The large taiko drums of Osaka Shinden (Sekichaya, Onoshiba, Shimo-Kusao three districts) will parade through each neighborhood and begin entering the shrine one after another from around 6:00 p.m.✨ Watch as nearly one-ton taiko drums are carried through town; the thunderous sound and the sight of them being hoisted are not to be missed! This is a festival with a history of over 100 years in which young people carry taikodai (drum floats) through the neighborhood while singing and dancing Kawachi ondo and Goshu ondo.✨ Drums over three shaku (about 90 cm) are placed on carrying poles and carried by groups of about 20 to 30 people as they parade.
