Lake shikotsu ice festival is a very popular tourist attraction. During February every year this festival being held. Unfortunately this due unexpected warm weather the festival time waste shorten until 13th February instead of 29th February. I am lucky to witness this year's festival. The icicles were illuminated during this festival. The view is really good.

Winter Traditions Tokachi Ranch Horse Chase Movement It is done to eliminate lack of exercise in winter and to prevent difficult births of pregnant horses. You can see the horses up close, so it's impressive! It is open to the public only on weekday mornings. *2024 ended on February 16.
