Minotake Mountain Minobuji Temple is one of the three Kannon in Oshu. An ancient temple founded in 770 at the end of the Nara period. Legend has it that when Sakanoue Tamuramaro, the great general of the Seiyi Shogun, pierced the area with an arrowhead arrow during the Toyi expedition and prayed for protection, the branches and leaves of the arrow bamboo (箟) arose, which is the origin of the place name of Minodake. In the back mountain, there is a cedar forest over 900 years old and a colony of potato chestnut flowers, which is a local landmark. The taste was different from the cherry blossoms, and the lovely and pretty potato chestnut flowers also made me feel the arrival of spring.
