Suwa Karin‑no‑Ki — a bakery committed to Hokkaido wheat and additive‑free dough On this day I, food‑lover Kasai, visited Suwa Karin‑no‑Ki. The owner opened the shop in May 2012 with a strong desire to bake bread that parents can feel safe giving to children and babies. The dough uses wheat from Hokkaido and contains no preservatives, artificial colors, or additives. ・Eggs ⇒ Eggs from chickens raised at the foot of Mount Yatsugatake ・Milk ⇒ Milk from Jersey cows raised on the Nobeyama Plateau ・Sausage and bacon ⇒ Additive‑free, showcasing the natural taste of the meat ・Wheat ⇒ Carefully selected Hokkaido wheat (e.g., Haruyutaka) About 25 types of bread (including seasonal items) are usually on display; when I visited around 2:00 p.m., many items were already sold out. The owner recommends enjoying the bakery's most popular bâtard with a dip of olive oil. I tried a rare matcha‑flavored melon pan and a rusk made from melon pan. The large, American‑style oat cookies were sold out that day, but they are excellent when available. Find your favorite bread and enjoy it! ◎ Bread Workshop Suwa Karin‑no‑Ki 📍 Suwa City Ote 2‑1‑2 ☎ 0266‑55‑4343 ◎ Hours: 10:00 – 19:00 ◎ Closed: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday ◎ Parking: Nawate Parking Lot (parking voucher available for customers who purchase) ◎ Payment: Cash, PayPay ◎ Website: https://treeofkarin.weblike.jp//

#002 Tsunocho has about 50 restaurants and confectionery shops. This is the first installment of our gourmet series: a long‑standing yakiniku and Chinese restaurant with 45 years of history. ~ Founded in 1980: a Chinese restaurant beloved by the townspeople ~ Seikouen This place exudes a classic, established feel and is the town’s only combined yakiniku and Chinese restaurant, now celebrating 45 years. The restaurant was already well known in Tsunocho, but after being featured on a Miyazaki TV program in 2024 it gained popularity from outside the town, and these days it’s often fully booked. The must‑try dish at Seikouen is Taiwan ramen!! You might wonder, “Taiwan ramen?” but it’s truly delicious. It’s loaded with garlic chives that make it even better. You can choose the spice level, but if you’re sensitive to heat, this ramen is still recommended. Set A comes with a small bowl of rice and three gyoza, while Set B includes mini fried rice and three gyoza. They also offer many Chinese dishes such as Tenshin‑han and mapo don. The yakiniku is, of course, excellent too. If you’re curious about the flavors or visiting Tsunocho, be sure to stop by. Hours 11:00–13:15 17:00–19:15 Closed Tuesdays (occasional irregular holidays) Parking About 10 spaces Phone 0983-25-1746 Instagram @seikouen_1980

✨🍴Hiroshima Prefecture — New Restaurant News🍴✨ In spring 2025, a new cozy kominka café opened in Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture 😍 Its name is “Tsuchinoko-tei.” Owner Yuki Watanabe, together with her husband and local friends, spent a year renovating the old house, and it has finally opened. Built in Taisho 5 (1916), the 110-year-old kominka blends seamlessly into Shobara’s landscape. The recommended dish is Tsuchinoko-tei’s homemade ramen (750 yen à la carte / 900 yen with coffee). The soy-sauce–based broth offers a comforting richness that appeals to all ages. The handmade chashu is light and easy to eat. The husband, Ippei, is in charge of the cooking; his experience working in restaurants inspired this homemade ramen. Also popular is the daily set meal, limited to 10 servings per day (1,000 yen / +200 yen with coffee). Going forward, they plan to use locally grown Shobara green onions and eggs and vegetables from their home garden. They are also planning to add a bath and sauna on the property, plus accommodations, a BBQ area, and karaoke space — so stay tuned for future developments! 😍✨ For more details about Tsuchinoko-tei, please visit the Shobara Tourist Navi website, the official tourism site for Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture ✅

The other day, I really wanted to eat Jiro ramen, so I visited the Jiro-inspired restaurant "Pig Gang Hachioji Store" that opened last year in Hachioji for the first time. Access is from JR Hachioji Station, take Hachioji Station U-Road Nishi-Radiation Street toward Takao (west), turn left at the diagonal intersection where the radiation is interrupted and there is a daizushi, and head towards the direction where the movie theater called New Hachioji Cinema used to be. So, when you hit the Yokamachi Minami intersection of National Route 16, you can see the hormone yakiniku Tenryu in front of you, so if you go straight through that intersection for about 50 meters, you will see a store with a yellow exterior. Address is here: 6-11 Minamimachi, Hachioji City, Tokyo Since it was my first time, I chose the basic pig gang ramen. I bought a ticket for raw egg and garlic quail with toppings. The amount of noodles is 200g, and the noodles are usually hard, so the hardness of the noodles is left as it is. At the ticket vending machine, I saw an attractive killer word such as "TKG", so I bought it without hesitation. This was the right answer. I asked for all the calls to be normal. In about 5 minutes, the "back fat TKG" arrives first. It's the first time I've had a collaboration between back fat and egg rice, but I love TKG and back fat, so I was able to predict the taste. The egg yolk neutralizes the sweetness of the back fat and the dark soy sauce flavor, and as expected, it is the best match! Squid even if there is a specialty store for this! After a while, the pork gang ramen also arrived. The soup is a Jiro ramen from Fukuoka in Kyushu, so it looks more like a pork bone soy sauce type of Fukuoka tonkotsu ramen than a typical Jiro-inspired soy sauce-based soup. The noodles are also very satisfying. As you can see, the soup was like a creamy pork bone soy sauce, and I didn't get tired of it in the middle and it was delicious until the end. Next time, I'll have to call out, "With back fat!" https://hachi-navi.com/gourmet/ramen/128442...

'Chinese Eatery Miura Shoten' Last week they announced that their signature soy sauce ramen🍜 had been renewed, so I went to try it right away! At Miura Shoten you can customize your ramen. This time I customized it as follows… ① Noodle firmness—firm ② Green onions—extra ③ Back fat—normal ④ Special ichimi chili—normal And I ordered a large serving It looked jet black. A pitch-black soy sauce ramen🍜 The owner told me they blend in tamari soy sauce✨ First, the soup. Contrary to its appearance, it had a deep richness and the soy sauce flavor filled my mouth. Next, the straight medium-thick noodles clung to the soup, and I couldn’t stop eating them. The extra green onions cut through the rich mouthfeel with their aroma rising through the nose and the soup, leaving a refreshing finish. With plenty of vegetables and the satisfying weight of the medium-thick noodles, it was very delicious🍜 A new specialty of Shintoku Town! Pitch-black in appearance, richly flavored in the old style Pitch-black soy sauce ramen 'Shintoku Black' Please give it a try🍜 #Hokkaido #Hokkaido gourmet #Hokkaido sightseeing #Hokkaido is huge #Hokkai-do #Tokachi #Tokachi #Tokachi sightseeing #Tokachi gourmet #Shintoku Town #Shintoku #ramen #jet black #Shintoku Black #hokkaido #hokkaido_lovers #hokkaido_love #ilovehokkaido #hokkaidotrip #hokkaidolikers #hokkaidolove #hokkaidosgram #hokkaidofood #hokkaidotravel #tokachi #shintoku

Ramen lovers are Chinabi staff. The other day, I went to "Kagoshima Tonkotsu Ramen Nanshu", which I hadn't visited yet! According to the Information of Tabelog, it seems that it just opened last year in December 2024. The location was There is a along the Koshu-kaido near the Hachioji City Central Library, about a 5-minute walk from Nishi Hachioji Station toward Takao Station. It is about a 1-minute walk from the intersection where Bookoff and Glasses Store are located, along the Megane Store side toward Takao. It may be the first time for the Kagoshima ramen genre. It looks like tonkotsu ramen topped with bean sprouts. When I sipped the soup, I felt that it was light at first, but as I ate it with straight thin noodles, I could feel the pork bone feeling! The flavor of char siu and noodles was firmly attached, and the bean sprouts refreshed my mouth, so I enjoyed it until the end! I would like to revisit it again.
