Introducing the town’s only working space. Facing the street in front of JR Shintoku Station, the landmark is Soma Shoten with a wood-rich exterior and large windows. Soma Shoten @419soma419 This long-established shop, founded 119 years ago, sells books and stationery. You can also buy local products in a variety of categories. From late May through late October, the shop hosts a farm-fresh vegetable stall. Local farmers bring freshly harvested, seasonal produce every morning. @ekivege ↑ Here is information about Soma Shoten’s vegetable stall. The working space is located inside the shop on the left after you enter. It isn’t like a private room, so we were told it might not be ideal for web meetings, but it offers a bright, open area with pleasant background music where you can do writing and other desk work. *Please note that events are sometimes held in the shop, so call ahead if you wish to use the space.* ☎ 0156-64-5055 If you want to play hard in Shintoku Town and then get down to work, please make use of Soma Shoten’s working space. Shakotan Tourism Association
Dec. 21, 2024
Hello! Today, I would like to introduce a little bit of the autumn and winter scenery of Shakotan. When the summer season of June ~ August ends, the number of customers drops sharply in Shakotan, but for those who want to go sightseeing slowly and calmly rather than the crowded summer season ~ we recommend sightseeing after September. If the weather is good and the sun is out, it is not as Squid as the summer season, but you can see the beautiful color of the sea of Shakotan Roux. In front of the cape, pampas grass shines, and there is also an autumn scenery such as a larch highway like a movie location and a landscape with silos. Also, in winter, the waves crashing against the rocks are so beautiful that they are sometimes compared to ink paintings. Sometimes a cat greets you in front of an old stone warehouse in the port, and I hope you can enjoy the scenery of Shakotan not only in the summer season.

Autumn in Gokase: Peak Season Now! Josenji With only one calendar page left and autumn foliage ending in most places, surprisingly Josenji is now at its peak 😳🍁 It was cloudy when I took the photos, but the deep, vivid reds stood out and looked incredibly beautiful 🥹✨ While leaves are fading elsewhere, are the trees at Josenji a late-foliage variety? Or is it due to local environmental factors? I’m not sure, as I don’t know the details… In any case, I never expected to see such stunning autumn colors in December 😳👏 Please stop by and enjoy them for yourself 🤗✨

Anata Terasu: Tea, Healing, Fortune-telling, and Goods Today, Saturday, November 30, Anata Terasu took place at Miyazaki Sabo’s Barber House ☺️🍀 This event, which was also held in summer, is now at Volume 5 🖐️💡 A wood-burning stove warmed the shop, giving a gentle, happy warmth 😌💕 A wide range of fortune-telling and healing services were available 🫶 I asked Hikari Therapy for a guardian reading and a channeled message this time 🤗 I was surprised by some unexpected results 😳 but they might indeed be true 🤭 I felt encouraged to keep the messages in my heart and live joyfully 💪✨ While others waited for healing services, they relaxed, chatted, and enjoyed delicious tea, chiffon cake, and bread 🍵 Healing goods like warm items and other soothing accessories were on display, making for a lovely event where time flowed slowly ☺️✨ Actually, I’m typing this post while eating the hojicha chiffon cake I bought… and it’s unbelievably delicious 🥹💕 The rich hojicha flavor and moist chiffon texture are perfect… If you get the chance, please try it ✨ This was a rewarding event recommended for anyone who’s always busy and feeling a bit short on mental space 🥰
