Senninzuka Park Campsite \Campsite information for Iijimamachi, Nagano Prefecture/ This quiet campsite offers stunning, ever-changing views of the Central Alps reflected on the lake surface. Senninzuka Park is a nature park located in the Shichikubo district of Iijimamachi. In the Sengoku period there was a mountain castle called Kitayama Castle nearby. A legend says the castle fell to an Oda clan invasion and the soldiers who died there, along with their arms, were buried at this site. That is why the place came to be called Senninzuka, meaning "Thousand-Person Mound." Today you can enjoy cherry blossoms around Jōga Pond, an auto campsite, a mallet golf course, and different activities by season. Winter camping is also possible. Mysterious Cute Dango Fish 🍡 As the name suggests, it has a round body like a dango and eyes with crisp eyes. With its tiny and adorable appearance, the dango fish captures the hearts of divers every year. He is now an idol in the ❤️ diving world During this season, when the appearance rate increases from winter to spring, social media is filled with photos of dango. There are a wide variety of colors such as red, green, and pink, and one of the One of the attractions is that they show different expressions as they grow! !️ Baby Dango Exclusive! Circle 👼 of Angels Juvenile dango fish are only about 3~5 mm small. What can only be seen at that time of year is the pattern on the head called the "angel ring". This white ring, exclusive to Baby Dango, disappears as it grows, making it Popular with camera divers! !️📷👍 Please look for winter idols ❤️

“Kitagawa Onsen Moon Road” Kitagawa Onsen Moon Road was selected as one of Japan’s One Hundred Famous Moon Views as a moon to be treasured for generations. For three days around the full moon, on nights when the moon shines especially bright, a lunar path—the Moon Road—appears as moonlight paints a path across the sea. This scene is unique to Higashiizu, where the town’s entire east coast faces the ocean. On the night of the full moon many visitors come with cameras to capture the view. Experience a mysterious moment long spoken of in local legend: “If you pray on the Moon Road under a shining moon, your wish will come true…” Come and see it for yourself. At Izu Kitagawa Onsen, a representative spot for viewing the Moon Road, the “Nekosai Day” event is held on every full moon. “Nekosai” refers to a fixed-net fishery, and Nekosai Day offers prayers for the safety and big catches of fixed-net fishermen, with free charcoal-grilled fish served to visitors. Enjoy this full-moon hospitality in Izu Kitagawa, Higashiizu. (In 2025, Nekosai Day begins on the full moon of February 12.) For details about “Kitagawa Onsen Moon Road” and “Nekosai Day,” please check the Kitagawa Onsen Ryokan Association website. https://www.hokkawa-onsen.com/mangetsu_nekosainohi...

Today, Sunday, January 12, the 40th Donton-yaki festival was held at Atami Sun Beach. This annual event is a long-standing tradition jointly organized by the ten neighborhood associations of the eastern and central districts. This year too, residents and tourists gathered to circle the piled New Year decorations called an ‘onbe’. At 11:00 a Shinto ceremony was performed by Chief Priest Amemiya of Kinomiya Shrine, and after the ritual the priest lit the fire. The ‘onbe’ blazed up vigorously as everyone prayed for health, academic success, prosperous business, and protection from fires. The photos look a bit dark, but it was actually sunny! Tourists who happened to pass by also stopped to watch this traditional New Year event.

There are plenty of bait sales and fishing rod rentals, so even beginners can easily get started! Please come in warm clothes, and 🧣 shoes are recommended to wear rubber boots or winter boots to prevent snow from entering. \Accommodation information for Iijimamachi, Nagano Prefecture/ [Lodging × Hair Salon] muir (Mūa) A 40-year-old, sturdy vacant house with a pronounced gable-roof style. Its nostalgic yet reassuring Showa-era charm is too precious to tear down. A travel-loving husband-and-wife hairdresser team who moved here poured in every value they learned while living abroad, and gradually carried out a self-renovation. They turned the wish “If only a place like this existed” into reality. Get a cut and head spa during a drive or touring trip. Use it as a reunion base for meeting friends after a long time. Or stay as a relaxed place to catch your breath. Perfect for those looking for a salon with natural-focused menus Address: 843-1 Shichikubo, Iijimamachi, Kamiina County, Nagano Prefecture Website: https://www.muirjapan.com//
