First of all, the way to read Shakotan is "Shakotan". Hokkaido Shakotan-gun Shakotan occupies the tip of the Shakotan Peninsula in the Sea of Japan to the west of Hokkaido, and is a city with beautiful coastline, rich nature, fresh seafood, and a spectacular view of the "Shakotan Blue" sea, which shines blue like a jewel throughout the four seasons. In Shakotan, there are fishing ports such as Bikuni, Irika and Yobetsu, and herring fishing flourished until the Taisho period. Went to the Nippara Limestone Caves (日原鍾乳洞) out in the backwoods of Tokyo. Was a really enjoyable trip and the cave was much cooler (11℃) than outside which was 30℃+. Afterwards we stopped by the drum bridge at Lake Okutama and ate at うおいち, an Oyster themed restaurant. All of the food was really delicious. Overall had a really great time
