Did you know there's a Pokémon manhole cover, a “Pokéfuta,” on the road beside the west exit multi-storey car park in front of Awara-Onsen Station? In March, when the Hokuriku Shinkansen station opened, a Pokéfuta featuring Dragonite—the Fukui support Pokémon—and designs inspired by various local landscapes were installed around the prefecture. Hunting for them could make a fun trip. More installation sites are planned. Awara City's Pokéfuta shows Dragonite soaking in a hot spring—perhaps a nod to Awara Onsen! ©Pokémon. ©Nintendo/Creatures Inc./GAME FREAK inc. Today, the unveiling ceremony of "Gundam Manhole" was held at the Engaru Town Arts and Culture Exchange Plaza Metro Plaza. Engaru Town was realized when I applied for a project that BANDAI NAMCO is doing. And Engaru Town is the birthplace of Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who was in charge of character design for Mobile Suit Gundam, and has a big connection to Mobile Suit Gundam. This time, two items were donated: "Ganbo Iwa" and "Zaku and Roadside Station Okhotsk Activities in Engaru Forest". "Gundam Manhole" will be on display at Metro Plaza until October 1, after which it will be installed in Metro Plaza and Okhotsk in Roadside Station Engaru Forest. When you come to Engaru Town, please come and see it!
