I love cherry blossom and autumn colors both. Surprisingly today during my afternoon walk, I got a wonderful opportunity to see both of them at the same time. It was an truly amazing experience. These photos were taken in Wako city of Saitama prefecture.

Some more photos I took at Asukayama Park the other day. I really liked this statue of Avalokitesvara, as I felt like it was really well crafted. I included the description to this monument as it's hard to read what is carved onto the stone and it's written in older Japanese too so my friends couldn't even read it lol. I think it has something to do with a poem about cherry blossoms although I could be wrong about that. It's pretty cool seeing the older Japanese from hundreds of years ago though. Even if I can't read it it's interesting to see how the Japanese language itself has evolved throughout the years. I'll be posting more photos of this place tomorrow as well!

I thought this was a really nice article and video. I hadn't heard about Utase ships or Utase fishing before. I mentioned the other day in a post about the Edo-Tokyo Museum how I really liked seeing the architecture of the ships and just happened to come across this today. I love how you can see a full broadside view of the ship and its sails. Apparently there are a bunch of different varieties of sails and different numbers used depending on the size, etc. of the ship. I've never had the opportunity to go to Kumamoto sadly, but I'd like to see this in action if I get the chance. I've seen a lot of photos of Kumamoto Castle as well, so that's definitely something I'd be checking out if I visited. I'd like to do it in the spring to see the cherry blossoms as well.

It is a village of cherry blossoms in Obara Village, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture. The blooming time of the four seasons cherry blossoms is autumn, so it is the only place in the Japan where you can see the autumn leaves and cherry blossoms together.

Some photos I took at Nijo Castle in spring 2018. You can see the cherry blossoms in some of the photos just starting to bloom, but not quite in full bloom, and the rest of the gardens were really enjoyable as well. I really liked the gold decorations/designs on the buildings. The gate was also really cool. I believe it's called Karamon Gate although I'm not 100% sure on that. The moat around the castle was pretty neat as well, I can imagine it was a strong fortification, especially since it belonged to Tokugawa Ieyasu, although I'm not entirely sure about the rest of the castle's history. The photos of the moat and surrounding area were taken from on top of a small vantage point, and I wonder if it was originally some sort of turret, but I'm not sure about that either. Either way, I definitely recommend giving it a visit to anyone in Kyoto or anyone planning to visit Kyoto. I believe it was relatively close to the Golden Pavilion as well, so if you have the chance, why not?

Night cherry blossoms taken locally in spring. It was a little high, and when I went up the stairs, there was a tunnel of cherry blossoms at night that was lit up. The bright pink of the cherry blossoms was so shiny that it didn't make you feel the night. I couldn't take my time cherry blossom viewing in Corona, but when Corona is over, I would like to see cherry blossoms together.

I've never seen a cherry blossom more beautiful than this. I hope that the day will return when everyone can see the cherry blossoms with a smile without worrying about anything.

During the 18-ticket season, I was on a roulette trip in Shizuoka Prefecture with my friends a bind to always take one photo at the station where I left with roulette, and I took a photo at Kannan Station! Everyone was struggling with nothing, so I'm glad I had a pocket watch! I want to do it again ́. ✪ω✪｡ `

Beautiful view, looks like Mt. Yoshino if I'm not mistaken? Either way, I totally agree. Can't wait for corona to be over so I can finally take my mask off and walk around and smell the fresh air. During the spring when the cherry blossoms were in bloom I was walking on a street with cherry blossoms and took my mask off for a second no one was around and I realized it was the first time I'd had my mask off outside all spring. Smelling the cherry blossoms was amazing, just a full year of wearing a mask and you nearly forget what nature smells like. Hopefully, come spring next year I'll be able to walk outside and smell the cherry blossoms and whatever else is blooming in the area. I'd love to be able to go traveling again just like normal and be able to take in not just the sights and sounds, but the smells as well. Until then, just gotta keep hanging in there! Edit: This is Takami no Sato, not Mt. Yoshino. I was mistaken. They look very similar though!

It is a scenery with drooping cherry trees that are over 300 years old. It is very beautiful to see the peaches and cherry blossoms blooming profusely. I want many people to see the strength of this cherry blossom in After Corona.

The sight of the mountains dyed pink with drooping cherry blossoms in full bloom is a masterpiece. After Corona, I want to take off my mask and breathe in the fresh mountain air as much as possible.

Wow what a cool sight! I've been out to Nagatoro and Chichibu and went on a riverboat ride and I think I remember the guy pushing the boat saying something about there being icicles there during the winter. I'd love to go back and see it sometime as this looks really amazing. Also we wanted to try the kayaking in Nagatoro as well since the water was too low when we went and the boat we rode on couldn't go as far downriver. I guess they have some skiing there as well, I'm not sure if it's connected to the ropeway at all, but that's another cool thing to do in the area. The mountain is really beautiful and I think there's probably a good amount of cherry blossoms if you go in the spring. I'd like to explore Chichibu more though as I hear there's a pilgrimage there where you can see temples and shrines and stuff.

This looks like a really cool place to visit in Yamanashi if you're heading over to Mt. Fuji or the five lakes. Apparently this place Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba was destroyed by a landslide caused by a typhoon in the 60s but was rebuilt some 40 years later. Looks like there's a bunch of stuff to do as well: museums, galleries, craft making experiences, etc. I'm curious as to whether or not the thatched roofs are constructed the same way as the Gassho-zukuri roofs of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, as they look very similar. I bet it'd look really nice in the winter when it snows and there's also cherry blossoms in the area so that'd be nice for visiting in the spring. Looks fun!
