Shirakawago / Gifu Shirakawago / Gifu I visited with my family last summer. I took my breath away at the overwhelming presence of gassho-zukuri、、! Next time, I would 😁 like to see the simultaneous water discharge training in autumn and the snowy scenery in winter. When I first heard about shirakawago in 2015 from then had dream to visit this place someday. Finally my dream come true and today I visited the most picture perfect and iconic village of Japan. I feel an unexplainable joy and time goes very fast to enjoy the beauty. The beautiful and unique gassho-zukuri village on a pre-autumn rainy morning. The traditional house, the rice fields, cosmos flowers, the green mountains and the alleys of pines what else we need to see. The whole atmosphere is so beautiful.

It is Monet's pond in Gifu Prefecture. The water in this pond is very clear with spring water, so the carp also looks floating, especially Instagrammable.

In the future, when the New Maruyama Dam is completed and the surrounding area is maintained, it will be possible to go to the secluded Fukasawa Gorge again. At Aikawa Waterfront Park in Tarui Town, Gifu Prefecture Carp streamers have been swimming on the river since the end of March. If you are at the end of March ~ beginning of April, you can see cherry blossoms as shown in the photo, and Mt. Ibuki covered with snow in the back.
