Ahhh I love watching these kinds of videos. Getting to see food truck/food stall vendors make food is just so organic. It's nice since I'm not able to travel much these days as well not that anybody is really. I've never had gohei mochi, let alone heard of it before, but it reminds me of Akita's Kiritanpo. I think the last food truck item I got was ツブ, snail I guess? I didn't even know that until now lol. My girlfriend loved it, I was a bigger fan of the bacon that went with it. Really hoping I can visit another food stall again soon though as I really miss the yakisoba that they make. The yakisoba from the convenience store is alright, but it doesn't really hold a candle to the food stalls 😂. Just gonna have to keep waiting until it's okay to travel again though. Until then I'm gonna keep watching videos to stay sane lol!

That's some good lookin' crab right there! Really impressive that this is home made. It looks like something you'd buy at a high-class restaurant! I think I've said it before, but that's another great thing about Japan - It's an island country so there's tons of good seafood to be had and it's prepared better than anywhere else in the world imo. Especially when it comes to crab, you'll find just the most amazing dishes like this. It's been a few years since I threw out some crab pots with my dad but I'd love to do it again, it's always a lot of fun. I've never been crabbing in Japan before so I'm interested to know if it's done differently here somehow. Maybe like different crab pots or methods, etc. The only thing I doubt is different is the waking up early 😂. That's gotta be one of the hardest parts about crabbing/fishing for me. Waking up at 3 AM takes some dedication! I guess if you want to catch some delicious snow crab to make a dish like this it's worth it though! That or just buy it at the supermarket I guess lol

Wow, that's awesome. I never would have expected that Loui Vuitton would open a café. Surprised I didn't hear about this sooner tbh. Not surprising that they opened in Japan though. Japan has the best cafe's I've ever been to, bar none, so I can imagine that the food is just out of this world as well. It's interesting they went for a French dining restaurant/café instead of just a restaurant, but maybe they decided to go with a café because of Japan's awesome café culture. I'd love to check this place out, but it might be a liiittle bit above my budget so that'll probably have to wait unfortunately😅 It looks like those are truffles in the picture too so I don't even want to know how much that box itself is worth😂

I could really go for some yakisoba right about now. I always love going around at festivals and looking for the yakisoba vendors as it's the best festival food imo. I actually haven't had it cooked on teppan in a restaurant in a few years though. I think the last time I did it was at an okonomiyaki restaurant with a bunch of friends, was a lot of fun. This "En" restaurant in Yoyogi looks pretty good though, I'll have to keep an eye out for it or write it down for whenever I'm in the area next. I'm probably going to make some yakisoba this weekend if not sooner though, cuz it sounds pretty good right now😂

As always Japan has amazing desserts. Went and dug up some old posts and found a lot of awesome photos. This one just kind of stuck out the most. I've personally never tried mochi and ice cream together but now that I think about it it actually sounds like it could be a pretty good combination. I'm curious as to what the sauce is as well. I've had different types of dango with different types of sauce before but this seems like a totally different experience. I'm considering getting some the next time I go shopping so I can try this. I'm trying to imagine a type of ice cream filled dango or dango filled ice cream but idk how well it would work if the dango are warm 😂. Either way it sounds really good and I don't think I've ever had a bad dessert in Japan so I'd love to try this out if I can manage a trip to Kyoto. When I went to Kyoto in the past I was only in Kawaramachi for a really short amount of time so I'd really like to explore it more next time!

Wow, that looks amazing. French food is usually already really pretty but with the Japanese touch it's really something else. I really like that you can see the Japanese twist with things like the small ramen/chashu dish and the food carving that seems to be a specialty of Japan. I was watching Grand Maison Tokyo last year with my girlfriend and it was really cool watching what the French cuisine industry might look like in Japan and I guess just the top of the food industry in general. I haven't had French cuisine much lately myself I'm more of an Italian kind of guy, but maybe once valentines day comes around I'll make a dinner reservation. To be fair this Craftale place actually seems pretty affordable considering what they're offering. A fancy dinner course for ¥10,000 is quite reasonable.

Man that's a lot of meat! I love yakiniku though so I wouldn't be surprised if I could eat all of it 😂 I haven't went to a yakiniku restaurant in a while since we just cook it at home in our nabe, but I'd love to go to a yakiniku restaurant again soon. The atmosphere is always really nice and it's nice to get out and have a beer with some friends over some delicious meat. I used to always go to this all-you-can-eat style yakiniku restaurant with friends some years back but with everyone living in different places I haven't been able to do so in a while. I'm pretty sure I've never went to Ushimatsu, but dang does it look good. I'm a huge fan of the toasted bread and meat too, looks tasty! If I'm ever in Minato and looking to splurge I'll have to give this place a visit!
