The large-flowered bellflower at Bansai Fureai no Mori is in full bloom! The large-flowered bellflower is blooming in the "Fureai no Mori" that spreads along the way from Bansai Onsen to Horokayantou. On May 5th (Tuesday), we held the "Rekifune River Clear Stream Carp Streamers Children's Day Mini Event"! The weather was favorable, and the event was a great success. Thank you to everyone who attended! Additionally, the installation of the carp streamers along the Rekifune River has concluded as of May 6th. We look forward to next year's event!

Starting today, April 28th (Tuesday), a new souvenir from Taiki Town, "Sora Tobu Tigre - A Journey Through the Scents of Taiki Town," is now available at Cosmall Taiki! This souvenir was jointly developed by the local revitalization team of Taiki Town and the French patisserie ami poire. Tigre is a baked good originating from France, featuring a moist financier base with a rich ganache filling in the center. We focused on using local ingredients, including those from Taiki Town (haskap, raspberries, honey), Tokachi (eggs), and Hokkaido (flour, butter). Eating it will surely make you feel as if you are exploring Taiki Town. Be sure to give it a try!

The 36th Rekifune River Clear Stream Carp Streamers has begun! This springtime tradition in Taiki Town features around 550 carp streamers swimming above the Rekifune River! This year, we have also installed handmade carp streamers created by children during a workshop held in March. On May 5th, we will host the annual "Children's Day Mini Event"! Today in Taiki Town It’s another clear, sunny day! The Hidaka Mountain Range under Tokachi’s winter blue sky is more beautiful than any photo can convey.

<Taiki Town urban area, the season’s first snowfall has arrived> Last night’s snow left a light dusting across the town center. This view comes from the newly completed Mt. Moiwa observation deck. You can still drive to the observation deck parking lot, but the forest road is not plowed, so deeper snow will make the site inaccessible by car.

A viewing deck has been completed at Moiwa yama Forest Park. A viewing deck has been completed near the summit of Mowa-yama, located on the northern side of Taiki Town. Because snow removal does not take place during winter, your last chance to enjoy the panoramic views of the Hidaka Mountain Range is before the snowfall begins. Be sure to pay a visit!

Taiki Town Autumn Foliage Update A maple tree near the gazebo in Hakurin Park is turning brilliant shades, creating a beautiful gradient of color 🍁 The rest of the park is expected to reach peak fall color a little later.

The 49th Kashiwabiraki Park Festival took place on September 21. Due to severe weather from the night before, the event was scaled down and moved to the Lifelong Learning Center, and popular attractions such as food vendor booths and the one-tatami-shop were canceled. We sincerely apologize to everyone who had been looking forward to enjoying the event outdoors. Even so, many people attended for the stage events and to buy local specialties such as pears from Soma City and Taiki Wagyu. The prize draw was also a great success! Thank you to everyone who came!

The festival celebrates the gifts of nature and invites everyone to enjoy a summer day by the clear stream in a major seasonal event!! Bansei Natural Flower Garden — Flowering Update Hiougi iris (ヒオウギアヤメ) and Ezo daylilies (エゾカンゾウ) have begun to bloom at Bansei Natural Flower Garden, mainly around the Horokayanto pit-dwelling cluster.

Spring is in full swing! In Taiki Town, the flower season has truly begun. Shibazakura (moss phlox) are at their best on Mount Mewa! Around Sakashita Senkyo and at Taiki Shrine, we found a variety of flowers. Taiki Town on February 6th The heavy snowfall that fell between February 4th and 5th was followed the next day by clear Tokachi skies, so I went for a drive around town. The familiar scenery had turned into a beautiful snowy landscape!

＼Oikamana Lake has frozen over!／ Nearly the entire surface of Oikamana Lake (Ikebana Nae Swamp) along the Pacific coast has frozen. In spots where the ice is thick enough, you can walk on it. You can also hear strange sounds when the ice shifts or cracks. This is a fleeting, otherworldly sight that lasts only until the snow begins to fall.
