Tokachigawa Onsen in the morning Hello! It’s March and getting a little warmer, but mornings here in Otofuke are still quite cold. The temperature at 5:00 a.m. on the day of the shoot was -12.1°C. Lake shikotsu ice festival is a very popular tourist attraction. During February every year this festival being held. Unfortunately this due unexpected warm weather the festival time waste shorten until 13th February instead of 29th February. I am lucky to witness this year's festival. The icicles were illuminated during this festival. The view is really good.

Otaru snow lantern path festivals is a very famous winter tourist spot in hokkaido. Many many local people worked volunteerily to maintain the beauty of the pathway. The canal also illuminated during the festival. Its one of my memorable trip to hokkaido.

Want to try gold panning in Taiki Town? Gold panning, recently talked about because of the hit movie Golden Kamuy, can still be experienced the old-fashioned way on the Rekifune River in Taiki Town! The peak period for gold recovery on the Rekifune River is said to have been from the 1890s into the Taisho era, roughly the same time when the bullion battles in Golden Kamuy take place.
