【Hongshan Bridge】Nationally Designated Important Cultural Property Nijibashi Bridge is located between Bungo-Ono City Mie and Usuki in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu. Nijizawa means "rainbow crossing the river", and as the name suggests, it is a large and beautiful arched stone bridge that crosses the valley river. In the late Edo period, it was built on a road that went back and forth between the towns of Mie and the castle of Usuki. It is a huge tree that has existed for hundreds of years. There are a huge yew oak tree at the back of the forest road leading to Ontake in Kiyokawa Towns, Bungo-Ono City. The total height is 12 m, and the trunk circumference is 10 m. There is a cavity in the center of the trunk, and a Shrine is enshrined inside.
