Here are some recommended experiences.

Tokachi-Honbetsu Town has a large temperature difference between day and night and long hours of sunshine, making it ideal for growing high-quality beans.

Why not try your hand at making tofu, an essential healthy food on Japanese tables, in Japan's leading bean-producing town?

On this tour, you will join local farmers' wives in making tofu using traditional methods, and then make a salad using okara, the pulp left over from tofu production, ensuring that every part of the soybean is utilised.

Tofu is a healthy food that also promotes beautiful skin.

Through agricultural experiences, we want people to interact with producers they would not normally meet, learn about the thoughts behind the ingredients, and taste the flavours of the local cuisine. We also hope that these experiences will lead to new discoveries and values, enabling people to enjoy a healthier and richer diet.

Here are some recommended experiences. In Urahoro Town, where forestry is thriving, charcoal burning has been practised for about 100 years. At one of the few remaining charcoal kilns in Japan, you can hear stories about charcoal from the producers and experience traditional Japanese techniques and culture. On this tour, you will visit shrines where you can experience Japanese history and culture, learn how to worship directly from the priest, and after worshipping, draw omikuji fortune slips and experience the Japanese hospitality of tea ceremony. Additionally, you will experience mochi-tsuki (mochi pounding), a traditional Japanese ritual where mochi is pounded as an offering to the gods. You will make and eat anko mochi (mochi with red bean paste) and ozoni (mochi soup) yourself. Mochi-tsuki is a traditional Japanese ritual where gratitude is offered to the gods and their power is shared. As it is a collaborative activity performed by multiple people, it also serves as an opportunity to deepen bonds with family and community members. In the afternoon, we will experience charcoal burning. In Japan, charcoal has been produced since ancient times using traditional techniques to carbonise wood. Cooking with charcoal brings out the sweetness of ingredients and makes them taste delicious. It also has various other effects, such as purifying water by adsorbing impurities and deodorising by adsorbing and removing substances that cause unpleasant odours. On this tour, you will experience the deliciousness of ingredients cooked on a charcoal barbecue. We want people to interact with producers they don't normally meet, learn about their various thoughts, and experience the culture and food of the region. We hope that through these experiences, people will gain new discoveries and values, and lead healthier and richer lives.
