Fukuoka Prefecture may not be on the typical tourist route, but it harbors countless hidden gems, and Nanzoin Temple is undeniably one of the most noteworthy. It claims to house the world's largest bronze reclining Buddha statue, which exudes tranquility under the vast blue sky. Despite visiting numerous places, it holds a special place in my heart, infusing me with positivity and making it one of my favorite summer destinations.

◆Hyaku Thailand Koshin◆ The stone statue of Koshin and the origin monument at the top of the center of the approach to the temple were erected by Ohara Nobutomi in March of the 11th year of Bunsei (1828). According to it, "If we hold a ceremony to worship Mr./Ms. on the day of Koshin and observe it seven times, we can reduce the plague of Sanshin. Many people from inside and outside the Village also erected a monument to Koshin. I will write the reason on this monument, apologize to the Emperor of Heaven, give it to my companions, and pray for the prosperity of my descendants for a long time in peace." Certain. In this way, this Koshin was erected at the request of a wide range of nearby Township Villages, and there are a total of 100 statues.

Kannon-do at Ninna-ji Temple The construction of Ninna-ji Temple began at the request of Emperor Mitsutaka, and was founded by Emperor Uta in the 4th year of Ninwa (888). It has been revered by successive emperors as a private temple of the Imperial Family. Doll memorial service Nagano Prefecture Suwa City Hot Spring Temple (Rinzai sect Myoshinji sect) On March 17, 2014, I went to a Hot Spring Temple. It is about a 10-minute walk from Kamisuwa Station. This temple offers Traditional Japanese straw raincoat dolls and stuffed animals. It's like a funeral for Traditional Japanese straw raincoat dolls and stuffed animals. At the Hot Spring Temple, a memorial service for dolls is held every March. 　In Japan, there is a Boys' Day (May 5) and a Girls' Day (March 3). Most grandparents give dolls as gifts for their grandchildren to pray for the growth and health of their children. It is a traditional doll original to Japan. That's why many Japanese families have Japanese dolls. I think dolls also have a soul like animism. So, if your child has a doll, the child will play with the doll. Small and pretty white Ume plums are beginning to bloom here and there. I found a Ume plum tree in a sloping place in the sports park. This is also a bright pink red Ume plum. There are cherry blossom trees around it, and it is a spot where you can enjoy flowers throughout spring. Maruyama Castle Park is lined with Ume plum trees that seem to be more than 3 meters tall. The overlapping of the petals is beautiful. Some people enjoyed taking a walk.

【First Yakushi in Reiwa 6】 Yesterday, the annual Yakushi event "Hatsuyakushi" was held, and it was crowded with many pilgrims. Around 12 o'clock, there was a line of cars in the parking lot of the Hyuga Yakushi bus stop and the Yakushi Forest Road, and it was difficult to pass each other. After turning back, I was finally parked in the parking lot of Bochu and walked from the mountain gate to the main hall. An elderly man who came down said, "You're afraid to come, I don't have porridge anymore," and I stopped in my tracks. But a picture is worth a thousand words. We had just started the climb, so we hurried ahead. When I went up to the main hall, I found that the porridge oven was still being cleaned, and unfortunately I couldn't have it this year. However, even after the distribution of porridge was over, there were constant pilgrims, and it was Hyuga Yakushi who was celebrating a lively New Year's holiday.

"An autumnal mist" During my visit to Daisho-in temple in Miyajima I witnessed this autumn mist along with very cute Jizo statues. The mist, sunlight, autumn colors and Jizo statues makes the atmosphere astonishingly beautiful. It touched my heart and I will remember this particular moments for long time. It was one of my best autumn moments.

Wrapped in a cherry blossom blizzard, it is ? the Jizo of Teirinji Temple in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture. On this day, the weather was good and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. There were many splendid cherry blossoms planted and it was wonderful, but there were almost no worshippers or photographers, so I was able to enjoy the tranquility.

A much less known place in Tokyo. Several tourist and local people usually visit Kama kura to see the great budha but unfortunately many of them don't know this great budha of Tokyo. This great budha of Tokyo is selected as one of the top 100 tourist spot in in new Tokyo. Additionally this is the 3rd largest bronze statue of budha in Japan. This is located in Akatsuka of Itabashi city. Almost no crowd but very well organized place. I highly recommend tourists to visit Tokyo daibutsu during their stay in Tokyo.

#When you climb up the Otokozaka slope of the Mt. Takao Mountain Trail No. 1, you will find a white #Agogue gate with the word "suffering" expressing it. It was in the back of this that there was one of the best power spots on Mt. Takao. It was written on the sign to walk along the Three Cs road while trying to erase disturbing emotions. After passing through the Three Cs Road, you will see beautiful white buildings. This is a stupa that contains the bones of Buddha #stupa. Since it was sent by the royal family of Thailand, I am convinced that it is such an exotic and beautiful structure. Just looking at Kannon-sama on both sides of the stupa is refreshing. On the left is #Childcare Kannon. Holding a baby like the Virgin Mary. This photo shows Mr. #Kannon who is standing on the right. Coupled with the camellia blooming behind (I went in April), its beauty stopped moving. If you want to climb it, please go through the gate of suffering, walk along the Three Cs Road, and meet the beautiful Kannon-sama.

It is said that Kukai visited and carved Benten-sama. It is housed in the Treasure Hall, and in the cave there is a statue of Renzaiten and a statue of the Sixteen Children. It is said that if you write a wish and dedicate a candle, your wish will come true. It was a fantastic and mysterious space that made me feel like I was going back in time.

The Twin Dragon Ceiling of Kenninji Temple is a masterpiece!

Some more photos I took at Asukayama Park the other day. I really liked this statue of Avalokitesvara, as I felt like it was really well crafted. I included the description to this monument as it's hard to read what is carved onto the stone and it's written in older Japanese too so my friends couldn't even read it lol. I think it has something to do with a poem about cherry blossoms although I could be wrong about that. It's pretty cool seeing the older Japanese from hundreds of years ago though. Even if I can't read it it's interesting to see how the Japanese language itself has evolved throughout the years. I'll be posting more photos of this place tomorrow as well!

Some more photos I took at Todaiji Temple. The first statue is of Vaisravana (多聞天/毘沙門天), another of the Four Heavenly Kings, holding a staff and some sort of small pagoda,. The second statue is Cintamanicakra (如意輪観音), a bodhisattva. The third photo is a (unfortunately poor quality) photo of Vairocana, the Cosmic Buddha from my understanding. The rest of the photos are models of Todaiji's Great Buddha Hall from 800 and 300 years ago, and Nandai-mon, the Great South Gate. The pagoda is, from my understanding, a replica of one of the lost pagodas that used to be located at Todaiji Temple, but I believe was burnt down? I could be wrong about that though. Then last is a photo of the heads of Virudhaka (増長天)(left), and Dhrtarastra (持国天)(right), two of the Four Heavenly Kings. Lots of cool stuff to be seen at Todaiji! Definitely recommend it. My photos don't do it justice at all.

I found some photos of when I visited Todaiji Temple. I took a photo of the bronze lantern out front of the temple because I thought it looked really cool, but it's pretty crazy to think that the lantern is around 1,300 years old at this point. I also took some photos of a few of the statues inside the temple, the first being Akasagarbha (虚空蔵菩薩), one of the Eight Great Bodhisattva, and the second (which took me forever to find the name of...) being Virupaksa (広目天), one of the Four Heavenly Kings. I'm not sure what Virupaksa is made of but I think this statue is made of wood, although I could be wrong. It looks like a different material from the other statues inside the temple, although it's been quite a while since I visited and I can't recall exactly. All the statues are really awesome though. I'll have to upload some more photos later!

What an interesting photo... I don't usually associate the buddha with being cute, but this one deserves an exception I suppose lol. Something about the way he's standing and just saying "hey" is really intriguing. It's a really interesting decoration for a chozuya as well. I can't read cursive to save my life, but I think it says something about the Amitabha Buddha? I can only make out the first character and I think it's a longer sutra maybe. Anyways, I've never been to Taisho Temple, it looks like it has a lot of interesting history to enjoy though. It looks like it'd be a nice play to go on a slightly warm day when the cherry blossoms are out, just like in this photo.

Wow! I know Himeji has some awesome things like Himeji Castle of course, but to just find this while going for a walk, how cool is that! Speaking of Himeji Castle, I wish I could have see nthe projection mapping event they had there in 2015? I think it was. Hopefully they do something like that again because I'd love to go and see it for myself. I envy anyone who got to see it in person? I really like the stone lanterns and small Buddhist statues in this photo as well, it really gives that temple feel. I'll have to be on the lookout for this place when I visit Himeji!

A bronze statue in Asago City, Hyogo Prefecture, at Himemiya Shrine. Does the snow-covered figure look like a girl celebrating her coming-of-age ceremony? It was so cute that I involuntarily released the shutter.
