[Kanagawa] Hokule'a Shonan / 5 Star PADI Scuba Dive Center
5 hours ago
About one hour from Tokyo. A day spent enjoying summer in Japan by the sea. As the rainy season ends, summer truly begins in Japan. In this hot season, why not take a little break from the city and head to the beach? Just a 30-minute drive from Hokulea Shonan, the destination is Enoura, a small seaside town in Kanagawa Prefecture. Although it is a place you can visit on a day trip from Tokyo, time flows differently there compared to the city. The blue sky. The calm sea. Just listening to the sound of the waves naturally relaxes your mind. And then, into the water. The moment you enter the sea, the cool water envelops your entire body. This comfort makes you forget the summer heat. "I want to dive a little longer." It felt like I could hear such voices throughout the day. In this season, there are summer-only scenes beneath the sea. Clownfish have begun to spawn. The sight of parent fish carefully protecting their eggs is a special scene you can only encounter at this time. Diving is not just about enjoying the underwater scenery. Visiting a seaside town, feeling the seasons, and experiencing Japan's natural beauty. Such moments are also an important part of this experience. For those with a license, of course, we also offer introductory diving for beginners. How about adding a day at the sea to your Tokyo trip? Japan's hidden charms are surely waiting for you, not found in guidebooks. Experience a special day by the sea in Japan. 🌈 Hokulea Shonan is a small diving shop located in Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. About one hour by train from Tokyo. We guide you to Japan's seas, including Shonan and Izu, which can be enjoyed on a day trip from Tokyo. The theme is, "Let's embark on a journey to the unseen world!" Through diving, we hope you can feel the beauty of Japan's seas, its rich nature, and the leisurely flow of time by the seaside. Our tours are small group-based. Beginners and those who are not confident swimmers can participate with peace of mind. We also offer guidance in English. Why not add a day by the sea to your memories of your trip to Japan? We will suggest the perfect sea experience for you, tailored to your diving experience and travel schedule. Feel free to contact us!

This is an announcement from Kawayu Onsen Hotel Kitafukurou. ~Yuagaricha Saryo~ [Nekoban Engawa] Open for one day only♨!! Yuagaricha Saryo Here’s a message from Nekoban Engawa. 😊📨 For someone like me who loves hot springs and lakes, Teshikaga Town is one of my relaxation areas. This time, we will be having a POP-UP for the first time at Kawayu Onsen Hotel Kitafukurou @kitafukurou.kawayu The quality of the hot spring, along with the open-air baths, is wonderful, making it one of my favorite hot springs. We will be using the lobby with a fantastic view of the windows to run a day cafe. After soaking, I would be delighted if you could stop by for a casual tea.❀ The menu may change, but we will be serving the classic Nekoban dish, sesame tofu & special Chinese rice dumplings. New on the menu! Taiwanese tea plum, which is salted plums soaked in oolong tea and honey, is recommended as a summer snack. As for sweets, I wonder whether it will be water yokan or something else... Please look forward to the menu on the day!♡ Rumor has it that soft serve ice cream will be appearing soon at Kitafukurou, so I’m looking forward to that as well! What kind of scenery will we encounter at the end of July?🌿 I hope you enjoy a relaxing time at your leisure. On the day, I hope the owner can enjoy it casually too. (^^) We are looking forward to seeing everyone!♨ [Date] Friday, July 31st 11:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Last Order 3:30 PM) [Location] Kawayu Onsen Hotel Kitafukurou 1-9-15 Kawayu Onsen 1-chome, Teshikaga Town, Kawakami District, Hokkaido @kitafukurou.kawayu

Kamagaya Daibutsu The Kamagaya Daibutsu is a bronze seated statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, created in 1776 by Bun'emon Okuniya (Fukuda) in Kamagaya-juku for the purpose of ancestor worship, commissioned from the metalworker Takagawa Shūzen in Kanda, Edo. During the opening ceremony of the Buddha's eyes, the road from his home to the Daibutsu, about three towns (approximately 327 meters), was covered with Ryukyu fabric, and more than fifty monks were invited to perform a ceremonial procession accompanied by music. It is said that the food served at that time was extravagant, prepared for 300 people by a high-end restaurant in Edo, with gold and silver decorations on the second course, and local folk songs of the time sang, "Silver in the bowl, gold in the dish, and for the grand finale, golden coins on the plate." The Kamagaya Daibutsu was located along the Kioroshi Kaidō, connecting Edo to Chōshi, making it a landmark for travelers. In the illustrations of the "Kisoji Meisho Zue" depicting famous places along the Tokaido Road, the Kamagaya Daibutsu is shown alongside people traveling the road, with horses running in the grasslands. The Daibutsu at the entrance of Kamagaya-juku was likely well-known among the people of Edo. The Kamagaya Daibutsu has been cherished by the local community, surviving the anti-Buddhist movements of the Meiji Era and metal requisitions during the Asia-Pacific War. Today, it is loved by the local people across generations, becoming a station name and inspiring products that bear its name. I am a big fan of Toyooka's Mongol Culture Center, and find myself visiting there once every couple of years, even though it has not had many major updates. Imagine my surprise, then, to learn it has a collaboration with a new anime! Incredibly, the original work's author seems to be named "Tomato Soup". What a world we live in! For this new collaboration, which will run from August of this year to the next, the focus will be on notable female figures in Mongol history, especially Sorkhokthani Beki and Töregene. For fans of the anime, apparently there will be anime-related goods and content as well, so it is sure to have something for fans of either history or anime. Already the museum had a very interesting section where you could not just see but even try on various Mongolian clothes, but it sounds like they may specifically be adding some based on these Mongolian princesses. I think it is great that Toyooka maintains such an active cultural life, and I can't wait to go to my favorite museum in Hyogo again to see the new exhibit! Toyooka is a bit out of the way, but visitors are well rewarded with the famous Kinosaki Onsen, delicious crab cuisine, and lots of beautiful wildlife, including the nearby Stork Preserve. I would definitely recommend visiting!

Visiting Kotohira Town to worship at Kotohiragu Shrine, it is essential to not only challenge the classic 785 stone steps but also to arrange a leisurely afternoon tea break along the way. About halfway up, around the 500th step, you will find Kamitsubaki Cafe, hidden within the dense forest. This place is a refined space produced by Shiseido Parlour. As you step inside, large floor-to-ceiling windows offer a breathtaking view of the lush mountain scenery. Sitting by the window, you can enjoy the vibrant greenery while listening to the gentle breeze and birdsong, instantly escaping the daily hustle and bustle. The seasonal dessert sundae in the cafe is a colorful and visually stunning creation that is hard to resist. The perfect blend of sweet and sour fruits with rich cream instantly soothes tired legs. Additionally, you can enjoy Shiseido's famous "Beauty Princess" peach rose jelly drink here. The pink bottle is quite eye-catching, filled with plenty of Nagano Prefecture peach puree and chunks. Each sip brings a rich peach aroma and elegant rose fragrance, infused with collagen and hyaluronic acid, making it both refreshing and nourishing—a dream product for girls. Kamitsubaki is not just a perfect resting spot during your pilgrimage, but also a healing space embraced by nature.
