[Kanagawa] Hokule'a Shonan / 5 Star PADI Scuba Dive Center
Sep. 1, 2025
Hello! This is 🤗 Hokule'a Shonan This time, I went diving in Futo, a popular Spot in Higashiizu! Tomito is a place that can be reached by Day trip from the Kanto region, There is a it is ✨ one of the most popular beaches in the Higashi-Izu diving Spot On this day, we were 👍 divided into an OW (Open Water) training team and a fun dive team. The transparency, which was a little down, was recovering quickly and I was able 😄 to dive very comfortably. August is coming to an end, but the midsummer days are still ongoing. After all, the sea looks best 🏝 in summer. Of course, the coolness of the air conditioner is comfortable, but the time to jump into the sea in front of you and cool off while soaking up the sun is the most luxurious moment 🐠 of all. The moment you put your face on the surface of the water, it is a blissful time. In the sparkling water, a flock of Solas damselfish unique to Higashi-Izu Unfolds. The scene is a healing space that you will want to look at forever, and it will make you 🤿 feel the charm of diving again. And what I would like to recommend in Tomito is "Tomito Hall". The terrain is like a small cave, and on a clear day, the light shines through, making you 🌟 feel like you're exploring a small cave. If you were too busy to go diving in the summer, don't worry! Tomito, which can be reached on a day trip from the Kanto region, is the perfect sea for the upcoming hot season. It is a diving Spot that even beginners can participate in with confidence, so it is recommended to start obtaining Sense and fun dives at this time. 🌈 Hokule'a Shonan is a PADI 5 Star diving center located in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The theme is "Let's go on a journey to a world we haven't seen yet!" We help you discover the wonders and joys of Nature through diving. Held in diving courses and tours for more than 300 days a year in Izu, Okinawa, overseas, etc., and the small group system makes beginners feel safe. We can also make a plan according to your request, so please feel free to contact us 🫧. Even if you missed the summer, the residual heat continues. Why don't you take this opportunity to experience diving in Higashi-Izu and Tomito? 🌊 #DiveJapan #JapanDiving #FutoDiving #EastIzu #DayTripFromTokyo #BeginnerFriendly #SmallGroupDiving #EnglishFriendly #DiscoverScuba #ExploreTheBlue #OceanLovers #UnseenWorld

Kitamaebune Shipowners’ Street runs along the Shiokaze Line. Here stands the Ukon House, a Kitamaebune shipowner’s residence designated as a Japan Heritage site. The building I’m introducing this time is the Western-style house a few steps up from the Ukon House. What view opens up from the second-floor veranda? That’s a surprise to enjoy when you visit. . When you come to the Ukon House, be sure to climb up to the Western-style house on Kitamaebune Shipowners’ Street for a different experience—the unique scenery you can only see here awaits you. https://www.minamiechizen.com/en/feature/64468/...

Diving connects the 🌏 world Hello. This is 🤗 Hokule'a Shonan The other day, I went to the popular diving spot "Izu Marine Park (IOP)" in Higashi-Izu. This time, we had guests from Spain and guests from the United States living in Japan. It was a 🤿✨ very international dive On the day of the dive, we were divided into two teams: the experience diving team and the fun dive team. The experience diving team started by snorkeling and getting used to the sea. Scene observed colorful fish in a shallow area with high transparency, and the guests seemed 😄 to be having a lot of fun After that, I tried to breathe in water for the first time. I was a little nervous at first, but I soon got used to it and was able to dive calmly. In addition, I tried water photography, and I was able to enjoy 👏 it with so much leeway that I couldn't believe it was the first time The Fun Dive Team aimed for Izu Marine Park's Specialties "Water Post". Meter under the seabed, you can 📮✨ actually post a postcard to this post and the postcard will really reach the other party. Those who receive it will surely be surprised. In addition, this time, a guest who enjoys drawing also tried drawing in water. It was a special and luxurious time to enjoy diving and art at the same time. There is a very much to 🙏 everyone who participated this time Once again, I felt 🌏 that diving is an Activities that connects the world It is a great pleasure for us to be able to connect across borders through the sea. ——— 🌈 Hokule'a Shonan is a small-group dive shop located in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. During the summer, a Taiwanese student staying in Tateyama experienced the Tateyama Bay Fireworks Display. We received some lovely photos, videos, and impressions from them, and we’re pleased to share them here! Xiangyun’s impressions The Tateyama fireworks festival was incredibly exciting. I was astonished that Japanese fireworks last for a whole hour, whereas major events in Taiwan—such as New Year’s Eve—only last about five minutes; that contrast surprised me greatly. What sets Tateyama’s fireworks apart is that they are launched over the sea, creating a vast spread that blooms everywhere at once, so you don’t know where to look; it felt fresh and spectacular. Watching from the sand, with most people lying back comfortably, was very pleasant. I was swept up in the romantic atmosphere of the moment and felt that the Tateyama fireworks festival contained everything needed for romance. The festival food stalls heightened the dreamlike mood, their colorful displays and rich aromas making everything tempting. There were many takoyaki vendors, and I ended up buying a box to taste. The vendors were very kind and warm toward me even though we couldn’t speak the same language, which touched my heart. Walking around made me smile naturally, and those delicious flavors made the night even more unforgettable. The Tateyama Fireworks Festival is truly exhilarating. I was amazed that Japanese fireworks can last for a whole hour, especially compared to major celebrations in Taiwan—like New Year’s Eve—that only last about five minutes. This difference really shocked me. What makes the Tateyama fireworks special is that they explode over the sea, creating a vast display that bursts in all directions at once, making it hard to know where to look. It’s both novel and spectacular. Watching from the beach, where most people lie down comfortably, adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The romantic mood at that moment is intoxicating, as if the Tateyama fireworks festival embodies all the elements needed for romance. The food stalls at the festival add to the dreamlike feeling, with their colorful displays and enticing aromas making everything tempting to eat. There were many takoyaki (octopus ball) vendors, and I couldn’t resist buying a box to try. The vendors were very friendly, warmly interacting with me despite the language barrier, which made me feel especially welcomed. As I strolled around, I found myself smiling unconsciously, and the delicious tastes made the evening even more unforgettable. The Tateyama fireworks festival thrilled me. I was shocked that Japanese fireworks can last up to an hour, compared with Taiwan’s major celebrations—like New Year’s Eve—that last only about five minutes. The special thing about Tateyama’s fireworks is that they bloom over the sea, covering a wide area and exploding in every direction at once, leaving you unsure where to look; it felt both novel and magnificent. Watching on the beach, where nearly everyone lies down to view them, felt especially relaxing. The romantic atmosphere of that moment was intoxicating, as if the Tateyama fireworks festival gathered all the elements needed for romance. The stalls at the festival added to the dreamlike feeling, colorful and fragrant, making everything look tempting to eat. There were especially many takoyaki stalls, and I couldn’t help buying a box to taste. The vendors were very enthusiastic and interacted kindly with me despite the language barrier, making me feel warmly welcomed. While walking around, I found myself smiling unconsciously, and the flavors of those foods made the night even more memorable.

🌊 The waters of Atami are always full of mystery and beauty. Beneath the surface of the water, there is another world that is disconnected from everyday life. 🪸 Brightly colored soft corals, 🐟 schools of fish, wrecks ⚓ that have spent many years quietly in the sea. All of them give you new discoveries and impressions every time you dive. ⚓ Atami Wreck Point is one of the most popular diving spots in Japan. The hull, which is about 80 meters long, lies on the seabed as if welcoming divers, and is home to countless creatures. From Spring to summer, the shadows of the fish become even darker, and 🐠 the feeling of moving through the school that swims around the hull is like being part of the sea. 🚉 Atami is only 90 minutes from Tokyo and has good Access, so it is a nice point that you can easily go on a day trip. 🤿 You will be accompanied by an experienced guide, so even if you are new to wreck diving, you can try it with confidence. The light shining into the interior of the wreck, the soft coral swaying, and the silence drifting on the seabed. All of this is a special experience that you will never get on land. 🍂 Diving shows a different look in each season, so you will never get tired of it no matter how many times you visit. Especially in autumn, the water temperature is high and the transparency is good, making it ideal for taking a closer look at the entire wreck. If you are thinking "I want to do a wreck dive someday", please take this opportunity to go to the waters of Atami. 🌊 Why don't you take a deep breath and step into the blue and quiet unknown? ---------------- 🌈 Hokule'a Shonan is a dive shop located in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture! This is a photo taken at Saizakiura Beaches in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture. I went outbound with my colleagues at work to watch the fireworks. It's not like we're always together, and when you look at it from the sidelines, the six of us are hugged, but for some reason, I feel like we were able to stay at the same time and with the same feeling. Each of them lit their own fireworks and enjoyed talking to each other from time to time. It was a moment when things in my heart that I couldn't usually say spilled out.

Hello everyone! This is ♪ the Minami Town Tourism Association On July 19, 2025, the Hiwasa Umigame Museum Caretta, located in Minami Town, Kaibu District, Tokushima Prefecture, reopened after about two years of renovation work. Therefore, this time, we would like to introduce "Hiwasa Umigame Museum Caretta" to everyone! 【Overview】 Hiwasa Umigame Museum Caretta (commonly known as Caretta) is a Museum located in the Minami Town of Kaibu District, Tokushima Prefecture, and is one of the world's rare Museum specializing in sea turtles. Caretta, with the theme of "Coexistence between Nature and Man", opened in 1985. Its predecessor was the Hiwasa Town Water Museum, and its predecessor was the loggerhead turtle protection and breeding research activities by the Hiwasa junior high school Sea Turtle Research Group, Located in. The Hiwasa Junior High School Sea Turtle Research Group was established in 1950 with the aim of protecting and breeding loggerhead sea turtles that land and lay eggs on the Ohama Coast. At that time, there were no systematic research results on sea turtles, and there were not enough facilities in rural junior high schools in the immediate postwar period, so students at that time began to protect sea turtles in a semi-fumbling state. The students' trial and error over the course of about 10 years bore fruit, and the results of their research have been introduced in numerous magazines, and "Ohama Coast as a spawning ground for loggerhead sea turtles" has become famous throughout Japan. Finally, it was designated as a nationally designated natural monument as "sea turtles and their spawning grounds on the Ohama Coast," and the activities of Hiwasa in Minami Town were in the spotlight. In order to make these conservation and research activities more widely known to as many people as possible, the Hiwasa Umigame Museums Caretta was opened. 【Exhibit Contents】 As the museum's name derives from the scientific name of loggerhead sea turtles "Caretta caretta", the exhibition focuses on loggerhead sea turtles. Before the renovation, Caretta was an exhibition that mainly introduced the ecology of sea turtles. Even in this renovation, the exhibit introducing the ecology of sea turtles remains, but it has been reborn to introduce the conservation and research activities of Minami Town Hiwasa in more detail. As soon as you enter, there is an exhibition that covers the evolution of turtles and sea turtles, and in the passage that follows, you can see stuffed sea turtles of eight existing species and explain the ecology of each sea turtle. The next section focuses on loggerhead sea turtles that land on the Ohama Coast and explains in detail what kind of life loggerhead sea turtles lead on the Ohama Coast. Scenes of newborn hatchlings and one-year-old hatchlings swimming vigorously here. And in the next corner, there is an exhibition that looks back on the history of the activities of Minami Town Hiwasa, which is a major feature of this renovation. Why did the students of Hiwasa junior high school embark on loggerhead turtle conservation, how did they proceed with their research, and how did they come to be recognized by the public? You can learn about the history of sea turtle conservation that continues to the present day. At the end of the exhibition, you can learn how to protect sea turtles from modern environmental problems and how sea turtle conservation activities are carried out. In addition to this, there is a display exhibition of sea turtles designed by children in the Original swimming on the screen, and a corner where you can take a quiz about sea turtles. In addition, from the observation space on the 2nd floor, you can overlook the Ohama Coast in front of you. [Outdoor Exhibition] Outside the main exhibition building, there is a "large turtle pool" where adult loggerhead sea turtles swim leisurely. In consideration of an environment that is easy for loggerhead sea turtles to swim in, the indigo color scheme that is conscious of the seabed of the Nature and the streamlined pool without horns are created. It was also designed to be viewed from the side of the pool so that it is easy to observe them swimming and resting on the bottom of the water. Hamataro, one of the loggerhead sea turtles living here, was born in 1950 at Hiwasa Junior High School and has been bred ever since for the purpose of observing the life of the sea turtle, which is still a mystery. Hamataro, who turned 75 years old this year, holds the world's longest-lived loggerhead sea turtle record for which his age and individual have been reliably recorded, and he continues to break it. In addition to this, there is also a "Touch Pool" and a "Pale Water Turtle Pool" where you can interact with the creatures of the seashore, and the "Tatayo Umigame Museum" where you can observe swimming sea turtles from below. 【Umigame Shokudo】 Caretta has a "Umigame Shokudo" adjacent to the large game pool. Meals set meal, curry rice, and kamemonaka with ice milk are on sale, and you can enjoy them in the dining space. In addition, there is a side window of the large turtle pool facing the Meals space, and you can watch the sea turtles swimming gracefully while enjoying the food. Squid was it? The charm of Caretta presented here is only a small part. The charm of Caretta and the charm of sea turtles can only be felt with your five senses when you go to the site! This time, the Hiwasa Umigame Museums Caretta has been reopened.
