COOL JAPAN VIDEOS Photo Contest PR
Dec. 1, 2022
Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce "Hitoshi Matsubuchi's post "Yokote kamakura" in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture". The beautiful pillow and the scenery of the snow sparkling are fantastic. The Yokote Snow Festival Yokote no Yuki Matsuri held in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture in the Tohoku region is held every February as a small New Year event dedicated to the god of water. One of the most popular events in the festival is the Yokote Kamakura. About 100 kamakura with a height of about 3 meters will be made throughout the city. In addition to large kamakura made by craftsmen, there are also mini kamakura made by local elementary school students. Also, in the kamakura, children serve amazake and mochi. It is a traditional festival full of snow country atmosphere that is said to have a history of more than 450 years. In 2023, it is scheduled to be held on February 15 and 16. In order to hold some of the festivals with a reduced number of contents, please check the official website for details. Around Yokote City, there are plenty of hot spring inns such as "Akimiya Hot Spring Village". In conjunction with the festival, why not plan a trip where you can enjoy the nature and taste of Akita Prefecture? ◆Yokote Snow Festival◆ 【Access】 10-minute walk from JR Ou Main Line Yokote Station Free kamakura venue shuttle bus available 17:40~21:00

It is "Yokote kamakura" in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture. "Kamakura" is a small New Year's event dedicated to the god of water, and children among the kamakura shout "Enter! They talk to tourists and treat them with mochi and amazake.
This photo is from the "Kamakura" photo session venue, but the best position was super full and I regretted being late, but if I dared to take it from a position where no one was looking, I was able to take a really nice photo and I was very satisfied with the "Kamakura" photo.

"Mizutamaten" In the summer of Kamakura, the warm weather of Mizutama colors the city. My works of pulp art and washi art were exhibited at the Kamakura Sculpture Museum. We displayed it using Japanese paper dyed according to the color of Mizutamaten so that the work could be seen beautifully from the wide window. I was happy that everyone at the Kamakura Sculpture Museum and craftsmen kindly welcomed me from different genres. Even after the Mizutamaten period, they held a special exhibition with the craftsmen of Kamakura carving, and many people saw the works. Thank you very much. The Kamakura Sculpture Museum is about a 5-minute walk from Enoden Wadazuka Station toward the sea. In the hall, works elaborate by craftsmen are exhibited and sold. You can also experience it if you make a reservation. Please come to Kamakura. ♪ Highly recommended 〒248-0014 3-4-7 Yuigahama, Kamakura City secretariat TEL 0467 23-0154 >>>>> Open Tuesday ~ Friday 9:30~16:30 Sat/Sun・Holidays 11:00~16:00 Regular holiday : Monday If Monday is a national holiday, Tuesday is closed ◆We will be closed for about a week during the year-end and New Year holidays, spring, and summer. [English/Japanese ]The signboard at Hachioji Station changes its cute illustrations with the seasons. For example, March is the Doll Festival, June is boots, August is a festival, and so on. My favorite is the Setsubun design for February. I always look forward to seeing the next illustration. The signboard of Hachioji Station has cute illustrations that change depending on the season. For example, there is a Hina Festival in March, a rubber boots festival in June, and a festival in August. What I like the most is the design of Setsubun in February. Wanted to post this earlier this week, but better late than never I suppose. Was walking around Arakawa and they were having a rose festival sort of event it seemed like. Over by Arakawa Amusement Park there was a little area set up with some stalls. I didn't get to check it out but it seemed like there were a lot of people there. The amusement park was also open. I don't think I've seen it open for a while so it was nice to see people are able to visit it again. When I was passing the Arakawa tram I noticed there were tons of roses along the sides of the track that I'd never noticed before so I decided to snap this photo of the pink tram passing by with them.
