Today, we will take a walk ☔ around the rainy Castle Town Kitsuki The rainy season has begun, and there is a heavy rain warning today. In the meantime, I guided a small group customer from Australia and took a walk in the rain in the Kitadai Samurai Residence Street. Here are just a few places you can enjoy on a rainy day. Please take a look at the scenery that can only be seen in Kitsuki City, and can only be seen on rainy days. 【Isoya Residence】The culture of hospitality seen in the Lord's resting place At the top of the slope of the accounting hall is the "Rakujutei" of the imperial residence set up as a resting place for the lords. Three of the rooms, the entrance room, the guest room, and the tea room, still remain as the Isoya residence. The architecture was built in the thirteenth year of culture (1816). After that, Kato Yogoemon, who became the owner, repeatedly expanded and renovated it, and it took its current form. Just as the role of Rakujutei was "rest", "healing" hospitality is prepared everywhere in the mansion. The garden is the best representation of this. The view of the garden, which can be seen from every room in the mansion, shows the Commitment and care of this mansion. Each window frame reflects a different garden scene, and the stylish arrangements extend to the hand water bowls and Ranma. The location of the paving stones placed in the garden, the arrangement and type of trees that have been fully calculated. Throughout the mansion, there is a profound spirit that speaks to us over the past 200 years. 【Isoya Residence】 〒873-0001 大分県杵築市杵築211-1 TEL 0978-63-1488 business hours 10:00~17:00 (Admission until 16:30) Closed Year-end and New Year holidays Entrance Fees Individuals: Adults 300 yen / Elementary and junior high school students 150 yen Groups: Adults 240 yen / Elementary and junior high school students 120 yen

Goishicha tea is a "post-fermented tea" 🍵 made in Otoyo, Kochi Prefecture It is made by a rare manufacturing method called "two-stage fermentation" in which tea leaves are steamed, fermented with lactic acid bacteria, and then further fermented. [Kanagawa] Hokule'a Shonan / 5 Star PADI Scuba Dive Center
Jun. 7, 2025
Divers who protect the ocean are cool after all! Hello, I'm Hokule'a Shonan! Today, I'd like to tell you a little bit about what we're working on, Dive Against Yellowtail. The other day, my friends and I dived together into the sea in Shizuura, Shizuoka Prefecture, and dived to collect garbage in the water. Take a look at this group photo taken after the activity! Isn't everyone really cool? The reason we think it's "cool" isn't just how it looks. I hope that we will come to an age where "picking up trash" will be taken for granted and seen as something to be proud of. That's what we have in mind. 🌊 Diving is a special time to connect with the sea. When you dive, you will be soothed by the tranquility and beauty of the water. You will also notice that there is garbage produced by people in the sea. Plastic bags, plastic bottles, pieces of fishing gear... There is also a reality that makes you want to look away. In such a situation, there is something that only divers can do. We believe so. Picking up trash can be sobering. But it's an action to protect the oceans of the future. And don't you think it's very cool? 🪸 Protecting the ocean should be part of the appeal of diving. Protecting the environment isn't just for special people. There are many things that you can feel and do because you are a diver. For those of us who live with the sea, the act of "protecting" is Nature. That may be the image of a "cool" diver in the future. Don't take out trash and pick it up. Both of these are steps towards protecting our oceans. Hokule'a Shonan will continue these activities in the future. If you like the ocean, why don't you start doing something "a little good for the earth" together? #DiveAgainstDebris #OceanConservation #ProtectWhatYouLove #ScubaForChange #DiversForTheOcean #CleanupDive #BluePlanetProtection #SustainableDiving #MarineDebrisAwareness #EcoFriendlyDiver #PADIAWARE #HokuleaShonan

The warm days just keep coming! On days like this, why not visit the Fishway Observation Room, Totoroado? At Totoroado, you can watch fish swimming close by through glass! I visited on June 6th and was able to see cherry trout (sakuramasu) making their way upstream! One of the charms is that different fish migrate at different times of year🐟✨ It's a great spot for families with children! Be sure to stop by Totoroado and take a look♪

June 16 (Monday): Yukimichi Bookshop on a pop-up visit Starting this month, Yukimichi Bookshop will come to Nishiokoppe Village on the third Monday of each month📖 Until now their pop-ups were often on Wednesdays, so if that timing didn’t work for you, please drop by for a quick look. The location is Pomu. It’s the building between Nishiokoppe Village Office and Kikuchi Shoten that at first glance looks like a private home. Look for the “We’re Open” sign the children made a little while ago. Yukimichi, which has a shop in Shimokawacho, brings a carefully selected range of books from their large stock each time, so we’re excited to see what treasures appear this month! We welcome visitors from the village and neighbors alike. #Nishiokoppe Village #Yukimichi Bookshop pop-up #Shimokawacho #Pomu #June 16 #Third Monday
