Rishirifuji Tourism Association

Hello COOL JAPAN VIDEOS viewers! It is a Rishirifuji Tourism Association located on Rishiri Island, Hokkaido. We will introduce the sightseeing spots of Rishiri Fuji Town from today. ~Introduction of Mount Rishiri~ Mt. Rishiri, Japan's northernmost independent peak, has been selected as one of the "100 Famous Mountains of Japan" by mountaineer and novelist Hisaya Fukada. The foundation of Mt. Rishiri, which is 1,721 meters above sea level, was formed by a volcano, and subsequent eruptions formed the current appearance of the mountain. The rough shape near the summit is not caused by the volcano, but by repeated erosion and collapse of the mountain surface due to severe winds and snow in the northernmost region. Mt. Rishiri has a well-maintained mountain trail, and there are two courses, the Rishiri Fuji Town "Oshidomari Course" for beginners to intermediates, and the Rishiri Town "Kutsugata Course" for advanced climbers, and about 10,000 climbers use it every year to reach the summit. In addition, at the foot of the Oshidomari Course, which is the most frequently used, there is the spring water "Ganro Spring Water", which has been selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan, and is useful as an oasis place for climbers. In recent years, the rapid increase in the number of climbers has led to the deterioration of mountain trails, amplifying the effects of bare ground due to trampling by climbers and soil scouring caused by rain and snowmelt in places where fragile volcanic strata are exposed. The local Rishiriyama Mountain Trail Maintenance and Management Liaison Council is working to maintain and repair the mountain trail, but it is not easy to restore nature once it has been damaged. Therefore, we have formulated the "Rishiri Rule," which is a regional rule for mountain trail conservation, and are calling on mountain climbers to cooperate with mountain climbing manners. 【Rishiri Rules】 1. Use portable toilets 2. Cap the stock 3. Do not sit on the plant, do not step on it In order to protect Mount Rishiri and to make it enjoyable for many people, we ask for your cooperation in spreading the Rishiri Rules.

How do you do! My name is Hokuryu Town Tourism Association "Hokuryu Town Himawari Tourism Association". Hokuryu-cho, Hokkaido is located about 2 hours by car from Sapporo and is a small town with a population of about 1,600 people. Hokuryu Town is famous nationwide for its "sunflower fields", and last year in 2022, it ranked first in the "sunflower fields" that I want to go to in the summer of 2022! "Hokuryucho Sunflower Village" is one of the largest sunflower fields in the Japan, with about 2 million sunflowers blooming on the site of about five Tokyo Domes, and is visited by about 200,000 tourists from all over Japan during the season. From the two-story observatory near the parking lot, it is also the best photo spot where you can see the entire sunflower field. Please enjoy the spectacular view of the bright yellow all over the place! In addition, the best time to see the sunflowers is from late July to mid-August, and the "Sunflower Festival" is held at this time. Last year in 2022, the Sunflower Maze, the sightseeing wheel "Himawari-go" with an explanation guide about Hokuryu Town and Sunflowers, and rare sunflower exhibitions from around the world were held. Hokuryu Town is a sunflower favorite area, but you can see the beautiful scenery of cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in autumn, and we recommend the roadside station "Sunflower Park Hokuryu Onsen" where you can enjoy a day-trip hot spring, and "Kinpira Park" where you can enjoy camping and outdoor barbecues! What kind of place is Ashoro? We will introduce plenty of Ashoro attractions and sightseeing spots to everyone who sees the COOL JAPAN VIDEOS, so thank you! Ashoro is the largest town and village in Japan in the northeastern part of Tokachi. Forestry and agriculture are thriving, and about 80% of the town's area is forested. The population is about 6,500. Basically, you can travel by car in the town, and access by car from major cities in Hokkaido is as follows. ・About 1 hour by car from Obihiro ・About one and a half hours by car from Kushiro ・About one and a half hours by car from Kitami ・About 3 and a half hours by car from Sapporo ・About 3 and a half hours by car from Asahikawa One of the popular tourist spots of such a Ashoro is "Ashoro Galaxy Hall 21" in the center of the Ashoro. It was originally built as an ashiyoro station on the Hokkaido Chihoku Kogen Railway "Furusato Galaxy Line" and was registered as a roadside station in 2004, but after the "Furusato Galaxy Line" was discontinued in 2006, it was reopened in 2011 and became its current appearance. In the facility, the tracks and trains used for 95 years are reproduced by making use of the original platform. In addition, Ashoro is the birthplace of singer-songwriter Chiharu Matsuyama, and the "Chiharu Matsuyama Gallery" in the facility is decorated with her favorite guitar and stage costumes. "Onneto" is recommended for those who want to enjoy sightseeing spots surrounded by Ashoro nature. Onneto is a lake with a circumference of 2.5 km west of Akan-Mashu National Park and was formed by the eruption of Mt. Meakan about 2,000 years ago. Since the color of the lake surface changes depending on the season, weather, and where you see it, it is also called "Goshikinuma" and "Mysterious Lake". * It takes about 50 minutes by car from the Ashoro city center. * During the winter period (December ~ April), the road leading to the lake is closed and vehicles are not allowed to pass. For details, please see the website of the Ashoro Tourism Association. Finally, we would like to introduce some of Ashoro's most popular events. The "Ashiyoro Furusato Bon Odori Ryogoku Fireworks Festival" held every August is the largest event in the town where as many as 8,000 fireworks dye the night sky of Ashiyoro in vivid colors (* In 2022, only fireworks were launched).
