As some of you may know from newspapers and news, Lake Onneto "Mountain Inn Nonaka Hot Spring", which suffered a fire last month, is currently completely closed. At the entrance to the site, a rope is stretched and a "No Entry" sign is posted. However, unfortunately, trespassing is constant, and some people come to the Hot Spring and enter the Hot Spring without permission. Nonaka Hot Spring is currently closed. It seems that false information is also streamed on social media, but please refrain from visiting, including out of interest. Currently, there is no prospect of reconstruction, but we will inform you again when it reopens, so thank you.

This is the Scene of Lake Onneto most recently (12/20). There is snow on the surface of the lake, but if you brush off the snow with a brush, frozen trees and ice bubbles will appear. * As I told you last time, it is very dangerous to walk on a frozen lake. For details on how to get to the lake in winter, please see the link below (Tourist Association website). https://www.town.ashoro.hokkaido.jp/kanko/spot/onneto_area/spot-13.html...

This is the Scene of Lake Onneto in the morning of 12/6 (Friday) today. The temperature is relatively warm, and there are many hot water pots at the back of the lake and there is no ice. It is very dangerous because it seems to freeze and loosen repeatedly, so please be careful when approaching the surface of the lake. In addition, as I have told you several times since the other day, the Lake Onneto Line, the road leading from Nonaka Hot Spring to the lake, will be closed today and will be closed to both cars in winter. When heading to the lake on foot, please take proper measures against snow and cold weather to avoid accidents. Lake Onneto is about to enter ❄️ a Authentic winter

This is the Scene of the Lake Onneto as of 12/2 (Monday). The surface of the lake is partially frozen, but the ice is still thin. In recent years, the number of people visiting for the purpose of ice bubbles has increased, but the strength of the ice is very weak in areas where natural gas is emitted, and there are places where it does not completely freeze even in Authentic winter. Therefore, it is very dangerous to ride on the surface of the lake, and it is not recommended by the tourism association. Also, as we reported the other day, Route 949 leading to Lake Onneto (the gate in front of the Hot Spring) will be Closed on December 6th. When visit, please take proper measures against snow and cold, and please Fun the winter Lake Onneto safely.

This is the Scene of Lake Onneto today (11/25). The road entering Lake Onneto from the national highway is a compacted snow ice burn. Please be careful when passing. The surface of Lake Onneto is only thin ice at the water's edge. It will take some time for the ice to form firmly. On the Lake Onneto Line, which leads to the lake, the gate from Nonaka Hot Spring will close at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 6, and both cars will be closed during the winter season (until April 11 next year). Please note that the road from the national highway to the Hot Spring will not be blocked, but you will not be able to go beyond it to the lake by Car.

On Sunday, June 4, we held the 2023 Reiwa 5 Mt. Meakan Safety Prayer Festival. This year, about 30 people, including related organizations and general participants, attended and prayed for the safety of the mountain. After the ceremony, a mountaineering party was held with the pre-applicants. The weather was not very good, with light rain on the way and a very strong wind blowing near the summit, but each participant seemed to be enjoying the climb.

What kind of place is Ashoro? We will introduce plenty of Ashoro attractions and sightseeing spots to everyone who sees the COOL JAPAN VIDEOS, so thank you! Ashoro is the largest town and village in Japan in the northeastern part of Tokachi. Forestry and agriculture are thriving, and about 80% of the town's area is forested. The population is about 6,500. Basically, you can travel by car in the town, and access by car from major cities in Hokkaido is as follows. ・About 1 hour by car from Obihiro ・About one and a half hours by car from Kushiro ・About one and a half hours by car from Kitami ・About 3 and a half hours by car from Sapporo ・About 3 and a half hours by car from Asahikawa One of the popular tourist spots of such a Ashoro is "Ashoro Galaxy Hall 21" in the center of the Ashoro. It was originally built as an ashiyoro station on the Hokkaido Chihoku Kogen Railway "Furusato Galaxy Line" and was registered as a roadside station in 2004, but after the "Furusato Galaxy Line" was discontinued in 2006, it was reopened in 2011 and became its current appearance. In the facility, the tracks and trains used for 95 years are reproduced by making use of the original platform. In addition, Ashoro is the birthplace of singer-songwriter Chiharu Matsuyama, and the "Chiharu Matsuyama Gallery" in the facility is decorated with her favorite guitar and stage costumes. "Onneto" is recommended for those who want to enjoy sightseeing spots surrounded by Ashoro nature. Onneto is a lake with a circumference of 2.5 km west of Akan-Mashu National Park and was formed by the eruption of Mt. Meakan about 2,000 years ago. Since the color of the lake surface changes depending on the season, weather, and where you see it, it is also called "Goshikinuma" and "Mysterious Lake". * It takes about 50 minutes by car from the Ashoro city center. * During the winter period December ~ April, the road leading to the lake is closed and vehicles are not allowed to pass. For details, please see the website of the Ashoro Tourism Association. Finally, we would like to introduce some of Ashoro's most popular events. The "Ashiyoro Furusato Bon Odori Ryogoku Fireworks Festival" held every August is the largest event in the town where as many as 8,000 fireworks dye the night sky of Ashiyoro in vivid colors * In 2022, only fireworks were launched. When sightseeing in Hokkaido, please come to Ashoro. Japan's largest town with untouched nature awaits you with the best hospitality.
