Today in Shintoku, the low temperature is -5°C, but I found something heartwarming at Shintoku Station.✨ They sell "Children's Tickets"—sweets tickets purchased to give to kids.👦👧 Children up to high school age can receive them, and they can use the tickets for a drink🧋 or sweets🍭 at the station shop, Shintoku Stella Station, located inside Shintoku Station. It warms the heart😊 This initiative aims to make children smile😄. Travelers and people visiting Shintoku for work who support this effort can buy tickets at Shintoku Station Stella Station, so please consider purchasing one.

Hello! 🙋‍♀️ This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. Starting today, we have added four mountain bikes 🚵 to the Shin-Kuru rental bicycles 🚲 in front of Shintoku Station. These mountain bikes will make it easier and more comfortable to ride to destinations with unpaved paths, such as Poppo no Michi and Mt. Masuda, which were a bit difficult to access with the city bikes. Like the city bikes, they are available free of charge 🈚️, so please feel free to use them! 🙋‍♀️

Hello!🙋‍♀️ This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. Today, the luxurious train touring Hokkaido for three nights and four days, “The Royal Express”🚆✨, stopped at Shintoku Station, so the tourism association greeted passengers with a banner and flags.✋ Because such an ultra-luxurious train stopped here, the stationmaster of Shintoku also welcomed guests in full dress🎩. The weather was fine☀️, and we greeted and saw off the guests, hoping the scenery of Shintoku Town—the gateway to Tokachi—would leave a lasting impression.👍

Hello!🙋‍♀️ This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. Today we visited Kitahiro Farm, located along National Route 38 that runs through Shintoku Town. Kitahiro Farm cares for about 550 dairy cows and F1 cattle, and we dropped by after hearing they wanted to offer a guided farm tour for visitors.👋 Mr. Kimura, who led the tour, showed us the milking area and the barns, and we even had the chance to bottle-feed a newborn calf.👀⤴️ Getting up close to animals you don’t usually see so near was a refreshing, out-of-the-ordinary experience✨ that had our staff buzzing with excitement‼️ The pet sheep and goats were adorable, too!🥰

⛰️ We carried out the annual red-lime marking on Mt. Tomuraushi. 🏔️ As part of the yearly effort to prevent hikers from getting lost, the Tomuraushi red-lime marking was conducted jointly by three organizations—the Hokkaido Police, the Shintoku Mountaineering Association, and Shintoku Town—with a total of 16 participants! We applied red lime powder at three locations, including the trailhead leading from the Kamuisankennai River up to Kamui Tenjo and the junction with Komadori-sawa. These are spots where hikers easily lose their way, so please be especially careful in these areas. Also! We found bear tracks during the activity! 🐾 If you are planning to climb, please take adequate precautions against bears so you can enjoy a safe hike. On your way back, please stop by Tomuraushi Onsen Higashi Daisetsu-so (東大雪荘)! ♨️ Thank you to everyone involved for your cooperation!

Hello! 🙋‍♀️ This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. Hello! This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. Today, on the way back from Tomuraushi Onsen Taisetsuso ♨️, I made a short detour to the Bōgakudai Observation Deck because the weather was so nice. 🚗💨 From the deck, the blue sky stretched out and I enjoyed an unobstructed view of the majestic Mt. Tomuraushi 🏔 with patches of remaining snow. ✨ The summer mountain climbing season is approaching. We sincerely hope that everyone who climbs this year can enjoy it safely. 👍

Hello!🙋‍♀️ This is Shintoku Tourism Association. The weather is lovely today.☀️ As Shintoku Town warms, fresh young greens🌱🌿🌲 are spreading across the mountains🏔️⛰️. Along National Route 38’s garden road, the old Karikachi Line railway trace known as the “Poppo no Michi” is sprouting bright new greenery, making it a perfect season for walking🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️ and cycling🚴🚴‍♂️🚵‍♀️. About 10 km to Karikachi Plateau, the mostly flat route that gently climbs passes attractions near Poppo no Michi such as Village 432, Shintoku Soba Hall, Be Wild, Yorkshire Farm, Ramen Rocky, Nomura Curry, and various cafes☕️🍰🍮. You’ll also find Soba Road, horseback riding experiences, a sheep farm, and the Osazagawa Bridge nearby, so there’s plenty to see and enjoy.✨ On your next day off, why not take a deep breath for both heart💓 and body💆‍♀️💆‍♂️ on Poppo no Michi? But don’t forget to bring a bear bell🧸🐻❗️

Hello! 🙋‍♀️ This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. Hello! 🙋‍♀️ This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. Starting today and continuing through late October, fresh vegetables 🥦🥬 will be sold at Sōma Store in front of Shintoku Station. Hokkaido will begin shipping a variety of vegetables now, so we’re excited to see which peppers, root vegetables, and more will appear on the stalls! 💓 Wild mountain vegetables are also offered in summer, so be sure to check them out 👀👀. Also, from June 7, growers will sell seasonal vegetables 🌽, fruits like grapes and watermelon 🍇🍉, and homemade processed goods next to Wakafuji Bakery 🥐🥯🍞, so you can enjoy shopping and chatting with producers about the town and its produce—sounds fun! 😄 Wakafuji’s bread is delicious too! ✨

Hello! 🙋‍♀️ This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. The past few days have been pleasantly warm and easy to enjoy. ☺️ Drawn out by the fine weather, I took a casual drive to Takketsu Kinokotan near the tourism association. 🚗💨 The wood that staff had been diligently inoculating with spores since last year has, surprisingly 👀, already produced shiitake mushrooms! ❗️ The greenhouse isn’t finished yet and the logs are still left out in the alley… Nature’s power is truly amazing. ✨✨✨ By summer the greenhouse will be ready and the shiitake will move in. 🚛 I’m looking forward to the autumn opening—one more thing to be excited about. 💓✨

Hello! 🙋‍♀️ This is Shintoku Tourism Association. Today we promoted Shintoku Town aboard a special train organized by JTB, the “Japan no Shun” service. 🚃🎤 About 160 guests from across Hokkaido as well as Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka joined the four-day tour, which focuses on spring blooms in eastern Hokkaido. 🌼🌺🌷✨ On board, during the 30 minutes between Shinyubari and Shimukappu, we introduced dairy farming, soba noodles, local activities, and connections to the railway, and livened things up with cheese tasting 🧀 and a raffle awarding Shintoku soba. 🎊 Although the tour did not include a stop in Shintoku Town for sightseeing this time, we did our best to promote the town so that visitors will stop by on their next trip to eastern Hokkaido or choose Shintoku products through mail order or hometown tax donations. 💪🔥 #Hokkaido #Tokachi #Shintoku Town #Shintoku Tourism Association #Shintoku Station #JR special train #JTB #Train travel #Kyodogakusha #Shintoku soba #Furusato tax donation #Japan no Shun #Flower tour

Hello!🙋‍♀️ This is the Shintoku Tourism Association. This morning🌄 the General Incorporated Association Shintoku Tourism Association held a safety prayer ceremony at Shintoku Shrine ⛩, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom🌸. The mayor of Shintoku, the chair of the town council, the head of the Chamber of Commerce, and 15 directors of the Tourism Association attended, and we prayed👏 that visitors to Shintoku Town will create safe and happy memories. On the shrine grounds, the “Shintoku Shrine Yamazakura Festival” was taking place, opening with a performance by the Shintoku Junior High School brass band and featuring a local Shintoku Ondo dance. In addition to festival staples like Shintoku soba, okonomiyaki🥚, French fries🍟, cotton candy, and crepes🍌, there was also a yakiniku🔥 set so you can enjoy a barbecue under the cherry trees even if you come empty-handed. The rain that fell all morning cleared up and the festival is thriving.
