveniles pray for a bountiful harvest of five grains, the Goma bonfire and mochi throwing by ascetics, the lantern Daigoma and the Tamagushi Hoten.
In Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, where Kumano Hongu Taisha is located, there are many lodging facilities for hotels and inns.
It is also recommended to have lunch at a local gourmet restaurant in the area on an overnight trip, or if the weather is nice, visit the surrounding temples with a shuin stamp book in hand.
