Hello everyone! This is ♪ the Minami Town Tourism Association On July 19, 2025, the Hiwasa Umigame Museum Caretta, located in Minami Town, Kaibu District, Tokushima Prefecture, reopened after about two years of renovation work. Therefore, this time, we would like to introduce "Hiwasa Umigame Museum Caretta" to everyone! 【Overview】 Hiwasa Umigame Museum Caretta (commonly known as Caretta) is a Museum located in the Minami Town of Kaibu District, Tokushima Prefecture, and is one of the world's rare Museum specializing in sea turtles. Caretta, with the theme of "Coexistence between Nature and Man", opened in 1985. Its predecessor was the Hiwasa Town Water Museum, and its predecessor was the loggerhead turtle protection and breeding research activities by the Hiwasa junior high school Sea Turtle Research Group, Located in. The Hiwasa Junior High School Sea Turtle Research Group was established in 1950 with the aim of protecting and breeding loggerhead sea turtles that land and lay eggs on the Ohama Coast. At that time, there were no systematic research results on sea turtles, and there were not enough facilities in rural junior high schools in the immediate postwar period, so students at that time began to protect sea turtles in a semi-fumbling state. The students' trial and error over the course of about 10 years bore fruit, and the results of their research have been introduced in numerous magazines, and "Ohama Coast as a spawning ground for loggerhead sea turtles" has become famous throughout Japan. Finally, it was designated as a nationally designated natural monument as "sea turtles and their spawning grounds on the Ohama Coast," and the activities of Hiwasa in Minami Town were in the spotlight. In order to make these conservation and research activities more widely known to as many people as possible, the Hiwasa Umigame Museums Caretta was opened. 【Exhibit Contents】 As the museum's name derives from the scientific name of loggerhead sea turtles "Caretta caretta", the exhibition focuses on loggerhead sea turtles. Before the renovation, Caretta was an exhibition that mainly introduced the ecology of sea turtles. Even in this renovation, the exhibit introducing the ecology of sea turtles remains, but it has been reborn to introduce the conservation and research activities of Minami Town Hiwasa in more detail. As soon as you enter, there is an exhibition that covers the evolution of turtles and sea turtles, and in the passage that follows, you can see stuffed sea turtles of eight existing species and explain the ecology of each sea turtle. The next section focuses on loggerhead sea turtles that land on the Ohama Coast and explains in detail what kind of life loggerhead sea turtles lead on the Ohama Coast. Scenes of newborn hatchlings and one-year-old hatchlings swimming vigorously here. And in the next corner, there is an exhibition that looks back on the history of the activities of Minami Town Hiwasa, which is a major feature of this renovation. Why did the students of Hiwasa junior high school embark on loggerhead turtle conservation, how did they proceed with their research, and how did they come to be recognized by the public? You can learn about the history of sea turtle conservation that continues to the present day. At the end of the exhibition, you can learn how to protect sea turtles from modern environmental problems and how sea turtle conservation activities are carried out. In addition to this, there is a display exhibition of sea turtles designed by children in the Original swimming on the screen, and a corner where you can take a quiz about sea turtles. In addition, from the observation space on the 2nd floor, you can overlook the Ohama Coast in front of you. [Outdoor Exhibition] Outside the main exhibition building, there is a "large turtle pool" where adult loggerhead sea turtles swim leisurely. In consideration of an environment that is easy for loggerhead sea turtles to swim in, the indigo color scheme that is conscious of the seabed of the Nature and the streamlined pool without horns are created. It was also designed to be viewed from the side of the pool so that it is easy to observe them swimming and resting on the bottom of the water. Hamataro, one of the loggerhead sea turtles living here, was born in 1950 at Hiwasa Junior High School and has been bred ever since for the purpose of observing the life of the sea turtle, which is still a mystery. Hamataro, who turned 75 years old this year, holds the world's longest-lived loggerhead sea turtle record for which his age and individual have been reliably recorded, and he continues to break it. In addition to this, there is also a "Touch Pool" and a "Pale Water Turtle Pool" where you can interact with the creatures of the seashore, and the "Tatayo Umigame Museum" where you can observe swimming sea turtles from below. 【Umigame Shokudo】 Caretta has a "Umigame Shokudo" adjacent to the large game pool. Meals set meal, curry rice, and kamemonaka with ice milk are on sale, and you can enjoy them in the dining space. In addition, there is a side window of the large turtle pool facing the Meals space, and you can watch the sea turtles swimming gracefully while enjoying the food. Squid was it? The charm of Caretta presented here is only a small part. The charm of Caretta and the charm of sea turtles can only be felt with your five senses when you go to the site! In the past, there were "round-table discussions" and "historical walking tours" in the Tomi City Yoshizu area, where Azusa kamiko (priestesses) called "Nonou" who were said to be the "Village priestesses of No.1 in Japan" and who traveled around the world gathered. Local residents' volunteers held the "Nishinomiya-ri Development Association," which was attended by 15 people from inside and outside the prefecture, including history buffs and tourism officials. "In the Spring, a group of several to several dozen priestesses, led by the Shinto ritual Maitao, set out on a tour from Nonou Alley, and they divined their worries, sufferings, and wishes in the village where they toured," says Hirofumi Shinohara, secretary of the association. He is the "descendant family of the Shinto ritual Maitao (owner of Nishinomiya Shrine)", and Ancient documents are handed down to the house, and researchers who visit from all over the country and people who admire Nonou are accepted and visited to guide the history of the area. Four years ago, I held a walking priestess tour in Pre, and this is the second time. In March of this year, he published "Nonou's Picture Book" in order to let Local children know about it. At a roundtable discussion held at the Community Center, Mr. Shinohara said, "I would like to broaden my horizons and experience the history and culture of Jozu with Nonou." He explained his involvement with Sengoku Warlords such as Takeda Shingen, and how the area was spun by people such as the Sanada clan, Yamabushi, and Nonou of Yuzu while playing an active role. He also spoke about the endemic nature of Yoshizu, saying, "There were many things related to women, such as being kind to women, and there were a variety of livelihoods." Tyler Lynch, the young husband of Tokura Kamiyamada Hot Spring "Ryokan Kamekiyo," who participated in the event, said, "It is very interesting from a European and Rice perspective. Ms. Shinohara said, "There is no historical record that the priestess had a Gari of espionage activities or that she was acting as a female ninja, but since she was in a position to travel around the country and see and hear various Information, how she used it is Squid world of imagination." Kazuo Hayakawa, secretary general of the Shinshu Toumi Tourism Association, said, "I hope people will learn about the culture of Yoshitsu Village. There is also a culture where Nishinomiya and Higashimachi compete with each other." The historical walking tour was led by Mr. Shinohara and guided by Local officials such as Hiroaki Igarashi and Mr. Hayakawa of Jotsuin. After visiting Nonou's grave, the ruins of the mansion, the alley of Nonou, and the Nishinomiya Shrine, Mr. Shinohara "cleansed his body by bathing in cold Water at this well (the ruins of the mansion)." At the Nishinomiya Shrine, "I used to watch my grandfather printing bills until I was in junior high school." At Kanai alley, he said, "You can see Mt. Misaki from here, Mr. Kanai was in charge of the Mt. Mijayama Festival, and there were priestesses and priestesses among the hospitality, and they offered the deer caught on Mt. Misaki to the gods." Visiting the site of the Jotsu-in temple opened by Mr. Yoshitsu under the guidance of Sumitomo Igarashi. At the gravesite of the Yoshitsu clan, we learned about Roux and the face of the falconer sect, and the falconry ritual of the Suwa faith. In addition to this, we also visited the Maiden River, the megalith of the princess, the Nishinomiya Kabuki Stage, and the Higashimachi Kabuki Stage. Mayumi Castro Kagura, a priestess and writer from Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, said, "I've been interested in Yoshitsu for the past two years and have been coming here frequently. Kaori Yamazaki, a participant from Nagano City, said, "I have walked since I participated in the Walking Priestess Tour four years ago, and this is a good opportunity to listen to the explanations, so I hope it will continue in the future." Yu Takizawa, who participated from Sugadaira Highlands in Ueda City, said, "I'm planning a walking priestess tour with my friends, and I want to dress up as a priestess and walk while thinking about it." On July 7th, the members who participated this time will take the lead in holding the "Walking Priestess Tour" of the Yoshitsu Historical Walk. Under the guidance of Mr. Takizawa, the Traditional Culture Study Group groups, and under the guidance of Mr. Tyler, the "Ninja Project groups" will tour Yuzu. < Historical Notes> ◇ Nonou's tour of countries: Emotional support for the common people As a mediator between gods and people, Nonou performed "mouth-to-mouth" activities such as ringing the azusa bow and conveying oracles. It supported the spirit of the common people from the Sengoku period to the Edo period. The warlord also borrowed Nonou's mouth to obtain a prophecy of victory from the gods, alleviating the fear of death and giving him confidence of victory. In the Edo period, the largest number of nonou lived in the Village of Akizu, and there were about 50 nonou houses. With the approval of the Edo shogunate's temple and shrine magistrates, the Saiai Shinto Shinto ritual Maitao and Nonou, who presided over Azusa Jinko, formed a caravan and were able to tour the countries freely. In the Meiji era, activities were banned by the religious policy of the new government, and many sought new ways of life, such as closing businesses or immigrating. ◇Minamoto of Nonou Historical soil of Akizu As for why priestesses gathered in the Village of Yoshitsu, according to Higashimomachi magazines and magazines, it is considered that the land of Yoshitsu has been a soil for accepting priestesses since ancient times, and place names and remnants related to women and Shinto ritual. Tradition reminiscent of the origins of Nonou and the historical climate of Yoshitsu are listed in chronological order. ▽ From the Kofun period to the Nara period, the central power advanced into the area, and the culture of the ancient center flourished in this area ▽ The changes in place names that remain in ancient times (Umino Township→ Miss Village→ Maiden Township → Umino Sho) are place names that indicate the local character that has a deep relationship with "Yubu" in ancient times, and the figure of Yube, the priestesses who participated in the requiem Shinto ritual of performing Kagura dances and playing divine spirits, comes to mind ▽ From the end of the Heian period to the beginning of the Edo period, the Shino clan of the Yoshitsu clan made a name for themselves as the best falconers in the eastern part of the country, and there are many secret traditions among the falconers, and shamanism can be seen in them. ▽ The Yoshitsu clan is strongly associated with medieval Suwa, and the local characters "Mijakuyama", Iwai-do, and Kanai alley that remain in the former Akizu Village convey the faces of the Mijayama Shinto ritual (hunting Shinto ritual) that the Yoshitsu clan would have performed as a clan of the Suwa no kami clan. Mt. Misaki is a hunting ground, and Iwai-do is a remnant of a place (celebration hall) for divine festivals. Kanai alley is a place name that conveys the place of residence of the Kanai clan, who served as a deer priest who prepared dishes to be offered to the gods, and who served as a large city official who dedicated kagura at festivals and conveyed divine proclamations. ▽ During the Sengoku period, Chiyo Mochizuki, who was appointed as the head priestess (priestess) of both Kai and Shinano by a shuin stamp letter from Takeda Shingen, relied on her connections and settled in Yuzu Village. ▽ In the Edo period, Yoshitsu was the main flag, so it was easy for Nonou and others to work and the backing of the shogunate. 【Gion Shrine Summer Annual Grand Festival】 July 15 was the Annual Grand Festival ⛩ of Gion Shrine I covered 📷 the "Morimaki Shinto ritual" before the ceremony We will 💪 make the makaya that we picked that morning into the shape of Yamata no Orochi The thatch is hard, and it is 😅 very difficult to twist the amount of many at once However, the members of the Morimaki Shinto ritual preservation society finished it with ✨ their Mackerel It seems 😆 that the amazake made overnight was also exceptionally delicious this year This year, there were many galleries, which made me 😁 happy "Gion-san" cherished by local people It will 🥰 continue to work with the community in the future

Good evening, everyone! This is the Minami Town Tourism Association! Yesterday, we Implementation the opening Events of Tainohama Beach Station in Tainohama Beach Beaches and reported on it. But that wasn't all Minami Town did yesterday and today! !! While the hot sun was shining brightly, the Lively atmosphere was boiling in Minami Town Hiwasa! !! Yesterday (July 12th), the 62nd Hiwasa Umigame Festival was held in! Centered on the Ohama Coast, where sea turtles land and lay eggs, this historic summer festival prays for gratitude to sea turtles and the sea. In addition to the Shinto ritual at Ohama Coast, baby sea turtles were released and prayed for their return to Ohama Coast. In addition, Many stalls were lined up on Sakuramachi Street, which is the street in front of the Temple of Yakuo Temple, and performances sponsored by local people were also shown on two stages. On the main stage, the venue was very crowded with Kameta and "Tokushima Prefecture resident entertainer" Mitoshi and the two-person MC system performing the Sentai Hero Show and Awa Odori. The Noryo Fireworks Display was held on the riverbed of the Hiwasa River to conclude the festival. A total of 1,500 fireworks were launched on the largest scale in the southern region of Tokushima Prefecture, and they scorched the summer night sky brightly and flashily! The excitement of the Hiwasa Umigame Festival has not cooled down, and today (July 13th), the 26th Hiwasa Umigame Triathlon was Held in! A 1.5km swim departing from Ohama Coast, a 40km bike ride on the Minamiawa Sunline and back, and a 10km run along the Hiwasa River. As the name suggests, about 350 participants took on the challenge of three very grueling competitions. With the sincere support of the Town residents and those who visited to watch the race, many people completed the race brilliantly! Summer is finally in full swing in Minami Town. The hot days continue, but let's all spend this summer energetically with the "heat" in our hearts that is as hot as the heat!

The Kikuchi Tourism Association rents out bicycles. Use it has increased recently. This time, we would like to introduce the popular Outbound destination "Marichi Castle". Marichi Castle is a mountain castle built by the Yamato administration in the latter half of the 7th century (about 1350 years ago). Excavations by the prefecture have uncovered valuable remains, including the remains of 72 buildings, the remains of a Water reservoir, and the remains of a Earthen mound. You can also see the restored building in action. In addition, at the Onko Soseikan, you can learn more about the history and structure of Marichi Castle through exhibitions and videos. Excavations have been carried out since 1967 (Showa 42). In terms of size, it is about 12 times the size of Tokyo Dome. The park is very spacious, so it is ideal for walking. In fact, our staff also went on an electrically assisted bicycle. I was able to arrive from Kikuchi City Hometown Creation Citizens Square to Marichi Castle in about 20 minutes. Slope is a little, but since it is an electrically assisted bicycle, you can drive it easily. The premises also has a café "Kuri to Sora" that sells Sweets made from Japanese chestnuts. Among them, Montblanc Soft seems to be very Popular. Please stop by the café for healing your trip. You can enjoy the scenery that you don't usually see. When you come to Kikuchi City, please enjoy your bicycle trip.

Good evening everyone!
This is the Minami Town Tourism Association.

Today (July 7, 2025), the maximum temperature of 37.7°C was observed in the Hiwasa area of Minami Town.
Surprisingly, it was the highest temperature in the history of observation in July.
Recent summers have been too hot.
At times like this, you want to swim as much as you can to cool off!

So, this time, I would like to introduce "Tainohama Beaches" located in the Tai district of Minami Town! !!

Tainohama Beaches is a beautiful white sand Beaches with a length of about 1.5 km There is a Tai, Minami Town, Kaibu District, Tokushima Prefecture (formerly Tai, Yuki Town).
The area is a coast area included in the Muroto-Anan Coast National Park, and Tainohama is formed at the far end of a small cove.
Although it faces the Pacific Ocean, thanks to the Uninhabited island called Nunoshima Island in front, the waves are calm, and the shallow sandy area continues, creating favorable conditions as a Beaches.

Tainohama Beaches is also famous for its outstanding water quality!
In the Water Beaches quality inspection Implementation by the Ministry of the Environment, the highest Water of "AA" is issued every year, and it is said that the safe and transparent sea is One of the Best in western Japan.
In 2006, it was selected as one of the "One of the Best 100 Pleasant Bathing Spots in Japan" comfortable Water baths in Japan selected by the Ministry of the Environment.
Thanks to this, it is sometimes called "Yuki is Tainohama!", and it is crowded with many Families every year.

Other, as a feature of Tainohama Beaches, "Tainohama Station" is set up as a temporary station of JR Shikoku and Mugi Line every year during the Bathing in the sea season.
(The third photo was taken at the opening Events of Tainohama Station in 2024)

You can jump into the sea as soon as you get off, that's Tainohama Beaches! !!

Today (7/10), I had the opportunity 😆 to cover the hop harvest It was my first time to see a hop field this year, but... It was ✨✨ spectacular Healthy dark green leaves on straight stems, hop berries that are bell-shaped...! "It's a shame to see this scene today!" I looked at 👀 it with the Production Preparations are ready, and it's time to 💪 harvest It is difficult 💦 to remove the wires that support it because there are so many fruits I'm going to put the harvested hops in a bag, but I don't think they'll fit in the truck I'm going to put on today Squid ... It was an amount that made 😂 me worry Processing these hops into a beer 🍺 with a fresh aroma I drank it last year, and it was a beer that I 😆👍 could drink with a refreshing aroma I'm 😍 looking forward to this year's beer.

Notice of the end of the After Hydrangea Festival The hydrangea floating in the water tank around the monument at the Izukyu Shimoda Station Rotary was well received by many customers, and although it was fleeting, they Fun the beautiful sight💐✨ The exhibition was originally scheduled to run until Tuesday, July 16, but due to the severe heat of the day, it was decided to withdraw on the evening of Friday, July 11. This exhibition, which was the first of its kind, was a trial under three conditions: hydrangeas that are past their best time to visit in the park, high temperatures in traditional Japanese straw raincoat in the middle of summer, and water, while worrying about how beautiful they would be. We have taken all possible measures, such as replacing flowers and opening water tanks, but it is difficult to maintain the beauty for a long time in the midsummer sun, so we have decided to finish earlier than planned. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to it, and thank you for your understanding. The next pleasure in Shimoda is Bathing in the sea 🏖️ Please continue to enjoy Shimoda to the fullest🌊🍧🎐

Minami Furano, Shintoku, Shikaoi I made a pamphlet in three neighboring towns 📕 In the middle of Hokkaido, we introduce delicious Gourmet food made with good trees, good water, good snow, the blessings of nature, and a variety of activities experiences. This pamphlet is not only packed with the charm of the three towns on National Route 38 and 274, Each town is color-coded and easy to see. You can catch detailed Information by searching with the QR code on the page. The colors of each of the three towns are... Minamifurano Town - "Swaying lavender🪻 of Lake Kanayama" Shintoku Town – "The deep blues🫐 of Lake Sahoro" Shikaoi Town - "Transparent Aqua Marine 💚 of Lake Shirabetsu" The overall use of gentle colors and the matte and elegant paper texture make it a pamphlet that you can feel Commitment. As digitization progresses, it is a retrograde paper pamphlet, but I would like you to pick it up once and turn the page. (Personally, I would like 💡 you to pay attention to the sound of turning the page.) It seems unusual for neighboring towns to have a joint pamphlet. So when you come to the Roadside Station or the Tourism Association Window, please pick it up, look at it, and touch it!
