We will hold the “Horticulture LAB Monitor Tour: Spectacular Views! Mikata Five Lakes Enjoyment Tour” from Saturday, August 31, 2024 to Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Fukui Prefecture has been drawing attention with the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension. Thirty minutes west from the terminus at Tsuruga Station, you will find the Mikata Five Lakes, each showing a different color. Breathtaking views at Rainbow Line Summit Park, leisurely boat rides, refreshing lakeside cycling, outstanding seafood cuisine…and memorable moments on the Horticulture LAB hill in Fukui Prefecture. We offer family-friendly horticulture activities (Fun Course) and a slightly deeper horticulture class (Exploration Course) for a special experience. Day 1
11:00 Meet at JR Tsuruga Station = Lunch (unagi and sashimi set) = Horticulture LAB Hill (choose Fun Horticulture Experience - Fun Course or Exploration Course) = Rainbow Line Summit Park = Mihama Town Lake Center (lake cruise on battery-powered boats around the Mikata Five Lakes) = 17:00 Accommodation (overnight by Lake Hiruga, one of the Mikata Five Lakes, enjoy seafood)

Day 2
8:45 Depart lodging … Cycling about 20 km (ride along the lakeshore with a guide; in rain: indoor experience) … Lunch / Free time = Sea of Japan Fish Market / Free time (shopping for souvenirs, etc.) = 15:30 Arrival at JR Tsuruga Station
