Hello 😃 This is Yamanashi Wine Kingdom Senga Falls. It's July and the heat is getting more intense—how is everyone doing? If you go down to Senga Falls, a sightseeing spot in Shosenkyo Gorge, the negative ions and the waterfall's spray will sweep the heat away and create a refreshing coolness. From Yamanashi Wine Kingdom you can even see directly above the falls! There are many photo spots in the Takiue Area, so please capture a memory or two 😌 Especially popular is the giant salamander mascot! Many guests love to take photos with it☺️ By the way, there are said to be salamanders living in Shosenkyo Gorge…? If you meet one, it might bring you good luck! Also, Yamanashi Wine Kingdom launched a new orange wine in July! Made from white grapes using red wine production methods, this wine is crisp yet lets you enjoy the tannic nuance from the skins. Please serve it well chilled 😀 We sincerely look forward to your visit ☺️

Hello, this is En'emon Folklore Museum. July has arrived and the hot days continue, but Shosenkyo Gorge still feels a little cool. While the sea’s chill is nice for summer vacation, it’s also a great season to soothe yourself in the mountains with a forest bath, listening to birdsong and relaxing among the green. Yamanashi has no sea, but the museum holds stones as beautiful as the ocean. Larimar is one of the three major healing stones, symbolizing love and peace, and it’s perfect for anyone seeking comfort and healing. Also, Shosenkyo is famous for its quartz, which used to be called a fossil of ice because it feels cool to the touch. It looks refreshing too, so come and touch it~♪ #Shosenkyo Gorge #Ontake Shosenkyo #Yamanashi Prefecture #Yamanashi #Kofu City #Kofu #Kai City #Kai #scenic spot #Japan’s scenic spots #scenic view #sightseeing #tourist spot #travel #Yamanashi trip #Yamanashi tourism #En'emon Folklore Museum #Shosenkyo Story En'emon Folklore Museum

Shinano Road in the rain Bushu Highway Furuya Valleys "Otome Falls" I went there looking for a superb view in the rainy season ☂️! I have visited the Yachiho Highlands and Shirakoma Pond in Sakuho Town many times The atmosphere on a rainy day was good, so I visited to enjoy the Valleys and Fresh greenery. The stream of the waterfall and the fresh greenery are beautiful, and the rain creates a special feeling of the secluded beauty of the Valleys. Recommended!

Hello 😊 This is Jewelry Town! The rainy season has begun, and the deep green soaked by the rain feels lush and calming 🌱 With the changing seasons, a new café has opened near the entrance to the waterfalls at Shosenkyo Gorge! According to the staff, their pancakes enjoyed amid nature and shaved ice made from natural ice come highly recommended 🥞🍧 This year, swallows have come to nest at our shop again. We’re all looking forward to the lively chirps of the chicks 🐣 Also, new products keep arriving! We carry high-quality amethyst and some rather rare quartz specimens ✨ Please drop by and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shosenkyo Gorge with us ☺️ All our staff look forward to seeing you♪

Hello 😃 This is Yamanashi Wine Kingdom Main Hall! Summer is gradually approaching. Shosenkyo Gorge, also famous as a summer retreat, is especially known for Senga Falls, a popular cool spot. The stairs leading down to Senga Falls are one of the coolest places in Shosenkyo. Please take in the view of the waterfall that opens up at the bottom of the steps. In the garden of Yamanashi Wine Kingdom Main Hall, the dogwood (yamaboshi) flowers are blooming beautifully. This year they seem to be the prettiest in the past five years. When you visit Shosenkyo, be sure to stop by Yamanashi Wine Kingdom!

Hello, this is Ryusuido 😊 Shosenkyo Gorge is now in the season when plants grow vigorously and the fresh green is dazzling!! We recommend taking a stroll to feel the refreshing breeze while sunlight filters through the layers of green. May’s birthstones are emerald and jade! Emerald, famous as the gem beloved by Cleopatra, has long been prized for its healing effects and symbolizes healing and stability.💎 Jade signifies prosperity, longevity, and health, and it has been selected as one of Japan’s representative national gemstones. Both feature a beautiful green that fits the fresh-leaf season perfectly!! We also carry a wide variety of natural stones and accessories, so come and enjoy a soothing space woven by gemstones and the sound of the waterfall. Please drop by.

Hello 😃 This is Enemon Denshokan. While the news often says the Kofu Basin is hot, a crisp spring breeze still sweeps through Shosenkyo Gorge, where ukonzakura (ukon cherry) blooms in full glory and fresh green leaves brighten the ravine! In fact, Enemon Denshokan has a marble chessboard on display. The natural stone’s beautiful patterns give it the presence of a work of art. In the quiet gallery, you can relax as you hold the chess pieces and enjoy a peaceful moment. It’s also highly photogenic, so please stop by as a memento of your sightseeing. Also, from April 27th we began a new polishing experience led mainly by Mr. Fukuda, a Yamanashi Master First-Class Gemstone Polisher. In a one-hour course you can become a “gemstone polishing artisan” and create a unique travel memory just for you. We look forward to welcoming you to the museum!

Kikuchi Gorge: a breathtaking retreat of fresh verdant beauty Kikuchi Gorge, a signature attraction of Kikuchi City in Kumamoto Prefecture, is a stunning canyon chosen as one of Japan’s Top 100 Forest Bathing Sites, Top 100 Famous Waters, and Top 100 Waterfalls. About 17 km east of central Kikuchi, it lies on the northwestern slopes of the Aso outer rim at elevations between 500 m and 800 m, spanning a vast 1,193 hectares of peaceful woodland. Well-maintained trails run through the gorge, with clear signs to guide you, so you can take a relaxed walk through the primeval forest. The gorge also features many waterfalls, including Shijusanman Falls, Reimei Falls, and Ryugafuchi, all selected among Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls. Be sure to find your favorite. Hello 😃 This is the Yamanashi Wine Kingdom main building. While Shosenkyo Gorge is of course lovely on sunny days, the scenery wrapped in the quiet of a rainy day is exceptional. The rugged rock faces shrouded in mist create a dreamlike scene like an ink wash painting, making you feel as if you’ve stepped into another world ✨ A about a five-minute drive from the upper waterfall area brings you to the Shosenkyo Arakawa Dam. The sweeping view over Lake Nosen, formed by the dam, is breathtaking! The mountains and mist reflected on the calm lake surface compose a picture-like beauty. Shosenkyo Gorge is now entering the heart of spring 🌸 Come and experience the season as cherry blossoms and fresh green leaves paint the landscape.

Hello 😊 This is Ryusuido. In March, Shosenkyo Gorge feels the sun grow warmer, gentle sunlight pours onto the water, and you can slowly sense spring☘️ arriving. We can’t wait for the cherry blossoms🌸 to bloom‼️ March’s birthstone is aquamarine💎 A member of the beryl family, like emeralds, its color and gem name vary according to the minerals it contains. With its pale, gentle aqua hue, aquamarine symbolizes healing and happiness, and a legend says it brings joyful love and marriage✨ We also offer a wide selection of other natural stones and accessories, so please stop by to enjoy the soothing space where gemstones and the sound of the falls weave together. Hello. This is En'emon Denshōkan. As the weather swings between warm and cold, spring is slowly approaching♪ The foliage around Kaku-enpeak seems to be getting a bit greener. March 3rd was Hinamatsuri across the country🎎 In Yamanashi, many places celebrate on April 3rd, so the festive mood of the doll festival continues for a month✨ The tradition of wishing for healthy growth has been passed down for a long time. Aquamarine, the birthstone for March, is said to purify the heart and give hope, and its stone meaning is “filled with happiness,” so it also makes a good charm✨ Also, the rose quartz we recommend this time is a healing stone and a stone of love, and it is considered a protector of women. We look forward to seeing your smiles🙂✨

Hello 😃 This is the main building of Yamanashi Wine Kingdom. Cold days continue, but the clear air here in Shosenkyo Gorge feels refreshing. Right now, beside the main building we are trying our hand at making “ice objects” that take advantage of this cold weather! After exploring the famous Senga Falls and the curious “Stone Gate” along the promenade further ahead — a rock that looks like it might stick together but doesn’t — be sure to take a look at the “ice objects.” Today we saw rainbows at both Senga Falls and the ice objects! When you visit, please dress warmly and enjoy your time♪

Hello! This is Genshosenkyo. Cold days continue, but the air is so clear that the rock faces along the promenade are fully visible, creating a breathtaking view. Around Senga Falls and along the river, the rocks are dusted in white ice, and the way the mountain stream rushes between those rocks is truly beautiful (sparkling). Fewer tourists visit in this season, so you can fully enjoy the great outdoors. If you listen closely, the sound of the wind, flowing water, and birdsong is deeply soothing. Our shop is the closest to the power spot Senga Falls.😃 After exploring Shosenkyo Gorge, please stop by Genshosenkyo to recharge your energy. We look forward to seeing you all❣️
