Today, June 16th, is "Japanese Sweets Day"! Introducing Japanese sweets and famous confectionery originating in Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture. (1) Milk Dango ・ Nostalgic taste that has not changed since the old days A Commitment Gastronomical delicacies made by mixing mochi powder, sugar, Water candy, honey, etc. on a milk base without using a single drop of Water. The nostalgic taste that has not changed since ancient times is popular. Milk Dango is manufactured and sold by Izumi Kowado, a long-established Japanese confectionery store located in Shobara City in northeastern Hiroshima Prefecture. It was released in Showa 9, and since winning a prize at the National Confectionery Grand Competition, it has won numerous honors in various places. It is no exaggeration to say that Shobara's Souvenirs are milk dango, and they have been loved for a long time as a front line. Please enjoy such milk dango as an accompaniment to Tea and danran. (2) Onbashi ・ Famous confectionery raised in Tojo Town that reminds me of Teishaku Gorge Enjodo's "Male Bridge" is derived from the natural bridge "Male Bridge of Teishaku Gorge" in Tojo Town, Shobara City. It is a two-layered confectionery reminiscent of a stone bridge. Underneath, moist cookie dough. On top is a sweet Famous Confectionery raised in Tojo Town with caramel and almond slices on top. At Enjodo, the best Ingredients are carefully selected and examined, and we try to bring out the original taste of confectionery by kneading techniques without using any [artificial synthetic coloring], [chemical synthetic preservatives], [additives such as bleach], etc. (3) Takeya Manju ・ Gentle taste that has continued since the Edo period Shobara City Tojo is proud of its Famous Confectionery of Takeya Manju. Takeya Manju Honpo started making buns in the Edo period. Since its founding, its signature products have been Sake Manju and Takeya Manju made with koji. Sake Manju is made from sake with clean water, and even if you take a bite, it has a gentle taste that you can't think of as a Sake Manju. Since it does not use additives, it can be safely eaten by children and the elderly. (4) Hibagon egg ・ A unique famous confectionery bearing the name "Hibagon" Famous confectionery "Hibagon no Tamago" created by love for the Township. In 1970, when Hibagon was spotted, the confectionery shop "Daikokudo" released "Hibagon Manju". Then, in 2003, I heard rumors of a merger Town/Village city due to the influence of the great merger of the Heisei era, and Squid I thought that "Hibagun" might disappear, so I developed and released "Hibagon no Tamago". It is a three-layered confectionery that imitates an egg consisting of "shell", "white meat", and "yolk". The "shell" consists of cocoa flavor, the "white meat" consists of white bean paste with condensed milk, and the "yolk" consists of yellow bean paste with sweet potato. Along with the appearance, the taste is also very popular. (5) Tabusa Yokan ・Yokan made in the town of Soryo with an elegant taste Carefully selected Hokkaido azuki beans are luxuriously used and carefully made over two days, and the original taste and aroma of azuki beans are brought out with delicious water unique to the countryside. "Taso" is the old place name of the current Soryo Town, and in the Showa era, it was merged with the neighboring Ryōkeson Village to become the Soryo Town, and the place name of Taso disappeared. Tagan Yokan is a confectionery that retains its ancient place name, and is a signature product with a history of more than 130 years, and is a traditional Famous Confectionery. 【Sensoji Temple Sanja Festival】 I filmed the famous scene of the Sanja Festival, the moment when the large lanterns of Kaminarimon were folded and the Mikoshi passed under them. This landscape is filled with traditions that have been carefully preserved by the local people. Asakusa is usually a popular Sightseeing spot, but on this day, I was impressed by the Scene where many people gathered regardless of nationality and everyone was excited together. Through the festivals, the passion and energy of the local people were conveyed, and at the same time, I felt that the feeling of impression is common no matter where you live. I wanted to capture such a moment of enthusiasm in a photograph. Location: Kaminarimon, Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo

On June 12, a Shinto ritual was held at the summit of Mt. Mt. Tarumae to pray for safety. The newly installed signboard was also accompanied by an explanation in English. Mt. Tarumae has an elevation of 1041m and is said to be a relatively easy mountain to climb. Some climbers wear sandals, thin-soled sneakers, and short-sleeved and short-pants, but it is recommended to wear trekking shoes and a windbreaker. (The Mountain Trail is slippery with pumice stones ejected during the eruption, and strong winds are always blowing at the summit)

Taisha Senmochi Suwa On this day, the gluttonous Kasai was lured by the sweet Aroma to visit the Taisha Senmochi Suwa store. Since childhood, he has loved the peanut crackers and castella rice crackers from Taisha Senmochi, and they are one of the favorite foods of the gluttonous Kasai. It was President Sasaki's wife who spoke to the gluttonous Kasai while he was busy. The history of Taisha Senmochi is that it was founded in Shimosuwa Town at the end of the Taisho era and moved to Suwa City in 1955 (Showa 30). In the list of the Suwa Confectionery Association in H23, it is said that it was founded in 1921 (Taisho 10) (1921), but the source seems to be unknown. However, in the land of Suwa, there is a "Taisha senmochi! It's like, "Oh my God. Ladies and gentlemen, when you think of Taisha rice crackers, don't you think of peanut crackers??? In fact, the first thing that was served as a Taisha rice cracker seems to be a castella rice cracker! (Unofficial) Peanut crackers are included in sweets called "Taisha", so you can imagine that Taisha senmochi = peanut crackers! That's not what I mean!!! At first, it seems that castella rice crackers existed as Taisha rice crackers!! Both peanut crackers and castella crackers are super popular signature products that have been around since the company's founding. I didn't know about this until I heard the story! It seems that the first founder of Taisha Senmochi had a very close relationship with Mr. Miyaji of Suwa Grand Shrine Lower Shrine at that time, and Mr. Miyaji asked the first founder to sell distribution items that could be distributed to Ujiko (shrine parishioners) at the time of the Gobashira. At that time, I was able to call the "Asahi Senbei" current castella rice crackers that I was making at the store as "Taisha Senmochi", and it is the secret story of the birth of "Taisha Senmochi"! I was overwhelmed with emotion when I was able to know the beginning of the name that I had been wondering about for a long time ~ since I was a child!! And the recipe for Taisha senmochi products is fixed in size, but it seems that the craftsman adjusts it from day to day depending on the season, temperature, humidity, etc. Based on this immense trust in the craftsmen, the gluttonous Kawanishi thinks that this is the reason why "Taisha Senmochi" has been loved in the land of Suwa for a long time. Of course, all of Taisha's recommended products are all products, but the one I was particularly interested in was "salt yokan with walnuts". It contains plenty of large walnuts, and it is so large that you can see the walnuts in it even with the naked eye! It is a must see souvenir for walnut lovers!! The tourism association also has customers from other prefectures who come to Suwa to buy Taisha senmochi as a Souvenirs, and it is so popular that they are asked, "Can I buy it online or at a department store?" When you come to Suwa, be sure to visit Souvenirs!! ◎ Taisha Senmochi Suwa store 📍 5320-9 Nakasu, Suwa City ☎ 0266-53-2777 ◎ Business hours: 9:00 ~ 17:15 ◎ Regular holiday : Closed on Sundays ◎ Car parking lot: About 10 cars in front of the store ◎ Home page : http://taisyasenbei.jp//
