The casks also feature a metal exterior design with cherry blossom petals. The other Starbucks Reserve Roastery are located in Seattle, Shanghai, Milan, and New York. This is the very first Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Japan. The CEO of Starbucks Coffee Japan, Takafumi Mizuguchi, made a speech, stating, “I want to make Japan a coffee wonderland” (0:36). After Mizuguchi’s speech, the architect, Kengo Kuma (a well-known designer who designed the new National Stadium) talked about the exterior design of this Starbucks.
