In Showa 59 (Showa 59) (1984), it opened as "Hall of Fame of stucco trowel painting, Izu no Chohachi Museum of Art". About 50 works by Chohachi Irie (Chohachi Irie), a native of Matsuzaki who made a name for himself as a master plasterer in the Edo period, are on display. Chohachi has developed his own discipline of stucco trowel, which incorporates plastering techniques and the techniques of the Kano school of Japanese painting, and is highly regarded artistically. The building is a museum that brings together talented plasterers from all over the country and makes use of traditional plastering techniques, and has been awarded the Yoshida 58 Prize, which is said to be the Akutagawa Prize of the Architectural Society, as a "building that fuses Edo and the 21st century," and is attracting attention as a world-class building.

[Hakone Ekiden Museum] The outgoing championship commemorative trophy made of Hakone parquet is on display! The Hakone Ekiden Museum is exhibiting the Tokyo Hakone University Ekiden Race Outbound Trophy on display in the museum's special exhibition space until March 31, 2024 (Sunday), with the cooperation of the outgoing champion school from the 73rd edition of the Hakone Ekiden Race in 1997. At the Hakone Ekiden, which celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, there was a lot of cheering from the roadside on both the outward and return journeys, and the players were impressed by the scene where they ran hard to win the championship. I went to the "Mucha Exhibition" held at the "Dream Museum", which is a 15-minute walk from Hachioji Station. I visit the Dream Museum several times a year, but the Mucha exhibition had more male visitors than other exhibitions. I wonder if there are many men who want to do beauty paintings. I have seen the Mucha exhibition at other museums before, and although the scale is small, there are many famous works, and not only paintings but also those printed on the packages of sweets of the time were exhibited, and the content was substantial. I was also happy that it was possible to take pictures inside the museum. There are plenty of goods, and I bought a lot of them. This Hachioji Dream Museum can be viewed for free for junior high school students and younger. In addition, the annual passport is quite reasonable at 1400 yen. Hachioji is not only rich in nature, but you can also enjoy shopping and experience various cultures. Why don't you study Japanese in Hachioji?

COOL JAPAN VIDEOS Photo Contest PR
Nov. 28, 2022
Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce LuLu's post "Kanagawa Prefecture / Hakone Open-Air Museum, "Symphony Sculpture Calling Happiness" surrounded by 360-degree stained glass". The space surrounded by vivid stained glass is a fantastic photo. The Hakone Open-Air Museum, located in Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture, is an art museum centered on open-air art museums that opened in 1969 (Showa 44). 120 artworks are exhibited outdoors on the site of about 70,000 square meters, and you can enjoy art while strolling. There is also a restaurant and café in the building. At "The Hakone Open-Air Museum Café", you can spend a comfortable time while looking at nature in a space unique to an open-air museum. In one corner of the store, original goods of the Open-Air Museum that can only be obtained here are also sold. There are also goods limited to the café, so how about a souvenir? The buffet-style restaurant "Bella Foresta" offers all-you-can-eat seasonal menus. We also recommend nearby lunch spots, which can be reached within 5 minutes. Tickets for the Hakone Open-Air Museum can be purchased through the "Official Electronic Ticket Asoview!" or "Convenience Store Advance Ticket". You can also get a "special Internet discount" from the official website. There is also a plan accommodation with an admission ticket to the Open-Air Museum. Please check various travel websites for reservation information. The time required to visit the Open-Air Museum is about 2~3 hours, but if you are traveling with children or enjoying lunch slowly, it is a good idea to set aside a little longer time of 3~4 hours. ◆Access ◆ It is convenient to use the high-speed route bus "Odakyu Highway Bus" connecting Busta Shinjuku to Hakone. 【Train】 Odawara Station→ Hakone-Yumoto Station→ get off at Hakone Tozan Railway "Engraving Forest" Station, and walk 2 minutes 【Car】 ■From Tokyo Turn left →at Miyanoshita intersection → Odawara Atsugi Road → Odawara Atsugi IC National Route 1→ turn right towards Gora→ Prefectural Route 723, about 500m

"Mushroom Exhibition" being held at Gallery ARTS RUSH in Daikanyama. Pulp Art Mushroom Lamp is exhibiting. This time, the DM was made a lamp 🍄✨ of Kinugasatake She is the queen of mushrooms that I have longed to make someday. Casa, dress, egg, part of the pattern. We carefully produced each part while thinking about how to make the pulp so that it has a texture. When I was strolling around the back of the atelier to take pictures, there was a crowd of mushrooms! The crowd was Bulbophyllum. When I saw it again the next day, they were all gone, but the impact was amazing, so I immediately tried to make it through trial and error. The mushroom exhibition will be until tomorrow, but you can enjoy the unique works of the artists. If you are in the vicinity, please feel free to take a look ♪. That is one beautiful looking chandelier. I can imagine it cost quite a bit of money. Incidentally I'd never seen the kanji for Yebisu before, nor had I heard of Yebisu Garden Place. Looks like a really awesome place to go for dinner or lunch as it has some nice restaurants and cafes (both high-class and reasonably priced which is nice). Probably be nice to go for a date actually. Do some shopping and then stop by for dinner or even just go for lunch and then walk around the area and see everything there is. I guess there's an art museum and a theatre as well, so yeah this place is like a 10/10 for going on dates probably lol. I'd like to check out the beer museum personally; sounds pretty interesting and you can get samples too if you pay a small fee it looks like
