Summer is hot and humid every day and sweaty. If you walk along the approach to Ohara Sansenin Temple in the direction of Shorinji Temple, you will see a vermilion bridge. The bridge over the blue leaves was really impressive. As you get closer, this place full of negative ions is truly a power spot.

I chose Kawagoe in Saitama Prefecture as a place I want to visit after Corona. In addition to the historic townscape, Kawagoe has many shrines. There is a cool atmosphere that makes you forget the summer heat, and I chose this photo because I wanted everyone to go after corona.

I took this photo last fall when I went to Yasukuni Shrine to see ginkgo. The balance between sunlight, ginkgo biloba and torii gates is so good that I want to go see it again this year!

When it is hydrangea season or peony season, you will want to go there. This staircase is long and difficult.

Togakushi Shrine in Nagano Prefecture is the approach to Okusha shrine! Lined with 800-year-old bear cedars, it is a power spot with a solemn landscape. What a great photo of Heian Jingu. I haven't had the chance to visit this one in Kyoto unfortunately, too entranced by Kiyomizudera I suppose. I really need to check out Heian Jingu though, I always enjoy seeing photos of it. I really love how open the courtyard is and seeing the large torii gate is always cool as well. I'd really like to take a stroll through the garden here as well, it's supposed to be pretty incredible from what I've heard. Really tranquil no doubt. I know there are some ponds or at least one pond, I'm not sure if it has any koi in it though, Although I'm sure there are as most gardens seems to have them, plus they're really beautiful so it'd be a shame not to have them. I knew there was a festival here that's supposed to be really awesome but couldn't remember the name so I had to look it up. The Reisai Festival - Supposed to be really great for seeing Geiko and Maiko and hearing some traditional instruments like the shamisen

Amazing.. This is a scene that I never get tired of seeing. It's such a scenic location already and then you have the beautiful torii gates as well. There's something about the gates at Motonosumi Inari Shrine and the ones at Fushimi Inari Shrine that look so mystical, like they're really transporting you to another world. On a side note, I've been seeing a lot of Yamaguchi Prefecture lately and I'm starting to realize that it has a bunch of cool stuff. The Akiyoshido caves and Tsunoshima Bridge, and the weather just looks fantastic. Looking forward to more sunny weather like this, so hopefully the rainy season isn't too bad. It's definitely a bit earlier than usual this year, that's for sure.

Sensoji Temple is full of people. During the first visit, I casually looked back and pressed the button. I used to visit the shrine every year. I thought it was annoying because there were many people, but now I feel this crowd is beautiful. I would be happy if I could see this scenery again someday.

Wow, what a breathtaking view. It really does look just like a mirror, it's incredible how perfect the reflection is. I really love the green as well, it's such a brilliant shade it really gives you the feeling of the rich, verdant countryside. I've had a love of rice fields since before I can remember, just because they look so beautiful and you can really appreciate the technology of humankind through them. I've never seen the rice fields in Kyoto to be honest, only the temples and shrines, which isn't exactly unfortunate, but I would really like to get out into the countryside as well. This reminds me so much of Akita as well and I only have fond memories of my time there. Going to have to throw the rice fields of Kyoto on my list for my next visit. On a bit of a tangent, it's pretty amazing you can take photos like this on cell phones now. Incredible how far we've come.

I took the lanterns displayed in the Heian Shrine. This pattern is called "Chrysanthemum Flower Pattern" and is said to be the family crest of the Emperor's family. It seems that this coat of arms is everywhere in Heian Jingu, so I would like to look for it next time I visit.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple is Niomon. At that time, it was crowded with many tourists even though it was under renovation work. I hope to get revenge someday.

This is Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. The vermilion color shines well against the blue of the sky. When Corona settles down, I want to go through that torii gate again.

Also in the season of bellflower blooming. ⛩️ Seimei Shrine Seimei Shrine is Kyoto's best power spot. In the precincts, "five-pointed stars" are displayed everywhere. Also known as the "Five-pointed Star", also known as "Seimei Kikyo", it is one of the prayer spells used in the Yin-Yang Path created by the Prince of Seimei.

What an incredible photo, the coloring of the floats goes perfectly with the sunset and the clouds. What an awesome looking festival. I've never heard about Murakami Taisai, but it looks like it's about 400 years old now and some of the floats created 200 years ago are still used even today. I've never actually visited Niigata but it looks like a fun place. Just inconveniently placed I guess lol. Seeing cool photos like this though really makes me want to visit. This festival is in early July as well, so not too far off. Might be cool to visit and get some of the festival food I've been missing out on. Can always make yakisoba at home but it just never really hits the same as some made at a yatai!
