My today's recommendation is Kawazu city. Kawazu cherry blossoms are early-blooming cherry blossoms that begin to bloom from mid-February to early March every year in Kawazu city of Shizuoka Prefecture. During that period a several hundred cherry trees blooms along the both side of river. Unlike the normal cherry blossom this kawazu cherry blossoms are bright colors. In a short distance one can also see the mountains on one side and sea on the other side. The river water is crystal clear. Most importantly, the local peoples are very tourist friendly.

COOL JAPAN VIDEOS Photo Contest PR
Dec. 7, 2022
Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce "Teppy's post "Okuoikojo Station" with a superb view in the hinterland of Shizuoka. The station built as if floating on the lake and the magnificent nature are a spectacular view. Okuōikojo Station (奥大井湖上駅, Okuōikojo-eki) is a station on the Ōigawa Railway Ikawa Line in Kawanehoncho, Haibara-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture, Tokai region, which won the "COOL JAPAN AWARD 2019". It was built on a peninsula-like site that came out on the left bank during the construction of the Nagashima Dam. The scenery that seems to be floating on the lake has become a hot topic on SNS. To get to the viewpoint with a superb view of the station and nature, it is about an 18-minute walk from the parking lot of Okuoikojo Station. It is also recommended to actually enter the station and tour the platform. In addition, the iron bridge "Okuoi Rainbow Bridge" of the Minami Alps Aputo Line (Ikawa Line) that spans both sides of the peninsula where the station is located can be crossed on foot. The Ōigawa Railway is also famous for the popular anime "Thomas the Tank Engine". You can also take the Toby the Tank Engine and the Bertie bus. There are also plans for day tours and a little longer to enjoy with Thomas Land. From December ~ January 2022, Thomas Fair will be held at two locations, "Shin-Kanaya Main Venue" and "Senzu Satellite Venue". It is full of highlights such as driving a mini SL and an exhibition of Thomas' nakama. In addition, a gift plan will be held for 3 days only from December 23 (Fri) ~ 25 (Sun), 2022. Children under elementary school age who ride the Thomas the Tank Engine during the period will receive Christmas presents. Please check the official website for details. ◆Access ◆ Okuoikojo Station 【Train】 Take the Minami Alps Aputo Line (Ikawa Line) to the 10th station from Senzu Station (ride time: about 1 hour 5 minutes) Oigawa Railway 【Train】 Get off at JR Tokaido Line "Kanaya Station", move the platform, and go to the Oigawa Railway platform 【Car】 From Shin-Tomei "Shimada Kanaya IC", take National Route 473 toward Kanaya City (South) for about 10 minutes. Or from Tomei "Sagara Makinohara IC", take National Route 473 toward Shizuoka Airport (north) for about 15 minutes.

Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce Mr. Tackle's post "Mt. Fuji from the campsite exclusively at the foot". It is a powerful photo that you can feel even the surface of Mt. Fuji. "Fumoto Soura" is located at the foot of Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture in the Tokai region, and is a campsite where you can overlook Mt. Fuji. The reason for its popularity is the free site where you can drive right next to the tent in the vast grounds. Even if you do not have a tent, you can rest assured that there are accommodations such as cottages. Recently, it has become a hot topic as a sacred place for the popular anime "Yuru Can△". The campsite is only equipped with shower facilities, so if you want to take a bath, we recommend using the nearby hot spring facilities. ・Asagiri Onsen Kaze no Yu It is the closest to the campsite and you can also enjoy vanadium hot springs and meals. You can also use the bedrock bath free of charge. ・Tenmu no Yu It is a popular hot bath facility for returning from climbing Mt. Fuji and camping guests. The admission fee is as low as 400 yen for adults, and you can enjoy the medicated bath, cypress bath, and low-temperature sauna. Use of the campsite exclusively at the foot is by appointment only. You need to make a reservation on a specific date from the reservation form on the official website. It seems that it is difficult to make a reservation on consecutive holidays, but it seems that it is relatively easy to make a reservation on weekdays. ◆Exclusive campsite◆ 【Address】〒418-0109 Shizuoka Prefecture Fujinomiya City Roku 156 【Access】 ・Car Shin-Tomei Expressway Get off at Shin-Fuji IC and get off for about 35 minutes. ・Train Get off at JR Shin-Fuji Station, take the bus bound for Fuji 5th Station, get off at Asagiri Green Park stop, and walk 20 minutes
