JTB Special Column Car "Tabimonogata-go" has arrived! JTB "Tabimonogatari-go" has been a stop for three consecutive years since R5 This year, we had 🚃 the pleasure of entertaining for about 34 minutes on the platform of the station Approximately 60 customers, Shintoku Soba tea, 2 types of Soba hot water (rich Soba bath, Soba bath with dashi), Taste Soba Karinto, A limited assortment set was sold. After that, each of the participants took pictures in front of the photo frame on the platform and in front of the station, and enjoyed shopping at the shop on the premises. After leaving Shintoku Station, more than 10 groups were taking pictures at the "Soba Red Photo Frame" installed on the left hand side. And at the shop on the premises, the "Soba Karinto" that I tasted was well received and sold out. Even when we talk to customers who are returning to the platform "Because it was so delicious." "It goes well with Tea." I was able to hear a happy voice with Soba Karinto in my hand. We saw them off in the hope that they would stop by again next year. A little advertisement. The 58th Oketo Summer Festival and the 48th Human Banba Competition will take place on Sunday, June 29th! The “Human Banba” competition, now synonymous with Oketo Town, draws many teams from across Hokkaido, with about 50 teams taking part in this popular event. 🌸 【Hokuryucho Cherry Blossom Spot Introduction vol.5】 🌸 Hello, this is 🌻 the Hokuryu Town Himawari Tourism Association This time, too, we will introduce the cherry blossom Spot that colors the Spring in Hokuryu Town! 🌟 The fifth installment is— "Shrine tour in Hokuryu Town"! Today, I would like to introduce ⛩️🌸 three shrines in Hokuryu In the town and the cherry blossoms I encountered there Each shrine was very impressive with its unique scenery, soothing tranquility, and harmony with the cherry blossoms. 🌸 【Bi Water Shrine】 The bright red Torii (shrine gate) gate is eye-catching, and the Bi Water Shrine has a truly "shrine-like" appearance. About 4 to 6 cherry trees were blooming in the Precincts, and the contrast with the sky was very beautiful. With the Spring breeze blowing, the view of the cherry blossoms through the Torii (shrine gate) gate was tranquil as if time had stopped. 🌸 【Shinryu Shrine】 Shinryu Shrine with its brownish Torii (shrine gate). In particular Precincts the cherry blossoms blooming on the right side are beautiful, and the soft petals and the calm atmosphere of the Shrine are in perfect harmony. The komaninu on the ball is also impressive, and the charm of this shrine is that 🤔 there are some unusual discoveries 🌸 【Mihagyu Shrine】 The Mihagyu Shrine is tucked away a little away from the center of town. The appearance that appears in the Rural Scenery makes you feel nostalgic. If you listen to the wind while the cherry blossoms sway quietly, it is a place 🌾 where Nature and your mind will be calm The history and atmosphere of each shrine, as well as the beauty of the cherry blossoms. In Hokuryu Town, this kind of "quiet impression" is scattered here and there. While admiring the cherry blossoms, you can touch the history of the town and the thoughts of the people. Please experience such a Spring shrine tour by all means 😊✨ We look forward 😊✨ to your visit

Ashoro Tourism Association
May. 13, 2025
The bitter cold is over, and Ashoro is gradually becoming a comfortable season. As the weather gets warmer, the number of climbers on Mt. Mekan seems to be increasing, but I would like to tell you once again about the precautions for climbing Mt. Meakan. In recent years, with the increase in the number of mountain climbers, the number of accidents during mountain climbing has increased. In particular, it seems that there are many people who report that their feet hurt during the descent. Prepare well according to your physical strength, muscle strength, technique, and experience, and never overdo it. Mt. Mekan is a mountain that is relatively easy to climb even for beginners, but it is a 1500m-class mountain in Hokkaido. Even in summer (around July), depending on the weather, the temperature can be close to 0°C, or it can be 35°C or higher. In addition, even if the Downtown area of Ashoro is sunny, there are many cases where the weather is bad at Mt. Meakan. There are also sudden changes in the weather. There are that pebbles may fly near the summit due to strong winds. Local people do not climb when the trees are making a go-go sound in the wind at the trailhead. Since it is an active volcano, please check the volcano Information and make a decision on climbing after fully being aware that it is an active volcano. ・Do not climb in light clothing. As for shoes, it is desirable to have neat mountaineering boots. There are many tree roots on the Mountain Trail that look like a mesh, and it is slippery, especially when wet. There are no trees near the summit, and the ground is stone and sandy, especially on the descent. Some people fell and hit their heads and were transported by helicopter. In addition, considering the change in weather, temperature change, and wind near the summit where there are no trees, it is essential to prepare rain gear such as a rain jacket for climbing. When we climb around June, we try to bring at least one fleece to protect us from the cold. In July ~ August, even if the day before exceeds 30°C, the next day it may be below 10°C. Thereare it is necessary to take measures to protect against the cold, and it is necessary to prepare drinks and food well. Don't forget your map and compass. ・ Do not go off other than the mountain trail, do not collect animals and plants. Mountain trail Maintenance is carried out every year so that people do not get lost in pink tape and rock markings (Implementation is scheduled for May 22 in FY2025). Do not stray from the Mountain Trail for the protection of flora and fauna. In addition, it is in a national park, and the collection of flora and fauna is strictly prohibited. Other precautions, please check the following Home page. https://www.town.ashoro.hokkaido.jp/kanko/spot/spot-9.html...

Flower Dream Marche a Big Hit! May 3 (Sat) – May 5 (Mon) The spring Nishiokoppe Village Marche ran for three days. As expected this time too, the Roadside Station parking lot filled with cars 🚙 When I arrived, I started by savoring venison with Ezo deer balls and red wine stew. A bowl of soba or udon topped with spring mountain vegetable tempura slid down smoothly. The mountain vegetables were yomogi (mugwort) and gyoja garlic (wild garlic). I felt the spring and replenished my energy. For souvenirs, I took home Setoushi-kun yaki and a chiffon cake. I had been looking forward to the fluffy chiffon cake, so I was glad to get one before it sold out! The children’s festival booth buzzed with candy fishing and a lottery to win toys. Booths selling plums, garlic, and tea added to the scene, and the vendors looked friendly and cheerful. There were moments when strong winds threatened to disrupt things, but the three days concluded safely. Thank you very much to everyone who visited! #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Roadside Station #Flower Dream #Nishiokoppe Village Marche #Ezo deer balls #Yumemura Mori no Garden #Baishin #Puppet Theater Circle Doremi

Grass Roll Painting Returns! Last year, we painted Setoushi-kun on a pair of stacked grass rolls, and the result proved more popular than expected, so we decided to do it again this year! Grass Roll Painting This year’s installation is in front of the management building at the Forest Park. If you spot a large orange object from around the intersection by the post office, that’s the grass roll. Using oil-based paint and markers, and with help from children visiting the park, we finished the painting. There’s even the autograph of that person who visited during Golden Week! The display will remain until around autumn. If you pass by, please come and take a look. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Forest Park #Grass Roll #Painting #Orange cow pattern #No face #Setoushi-kun
