Good morning! 🌞 Continuing our series, we introduce Furosen at Setouchi Kominka Stays Hiroshima, a traditional house inn in Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Furosen sits in Kamitani, a town of terraced rice fields and houses in Shobara City. According to legend, an immortal sage once lived in this valley, and the house stands at the valley’s innermost point, atop the highest terraced field as if it grew from the land itself. In this secluded valley, only vast green hills and birdsong break the silence. Misty dawns, dusks sinking into deep blue, nights filled with the moon and stars. The valley’s seasonal beauty brings profound calm and healing. The spacious 200 m2 house on a broad plot features a clean, white-based interior. Spend time losing yourself in the valley view from the front garden chairs where you can enjoy a BBQ, lounge freely on a Yogibo sofa in the living room, or laze on the engawa that connects to the scenery. At night, relax in the large indoor bath with gently drawn hot water or soak under a sky full of stars in the open-air Goemon-style bath—unique pleasures of Furosen. This inn lets you fully savor the mountain village’s beauty in complete privacy, a feeling you appreciate most by staying overnight. About a 30-minute drive away, you’ll find many leisure facilities, restaurants, and cafes. Within an hour you can reach Izumo or Onomichi, so you can plan flexibly according to your mood and the weather. Facilities provided: cooking utensils, tableware, basic seasonings, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, stove, kettle, water server, audio speakers, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial cleanser, shaving foam, body towel, brush, hairdryer, toothbrush set, face towels, bath towels, razor, cotton swabs, lotion, yukata (casual robe), slippers, and Wi-Fi. 🌳Old Farmhouse in the Forest Series🌳 Yamashigi Forest A 140-year-old farmhouse stands on a sky-high site at 650 meters above sea level. There are two buildings: Shitashigi, built in the Taisho era, and Nakashigi, built in the Meiji era. A gentle forest breeze 🍃 flows through, making this a pleasant place to be. Nearby you will find tea fields, bamboo groves, and orchards, and a variety of hands-on activities let you experience mountain village life. Capacity: 2 buildings, 15 people each, total 30 people Facilities: Goemon bath, kamado hearth, irori sunken hearth *The Goemon bath and kamado hearth are available only in Shitashigi.* ◎Experiences 📍Tea picking and pan-roasted tea making The tea fields in the valley have their picking season every May. Around that time, Yama Gakkou offers tours where you can pick tea and make pan-roasted tea. Pan-roasted tea grown in Yamashigi Forest is also sold as Yamashigi Tea at places such as Donko-tei and Morokko House. 📍Ume picking and ume preparations The two plum trees have long been indispensable to daily life. In Morotsuka, households prepare ume (plums) for year-round consumption. Learning these ume preparations is a popular part of the Yama Gakkou tours. Ume syrup and pickled ume are both big hits. 📍Yuzu harvesting and yuzu processing From autumn into winter, yuzu take center stage. Whether picked green or after they turn yellow, they each serve a wonderful purpose. This is another staple of the Yama Gakkou tours held at Yamashigi Forest. A few years ago, at university, I became a licensed nurse and midwife. After graduating from university, I got a job in my Local Niigata. Due to the declining birthrate and aging population, the number of babies born is small, and the recruitment of midwives is low, so I decided to build a career as a nurse instead of a midwife. The profession of a nurse not only supports the daily lives of people facing illness, but also heals people's hearts at times, and at other times, it is wonderful to be involved in people's lives themselves. As a nurse, I also had a very fully equipped life. However, my longing for the profession of "midwife," which I had studied hard for and obtained a qualification for, did not disappear, and somewhere in my heart, my desire to take on the challenge became stronger. Just as I was thinking about changing jobs to a midwife, I found a very beautiful row of cherry blossom trees in my Local Nagaoka area. In the sunset, the cherry blossoms that were just beginning to bloom caught my eye. It was warm and dignified, like a baby born into this world. At that time, I felt encouraged by the cherry blossoms and decided to take on the challenge of becoming a midwife. This photo is of the cherry blossoms that gave me the final push after my struggle. You only live once, and I want to do what I like and want to do to the fullest, and enjoy my seemingly long and short life to the fullest.

Experience the whole Spring Nature! 🌿🇯🇵 The "blue world" I encountered in Nishi-Izu and Pyeongtaek The other day, we held in an experience diving and fun dive tour in Pyeongtaek, Nishi-Izu. On this day, we were blessed with good weather, and it was 🌞 a great day to enjoy the whole Spring Nature First of all, in the Water, we were greeted by a "seaweed forest" that can only be seen in Only now. The fantastic scenery of softly swaying seaweed makes you feel as if you have wandered into a fantasy world under water. The transparency is also high, making it an environment where even first-timers can enjoy diving with peace of mind. Limited time scenery unique to this time of year will Impression you no matter how many times you see it. And when I looked up from the water, Mount Fuji 🗻 clearly appeared there In Nishi-Izu in Spring, when the air is clear, there are many days when Mt. Mount Fuji looks very beautiful, and you can enjoy the luxurious collaboration of diving and Mount Fuji. It is a unique attraction of this place that you can feel the "Spring of Japan" both in water and on land. On this day, we also stopped at 🌸 the Nemophila flower garden The nemophila flowers that spread all over the blue are beautiful 💙🩵 as if they are connected to the color of the sea Nature gives you the feeling that your mind is naturally aligned by being surrounded by a gradation of blue. Experience diving at Hokule'a Shonan is held in all year round, Whether you want to practice slowly in the pool or want to challenge yourself in the sea from the beginning, you can choose 😊 your favorite style For first-timers, we will give a careful lecture on how to use the equipment, so please feel free to participate. Why don't you spend time facing yourself while experiencing the Spring Nature and the beauty of the sea? Hello everyone! This is Kōshū Inden, Yamanashi Traditional Crafts Village, located in Shosenkyo Gorge. Right now, Shosenkyo Gorge is wrapped in vivid fresh greenery around the fountain, and it’s truly the season when nature’s beauty stands out. On clear days, the deep blue sky contrasts beautifully with the lively green, making you stop in your tracks to take it in. The sound of the fountain and the pleasant breeze add to the atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a Golden Week stroll. At our shop, we showcase many traditional crafts from Yamanashi. One highlight is the recently launched natural stone polishing experience! Choose your favorite natural stone and gradually polish it—the process feels like discovering a little treasure. Watching the stone become shiny is so absorbing that both adults and children get completely caught up in it. Create a travel memory or enjoy it while waiting for your meal. Come and try it for yourself. We sincerely look forward to welcoming you.

Mount Jōnen as seen from Azumino under a stretch of clear weather If you look closely, you can spot the snow pattern called “Jōnenbō” on the mountain’s slope Can you make out the figure of a monk wearing a kasaya robe and carrying a sake flask? People long ago used this snow pattern as a seasonal cue for tasks such as sowing seeds and planting rice seedlings, weaving it into their daily lives Azumino is now just entering the rice-planting season

[Kanagawa] Hokule'a Shonan / 5 Star PADI Scuba Dive Center
May. 2, 2025
[Diving in Nishi-Izu and Tago! ] To a blue world with a transparency of more than 15 meters] Hello! This is 🌸 Hokule'a Shonan The other day, I went to the popular diving spot "Tago" in Nishi-Izu! Tago is a particularly popular area in Nishi-Izu, which is known for its rich nature and dynamic terrain. Access is a little far, but it is still understandable that there are many repeat customers who say, "It's worth going!" The sea on this day was more than 15 meters transparent! The moment you enter, you can't help but exclaim, "Wow!" at the beauty of the water. Just swimming in the clear blue sea with sparkling sunlight was a feeling that soothed my heart. And the highlight is a flock of snapdragons. Against the rocky backdrop, countless orange fish dance like a blizzard of flowers in the water. The water temperature was stable, the seaweed was growing, and the "water landscape only just now" was ✨ spreading At Hokule'a Shonan, we will guide you to diving spots that are "in season now!" at that time of year and on each day. Of course, the selection of points according to the request and the polite guide with a small number of people are also popular. Even first-timers and those with blanks can participate 😊 with confidence "Even if it's a little far away, I want to be healed by seeing the beautiful sea." "I want to encounter a scenery that can only be seen now." For such people, Tago diving is highly recommended! 🌟point🌟 ✔️ Day trip possible from the suburbs of Tokyo (early morning departure) ✔️ Safe and comfortable diving with a small number of people ✔️ Guided by an experienced instructor For those who want to be healed by the beauty of the sea, the current Tago no Kai is really recommended! Let's 🏝 go together and enjoy the view of the sea that you can only meet now #TagoDiving #NishiIzuDive #ScubaDivingJapan #HiddenGemsOfJapan #ExploreJapanUnderwater #HokuleaShonan #SmallGroupDiving #DivingNearTokyo #ColorfulReefFish #AnthiasParadise
