Taisha Senmochi Suwa On this day, the gluttonous Kasai was lured by the sweet Aroma to visit the Taisha Senmochi Suwa store. Since childhood, he has loved the peanut crackers and castella rice crackers from Taisha Senmochi, and they are one of the favorite foods of the gluttonous Kasai. It was President Sasaki's wife who spoke to the gluttonous Kasai while he was busy. The history of Taisha Senmochi is that it was founded in Shimosuwa Town at the end of the Taisho era and moved to Suwa City in 1955 (Showa 30). In the list of the Suwa Confectionery Association in H23, it is said that it was founded in 1921 (Taisho 10) (1921), but the source seems to be unknown. However, in the land of Suwa, there is a "Taisha senmochi! It's like, "Oh my God. Ladies and gentlemen, when you think of Taisha rice crackers, don't you think of peanut crackers??? In fact, the first thing that was served as a Taisha rice cracker seems to be a castella rice cracker! (Unofficial) Peanut crackers are included in sweets called "Taisha", so you can imagine that Taisha senmochi = peanut crackers! That's not what I mean!!! At first, it seems that castella rice crackers existed as Taisha rice crackers!! Both peanut crackers and castella crackers are super popular signature products that have been around since the company's founding. I didn't know about this until I heard the story! It seems that the first founder of Taisha Senmochi had a very close relationship with Mr. Miyaji of Suwa Grand Shrine Lower Shrine at that time, and Mr. Miyaji asked the first founder to sell distribution items that could be distributed to Ujiko (shrine parishioners) at the time of the Gobashira. At that time, I was able to call the "Asahi Senbei" current castella rice crackers that I was making at the store as "Taisha Senmochi", and it is the secret story of the birth of "Taisha Senmochi"! I was overwhelmed with emotion when I was able to know the beginning of the name that I had been wondering about for a long time ~ since I was a child!! And the recipe for Taisha senmochi products is fixed in size, but it seems that the craftsman adjusts it from day to day depending on the season, temperature, humidity, etc. Based on this immense trust in the craftsmen, the gluttonous Kawanishi thinks that this is the reason why "Taisha Senmochi" has been loved in the land of Suwa for a long time. Of course, all of Taisha's recommended products are all products, but the one I was particularly interested in was "salt yokan with walnuts". It contains plenty of large walnuts, and it is so large that you can see the walnuts in it even with the naked eye! It is a must see souvenir for walnut lovers!! The tourism association also has customers from other prefectures who come to Suwa to buy Taisha senmochi as a Souvenirs, and it is so popular that they are asked, "Can I buy it online or at a department store?" When you come to Suwa, be sure to visit Souvenirs!! ◎ Taisha Senmochi Suwa store 📍 5320-9 Nakasu, Suwa City ☎ 0266-53-2777 ◎ Business hours: 9:00 ~ 17:15 ◎ Regular holiday : Closed on Sundays ◎ Car parking lot: About 10 cars in front of the store ◎ Home page : http://taisyasenbei.jp//
