Hiroshima Prefecture visit yellowtail for more than 15 years, in Miyajima. Since I headed there after running errands, the time was around 18 o'clock, so I couldn't Prayer Shrine, but I decided to take a walk around Miyajima at dusk. While walking near the Torii (shrine gate) gate nestled in the low tide, I captured the moment I suddenly visited in my camera. The sight of the deer, who is said to be the messenger of the gods (and wearing magnificent horns), looking at the Torii (shrine gate) gate at dusk, was full of divinity, as if he was staring at the faces of his master.

Ukai is a traditional Japanese fishing method that uses cormorants to catch sweetfish (ayu). Cormorants are exceptionally skilled hunters. They dive into the water and swallow the fish whole, holding them in their throats☝️ In ukai, handlers wrap a cord around the bird’s neck so it won’t completely swallow a large ayu.
