After the Guerrilla Thunderstorm This summer has seen many guerrilla thunderstorms. This happened when I visited Mamada Hachimangu Shrine for the wind chime festival, and after a guerrilla thunderstorm passed, I noticed a brief moment of sunshine with droplets on the tanzaku (wishing strips), prompting me to take a photo. After the intense guerrilla thunderstorm enveloped the shrine, light briefly shone through the clouds. It was a moment when the wind chimes, adorned with raindrops, quietly conveyed the changes in the summer sky.

The Summer Garden at Tokachi Hills in Makubetsucho, Hokkaido. The main display features a tunnel of colorful inflatable rings. The shadows reflecting on the ground on a sunny day were also beautiful.

At the Akagi Kogen Service Area on the downbound side of the Kanetsu Expressway, there is a park behind the shops. In spring, there are spots where tulips and other flowers are planted. On clear days, you can see the snow-capped Mt. Komagatake and Mt. Hotaka. While walking in the park, I spotted the snow-covered Mt. Komagatake between the red and white cherry blossoms.

[A Village Full of Flowers] Our village hosts a beautiful event every June. This year, many villagers contributed, and pansies and marigolds were planted in the flower beds along the roads. 🌸 Villagers divided into groups for planting flowers, mowing grass, and cutting trees. We were fortunate to work under a clear blue sky without any rain showers, sweating a little as we toiled. Staff from the town hall and local construction workers also participated, helping with the preparation of seedlings, collecting finished pots, and cleaning up. A clear morning in Azumino, where you can see Omachi and Hakuba The village of Azumino is now filled with melting snow from the Northern Alps 😄

In June, Kagawa Prefecture not only boasts the azure scenery of the Seto Inland Sea but also welcomes the blooming season of hydrangeas at Mt. Shiude in Mitoyo City. As you slowly ascend the winding mountain road, you can see blue, purple, and pink hydrangeas adorning both sides of the path, as if draping a soft colorful garment over early summer. Upon reaching the observation deck at the summit, the breathtaking view unfolds before you. The islands of the Seto Inland Sea scatter across the horizon, appearing especially clear against the bright sky, while the blooming hydrangeas reflect the colors of the sea and sky, creating a unique and stunning landscape of Mt. Shiude. I came back again this year! It's the Koinobori Festival at the Ryujin Suspension Bridge 🎏 I usually arrive early, so there weren't 1,000 carp this time 💦 This year's new discovery! The "Ryujin Café" I casually dropped by was absolutely amazing ☕️ Looking up at the carp from below was much more dynamic and beautiful than viewing from above, as they seemed to swim through the sky ✨ The scenery was beautiful, and I was thrilled to find such high-quality food as well. From the summit of a small mountain called Uomidake in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, you can see a landscape that feels like a foreign land. Since there are not many tourists, you can take your time.

These spring flowers have long been beloved in Japan🌼 Their yellow petals shine like the sun, and just looking at them lifts your spirits.
