The hatched dragonfly seen in the marshland of Naomi, Kozagawa Town, Wakayama Prefecture, is only 2 cm long and about the size of a one-yen coin. It is designated as a natural monument of Kozagawa Town. The dragonfly in the photo is a male dressed in morning dew.

Night cherry blossom illumination is now on near Iwanai Shrine Street and Kunsuien! This is a new event starting this year🌸 Also, today, April 29, a tour of Kunsuien will be held. Kunsuien is one of the villas owned by wealthy merchant Ichitaro Umezawa, who served as Iwanai’s first mayor. It features a single-story wooden house built around 1920 (Taisho 9) and a Japanese garden developed between 1897 (Meiji 30) and around 1913 (Taisho 2). Full restoration began in fiscal 2021 (Reiwa 3), and the work is finally complete this year! A pre-opening runs from April 30, 9:00–17:00. This photo was taken when I participated in the 50th Osaka Prefecture Challenge Mountaineering Tournament held on Sunday, April 14. Luckily, it was a sunny day, and it was a cherry blossom view that I encountered when I passed through the Mizukoshi Pass from Mt. Yamato Katsuragi to Mt. Kongo. After all, I pressed the shutter while thinking that the blue sky would look good on the cherry blossoms, and I personally think it is one of the convincing photos.
