Matsuzaki Town, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture is located in the southern part of the Izu Peninsula, facing Nishiizu Town, Kawazu Town, Shimoda Town, and Minami Izu Town. Sixty-four percent of the town is forested, and the population is the smallest in Shizuoka Prefecture, with about 6,000 people. We will send you recommended information on Matsuzaki Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, which is surrounded by nature, which is the best place to spend a peaceful time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. === Sightseeing spots in Matsuzaki, Shizuoka === There are many popular sightseeing spots in Matsuzaki that you should visit! Ishibe Terraced Rice Field, a beautiful stone terraced rice field that conveys the traditional agricultural landscape of Japan to the present day, Chohachi Memorial Hall, which exhibits the works of Chohachi Irie, who was famous for his stucco paintings at the end of the Edo period, Namako Kabe Street, where a building made by the technique of stretching square flat tiles on the wall and raising the seams into a kamaboko shape with plaster, Matsuzaki Onsen, where you can spend a luxurious time at a day-trip hot spring, minshuku, or hotel, Matsuzaki Town is full of recommended sightseeing spots, such as the "Inashimo Shrine", where the 1,000-year-old ginkgo tree in the precincts is designated as a prefectural designated natural monument. The Izu Peninsula, where Matsuzaki Town is located, has been certified as a "Japan Geopark" for its topography and geology, which characteristically show traces of earth activity such as submarine volcanoes, and in Matsuzaki Town, there are geospots such as "Senganmon", "Muroiwa Cave", "Mt. Eboshi", "Ishibe Rice Terraces", and "Bentenjima", where you can feel the wonders of nature firsthand. === Recommended gourmet food in Matsuzaki, Shizuoka === When you visit Matsuzaki Town, you can't miss the gourmet food that can only be tasted here. About 70% of the cherry leaf pickles, where you can enjoy the traditional taste, are produced in Matsuzaki Town. Matsuzaki-cho has a wealth of gastronomy that will make foodies groan, such as the uniquely flavored "kawari" that grows in the clear river near the mouth of the Nakagawa River and the Iwashina River, the fresh "sweetfish" that is also caught in the Nakagawa River and the Iwashina River, the sweet and juicy "Eikyu Ponkan" original from Matsuzaki Town that is produced only in Matsuzaki Town, and the "Dioscorea japonica" that is grown with the blessings of nature in Matsuzaki Town. Souvenirs are also recommended. === Recommended Events in Matsuzaki, Shizuoka === Events and festivals held throughout the year are also one of the attractions of Matsuzaki Town. 【Isehara Flower Information】2024.02.02 Ume Plum Blossom ・ Hyuga Yakushi ... It is beginning to bloom ・ Sports park ... It's the best time to see it ・Maruyama Castle Park... It's the best time to see it Under the cold sky, which is completely different from yesterday, the red Ume plum blossoms are in full bloom. In the precincts of Hyuga Yakushi, beautiful drooping Ume plums are planted, and the appearance side by side with the lanterns is tasteful. There is a Ume plum orchard in the back mountain. Small and pretty white Ume plums are beginning to bloom here and there. I found a Ume plum tree in a sloping place in the sports park. This is also a bright pink red Ume plum. There are cherry blossom trees around it, and it is a spot where you can enjoy flowers throughout spring. Maruyama Castle Park is lined with Ume plum trees that seem to be more than 3 meters tall. The overlapping of the petals is beautiful. Some people enjoyed taking a walk.

【Tomorrow is Setsubun Festival】 It will be held at three shrines in Isehara City. ・ Oyama Afuri Shrine Shimosha ... Only for related parties and those who have applied ・ Sannomiya Hibita Shrine ... Oban maki 10 o'clock ~ ・ 12 o'clock ~ ・ 15 o'clock ~ ・ Isehara Daijingu Shrine ... Mamemaki bean throwing 15 o'clock ~ Oni is outside~, good fortune is inside~! It is an event to pray for a healthy and happy life this year and to exorcise evil spirits. There is a saying that if you eat as many times as your age, you will be happy. At three shrines in Isehara City, a grand mamemaki bean throwing is held in the precincts. A bean-sowing officer dressed as an event priest lines up on a special stage and scatters lucky beans all at once with shouts. It contains beans and lotteries stored in a baby bag, and local children pick them up with great enthusiasm. At Hibita Shrine, the Oni Yarai Shinto ritual is a highlight. It has become a traditional event. By the way, if you sow beans in the house, won't one of the beans you sowed at the end of the year cleaning come out? For details, please see the website of the Isehara City Tourism Association.

Yesterday, the 34th Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival, the earliest event in Honshu where you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing, has opened. At night, the pink cherry blossoms are beautifully lit up. Please enjoy the arrival of spring one step ahead. In this post, we will introduce sightseeing spots in Kawazu Town that you can enjoy together with the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival! This time, I would like to introduce "Hatcho Pond". Enjoy a stroll on the hiking trail Amagi Volcano erupted repeatedly about 20~800,000 years ago. Hatcho Pond on top of Mt. Amagi, and water accumulates there. On the gentle slopes of Amagi Volcano around the pond, primeval forests such as beech and Himeshara spread, and you can enjoy a walk. ◆ Detailed information ◆ 【Spot name】Hatcho Pond 【Address】Nashimoto, Kawazu Town, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture 【Parking】None ◇ ◆ ◇ Parking information for those who come to the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival by car ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ About the parking lot ◆ Business hours:8:30~21:00 ・Regular car ●Regular car 4 ~ 13 parking lot about 700 ~ 800m to the station front venue, about 700 ~ 800m to the mine hot spring venue [Daytime] 8:30~17:00・・・1 car / 1,000 yen [Night] 18:00~21:00・・・1 car / 200 yen ・Heavy-duty vehicles ●Large 1 and 2 parking lots: about 700 ~ 800 m to the front of the station, about 700 ~ 800 m to the mine hot spring venue [Daytime] 8:30~17:00・・・1 car / 5,000 yen [Night] 18:00~21:00・・・1 car / 1,000 yen

NICE TO MEET EVERYONE WHO WATCHES COOL JAPAN VIDEOS! This is the Kawasaki City Tourism Association. We will guide you through the charm of the city that will make you want to visit Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Best regards! ◆◆◆ What is Kawasaki City ◆◆◆ Kawasaki City is located in the northeastern part of Kanagawa Prefecture, between Tokyo and Yokohama, and is a vibrant city with a population of about 1.54 million as of April 2023 Reiwa 5. Since it is adjacent to Tokyo, it has flourished as a transportation hub since ancient times. It has both the aspect of an industrial zone and the aspect of a city where nature and culture coexist. Kawasaki City has a long history, and in the Edo period, it flourished as one of the 53 Tokaido roads. In addition, Kawasaki Daishi Heiken-ji Temple has been crowded with worshippers since ancient times, and about 3 million people visit Kawasaki Daishi for the first time alone, and the number of first-time worshippers in 2023 is the third highest in Japan after Meiji Jingu Shrine and Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. Currently, the King Sky Front, which creates new industries based on world-class research, with a focus on the life sciences and environmental fields, is located right in front of Haneda Airport, making it a hub for open innovation. ◆◆◆ Introduction of sightseeing spots in Kawasaki City ◆◆◆ Here are some of the most popular tourist spots in Kawasaki City, albeit briefly. ◇ Tokaido Kawasaki Hostel Exchange Center You can learn about the history of the area at a facility that conveys the atmosphere that flourished as a post town "Kawasaki-juku" on the 53rd line of the Tokaido Highway. ◇Kawasaki Ukiyo-e Gallery It is a museum that exhibits valuable ukiyo-e prints that are highly regarded both in Japan and abroad, directly connected to the north exit of JR Kawasaki Station. ◇ Ikuta Ryokuchi It is the largest urban park in Kawasaki City and is popular as an urban oasis. Admission is free, and many cherry blossom viewers visit as a famous place for cherry blossoms in the spring season. ◇Kawasaki City Fujiko F. Fujio Museum It is a facility where you can experience the world of the works of the national manga artist "Fujiko F. Fujio-sensei" who created "Doraemon". In addition to Japanese, voice guidance is available in four languages: English, Chinese, and Korean, so foreign tourists visiting Japan can enjoy it with confidence. ◇Kawasui Kawasaki Aquarium It is a new sensation entertainment aquarium that opened in front of Kawasaki Station in July 2020. Inside the museum, the beautiful watersides of the world are reproduced, and various creatures are exhibited. ◇ Todoroki Ryokuchi It is a park located almost in the center of Kawasaki City, and it is an urban park with facilities such as Todoroki track and field stadium, the home of Kawasaki Frontale of the J1 soccer team, and tennis courts. ◆◆◆ Kawasaki City Factory Night View ◆◆◆ The night view of the factories on the "Metropolitan Expressway Kanagawa No. 6 Kawasaki Line", "Ogibashi", and "around the Shiohama Canal" in Kawasaki City, which has developed as an industrial zone, creates a fantastic contrast of light and shadow, creating a otherworldly scenery. The factory night view cruise, where you can see the night view of the factory area such as the Keihin Industrial Area from the boat, is also popular, and you can enjoy the scenery that can only be experienced here. ◆◆◆ Events and festivals in Kawasaki City ◆◆◆ ◇Kawasaki Daishi Wind Chime City It is a festival that represents Kawasaki City, which is held every year in July, and is popular as a summer tradition. The cool sound of about 30,000 wind chimes of 900 types gathered from all over the country heals visitors. ◇Kawasaki Sanno Festival It is the largest festivals in the Kawasaki area, held every August at Inage Shrine, and the highlight is the Great Mikoshi Shrine. In addition, the "Ancient Miyaza Ceremony," a ceremony in which dishes using ancient cooking methods are offered to the gods, is designated as a Kanagawa Prefectural Folk Cultural Property. Kawasaki City is a fascinating city full of unique landscapes where history, rich nature, and advanced industrial areas coexist. Please visit this wonderful city and experience it all. The area around Kawasaki Station is constantly being reborn as a new city in a new history, but when you step into the alley, you will see a row of bars full of Showa retro. We also recommend a trip to find your favorite store in Kawasaki City! We will continue to deliver tourist information about Kawasaki City to everyone, so thank you.
