Every year from mid-October to December, a large flock of more than 10,000 cranes, including endangered cranes and crowned cranes, migrate to Izumi City and overwinter until around March. In 2021, it was certified as a Ramsar Convention registered wetland as a "wintering ground for Izumi vines," and the following year, it became the first Japan Ramsar Convention municipality to be certified. Another popular Sightseeing spot is the Samurai residences at the foot of Izumi, where the Samurai residences of the Edo period remain as they were 400 years ago. We will send out Kagoshima Prefecture Izumi City recommended Tourist Information that will be engraved on one page of everyone's memories, so please follow us!
