Today, I would like to introduce you to Hachioji's super famous café "Papelburg". This café features an interior inspired by southern Germany, where you can enjoy delicious coffee and desserts. What I received this time is a seasonal parfait. This parfait not only has an artistic look, but also layers of jelly and cream that make the seasonal fruit even more delicious. The interior is designed by a professor from Tama Art University, and no matter which seat you sit in, you will find wonderful discoveries. You can take a bus from Hachioji Station. It's a little far from the station, but it was a café worth a visit!

"Kino Forest Coffee Shop" Next to Happy Kino, a coffee shop supervised by morihico. Many of the ingredients used in the menu are local, and some products can be purchased at Hapio. Tables and chairs were arranged in an open space, and the atmosphere was very calm. Pictured is Pizza Arrigo with Hazelnut Latte and Neapolitan. It was served in a skillet, so it was hot and very tasty! I would like to ? try a hamburger steak next time Address: Hokkaido Kawato-gun, Otosara-cho, Kino Odori Nishi 6-chōme-1 Business hours: Weekdays ~ 10:00-19:00 Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays ~ 10:00-20:00 Closed during the year-end and New Year holidays

kominka Cafe Jorro I had pancakes and cold brew iced coffee. Every menu is attractive, such as curry and cakes that use mainly local ingredients and do not use chemical seasonings! The coffee beans are made from Morihiko in Sapporo, and the pancakes and coffee were very delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the taste of the food were ✨ great. Was walking through Shimokitazawa the other day and found some really cool street art on the shutter of some shop or something (not really sure what the building was). Just thought it was cool to see this. Don't see much street art in Japan, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as usually it involves vandalism, but this doesn't look to be vandalism, although I could be wrong. Either way I think it's a nice improvement to the empty shutters and definitely adds a little spice to the area. Aesthetically I'm a huge fan since I enjoy learning about Japanese history, especially samurai, swords, etc., even if this is a fantastical rendition of the likes you'd find in some anime or manga. Shimokitazawa is a pretty cool place though. It seems like a lot of younger people go shopping in the area and there's a lot of restaurants as well. If you're into coffee, cafes, and unique shops with trinkets, etc. it's an enjoyable place to visit. Really trendy

Went to やなか珈琲 and bought some coffee beans this weekend. I did not know why the beans were green, but it seems it’s because they have not been roasted yet and they roast them after they are ordered. I came back to the shop in 20 minutes and they had turned brown from being roasted and smelled really good. I tried ブルボン from Brazil and they taste really good! They have many kinds of beans so I wanna try different kinds next time and also sit down for a cup of coffee in the shop itself☕️

Went to Shinjuku over the weekend and found a really awesome plaza with an open-style food court that had several different shops inside of it. I was kind of craving some tacos or something ethnic at the time so I went and got a burrito at "Chronic Tacos" because it looked really tasty. It's kind of a "build-your-own burrito" system which is nice. You can choose the type of meat you want in your burrito (I chose spicy pork) and and other toppings I think. I also added guacamole to mine. You can add it on the side or have it put into the burrito as well. I wanted to try a taco as well but since there were other restauraunts I grabbed two slices of pizza at a place called "Cucinova." The pizza tasted great, and the spicy slice that I got had the perfect amount of spicyness! The food was definitely great at both places, although maybe the burrito was a bit expensive. I think it was ¥1200 for a drink and the burrito. They could probably make it a little cheaper, although Mexican cuisine always seems to be a bit expensive in Japan. Maybe it has to do with ingredients. Not sure though. Overall, I definitely recommend checking it out. They've got a coffee place as well and while I didn't get a coffee from there the scones looked pretty tasty! I think there was a bar as well if you're looking to grab some drinks with a friend.
