When I lived in Kyoto, I often visited for sightseeing. It is a famous Arashiyama. The bridge in the photo is called "Togetsukyo Bridge", and it seems that the origin of the bridge's name is that the old emperor saw the moon moving on the bridge and commented, "It is similar to the crossing of the moon without a bear." The autumn leaves of Arashiyama are very famous, so in autumn it is crowded with more people than usual. I also ate salt-grilled ayu here, and the freshly grilled ayu while looking at the autumn leaves spreading in the distance and the river flowing in front of me was the best.

When I was in college, I lived in Kyoto, and on my days off, I often visited famous temples and shrines. It's a pity that I forgot exactly where I took this pond, but I couldn't help but press the shutter because I thought it was beautiful to see the leaves that fell due to autumn leaves floating in the pond and spreading out like a carpet. In spring, I thought that the peach-colored carpet must be spreading. Once again, it was a moment when I felt that the four seasons in Japan are wonderful.

大井神社

On both sides of the approach to the shrine with a view of the worship hall, there is a pair of stone top dogs, which always protect the gods. This powerful and dignified komainu was dedicated in 1938 by a then-famous Japanese confectionery shop called "Oki Kyodo" in Hondori 5-chome, Shimada, the year after the start of the Sino-Japanese War (China Incident), and was carved by Shimada stonemason Masuno-chohei. The right pedestal is carved with the words "Takeyu" and the left pedestal is carved with "Nagahisa", and it seems that it is a top dog dedicated to pray for Japan's victory and peace, and the safety of those who went to war.

There is "TAKAO 599 MUSEUM" on the road from Mt. Takao Station to the cable car platform. In this facility, you can see specimens of insects and creatures that live in the Mt. Takao. In addition, projection mapping is used once an hour to introduce the goodness of Mt. Takao. There is also a café where you can ☕ drink delicious coffee while looking at natureOur students and I have seen specimens, but the Sri Lankan students were very impressed ? that they had never had a chance to see it before Mt. Takao There are many rare creatures living there. I think it is a very good experience for students to study in such a place rich in nature.

Nishiokoppe, Hokkaido

【Three waterfalls in the Nishiokoppe Village】 The other day, it is also a tourist attraction in Nishiokoppe Village. I went to "Gyoja Falls", "Akaiwa Falls", and "Kuroiwa Falls". This time, I would like to post about "Gyoja Falls"! Take Route 239 onto the mountain road As you go along, the first thing you will encounter is Gyoja Falls. When you get out of the car in front of a stone slab with some kind of explanation, I could hear the cool sound of the waterfall! One day in August, I couldn't stand the intense heat. There were adults who were struck by the waterfall in T-shirts and shorts, or not. Next time, I will introduce Akaiwa Falls.
