～御影堂への回廊～
善通寺“西院”の正門となる仁王門。 西院から御影堂(みえどう)へ続く回廊の上部側面には、空海の生涯が描かれた絵が掲げられています。 御影堂(みえどう)を中心とし“誕生院”とも呼ばれる“西院”は空海が誕生した邸宅地にあたると伝わっています。

～Corridor to Miedou～
Niomon is the main gate of Zentsuji "Saiin". On the upper side of the corridor leading from Saiin to Miedou, there is a picture depicting the life of Kukai. It is said that "Saiin," which is also called "Birthplace", centered around Miedou, is the residence where Kukai was born.
