This is one of the first photos I took near Tokyo Station. I looked up at the tall buildings and enjoyed the city air while taking landscape photos that I couldn't take in my Local area. When I entered the station building, I saw Tokyo Station that I could see through the window, and I involuntarily clicked the shutter. The painting-like frame composition expresses the presence of Tokyo Station. Gari is a stylish photo that can only be taken in Tokyo.

Tokyo Station in the Rain Part 2 I took a reflection of a water puddle at Tokyo Station in the rain on the same day as the other day's posts. The orange glowing buildings of Tokyo Station are reflected to create symmetry.

The rainy sky was just right, so I took a picture aiming for the reflection of the water pool at Tokyo Station before the rain stopped. I shot it from various angles, and this one was the best. Tokyo Station on a rainy night is really beautiful.

It is the Marunouchi station building of Tokyo Station that everyone knows. It is a symbol of the history of Japan's railways. After completion in 1914, it was partially destroyed during the Pacific War, and restoration work was completed in 2012. I think the spirit of trying to restore historical buildings to their original state is cool Japan.

I took a picture of Tokyo Station from Marunouchi KITTE in Tokyo. Tokyo Station opened on December 20, 1914. The Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 caused almost no damage, but it was damaged by the Tokyo Air Raid in 1945. After the war, the Marunouchi station building was rebuilt with a reduced number of floors, and in 2012 Heisei 24, it was restored to its appearance at the time of opening.

This is the Christmas tree on the first floor of KITTE Marunouchi that I stopped by before going out to eat with my family on Saturday, December 24, 2022. I happened to know about its existence on the TV program "Wandering Stopover" on Japan. A nice Christmas tree I found near Akabane Station. I'm pretty excited for the holidays. I like the romantic format of Christmas in Japan much more than I do the spending time with family version in America. There's something about the cold weather that makes it feel romantic spending time together with the person special to you. Another great thing about this time of year is all of the buffets! I love going to the buffets and trying all the different food. It's a much different style than the U.S. too which is fun. I can't say I don't miss eating a nice Christmas ham or turkey with some stuffing basically the same as thanksgiving lol, but what's awesome about the buffets is they always have some sort of prime rib or king crab, one really special item that everyone lines up for lol. One thing I miss is the holiday portion of Christmas back in America, but the New Years holiday in Japan more than makes up for it. Also the illuminations in Japan are always awesome. Places like Ginza, Tokyo Station, etc. always have incredibly beautiful showings. Didn't get to go to any last year, but this year I'm hoping to be able to visit at least one!

I stopped by Tokyo Station over the weekend to take care of an errand and decided to have lunch at the gyutan restaurant "Rikyu" 利久. Everything tasted amazing and the stew was especially good. I always enjoy the soup served with gyutan, it's sort of like a refreshing break in between the savory bites of beef. Plus the beef inside of the soup is soft from being boiled and has a really nice texture to it. I was pretty surprised at the salad actually, as well. I usually am not a fan of the salads served with gyutan but this one had the perfect amount of beef on it and the dressing tasted quite nice, so that was a welcome surprise. The wagashi served with it tasted really good. I'm not sure about what it was exactly, but it was red bean paste with some sort of white filling, maybe even white bean paste, but it was a good way to finish the meal.
