A new spot for climbing Mt. Morotsuka: the ruins of Higashi-no-Kamimae Once a gathering place for ascetic practitioners, this site was known as Utsugi Plain. Members of the Morotsuka Village local history research group, Shidankai, investigated the area and installed a sign last year. The 10th Nobeoka Flower Story 2025 Konohana Walk was held on Saturday and Sunday, February 22–23, 2025, on the riverside of the Gokase River! Although a nationwide cold snap delayed the cherry blossoms, the event was lively with Nobeoka’s proud local food, stage performances, outdoor tea ceremonies, rickshaws, workshops, hands-on booths run by the Self-Defense Forces and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and kids’ events.
