This is the Iwata Tourism Association. Nice to meet you all!! Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a city in the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture, located about halfway between Tokyo and Osaka. Minami Izu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a town located at the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula and is a treasure trove of nature where lush mountains and crystal clear waters coexist. In the future, COOL JAPAN VIDEOS will introduce all the charms of Minami Izu Town, a small town with a population of about 8,000. Please look forward to it! First of all, in this first post, I will briefly introduce recommended spots and tourist information in Minami Izu Town, but I would like to introduce as much as possible. ■■■Introducing sightseeing spots in Minami Izu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture■■■ There are many spots in Minami Izu Town where you can enjoy the beauty of nature! I'm sure you'll find your favorite spots. ◇Ishirouzaki Ocean Park Ishirouzaki Ocean Park opened in 2019 on a 100-meter-high cliff as a facility where you can enjoy Ishirozaki comfortably. There is a parking lot and a rest building, and you can enjoy explanations and tours of the geosite at the Minami-Izu Visitor Center in the facility. Ishirouzaki is also popular as a power spot for marriages. ◇Yumigahama Beach This 1.2-kilometre-long stretch of pure white sand is shallow, gentle and popular in summer. It is also popular as a photo spot because you can see the beautiful sunset (sunset) over the ocean. ◇Roadside station Shimogamo Onsen Yunohana It is a Roadside Station at the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula and is lined with fresh local vegetables and specialties. Souvenirs and local gourmet food can be enjoyed, so be sure to stop by when you visit Minami Izu Town. There is a foot bath using Shimogamo Hot Spring in the facility, so you can heal the fatigue of your trip. ◇Namikatsuzaki Monkey Bay You can observe up close about 300 monkeys coming to feed at the wild Monkey Park in Namikatsuzaki. It is one of the largest Monkey Parks in eastern Japan. ◇Hirizo beach It is a hidden beach that can only be reached by boat on the border of Ishirouzaki and Nakagi, and boasts outstanding transparency.
